    God damn.
This version, with everyone else in the background not even listening, not giving a flying shart, really nails it.
But he just keeps on bleeding all over them.
    Goddammed gem.

I was just saying that out loud as I listened. Would they have really been listening had they known Blaze was not long for this world? Had they been able to see the beauty? Probably not. We have so much beauty in front of us every day that we overlook. It's a shame. I thank Blaze for his words and lasting beauty. 63 now and appreciating more and more the gifts of people like Blaze.

I only really knew of the late great Blaze through Lucinda Williams wonderful song Drunken Angel and more recently the wonderful album of Blaze Foley songs recorded by Gurf Morlix (Blaze Foley's 113th Wet Dream) but to hear such a beautiful song performed by the writer is just magic. Thanks so much for the clip.

What a blessing to have this to enjoy 35 years later. It's so beautiful. Blaze is so d*mn funny with his banter... a Cincinnati newscaster.
