I loved Wildcat and I'm sad to see it go, but I definitely think that this is a worthy successor.

I love the pre-lift, the drop, the nonstop action, the speed, the sideways drops, the barrel rolls...it's got it all. Even the length is pretty good. Shame I can't ride coasters anymore due to a car accident...not my fault but my back and neck are screwed even after a million dollar back surgery
Wildcat's Revenge looks to be a solid 9.5/10 ride overall. Fantastic layout and classic RMC build quality and elements, but unfortunately no dolphin breaks 😔
On the old wildcat pre-lift section, it may have been slower and less elements, but you already knew you were going to be ripped to shreds. The anticipation was insane. You knew CTE was in your future.

@@KrazyK314 the structure underneath the underflip still has track form the original drop. It adds extra strength, so it’s kinda genius. It’s easier to see from the sides than the POV.
First went to Hersheypark when I was about 12...(Sooper Dooper Looper was the rage then)...Not sure if I ever rode the original Wildcat...but I'm now 58 and rode Revenge this past weekend....A great addition to the Hersheypark and RMC lineup!

Wildcat revenge looks great but this side by side really makes me appreciate steel vengeance more. It follows mean streaks old layout to a T.
Everyone gets a hard on for steel vengeance but I miss the original lightning rod the new redo is not as good the ride in the back on original lightning rod couldn’t be beat and I’m typically not a back row snob my ride mate was terrified the ride undressed her and that look best coaster experience hands down that poor young girl was terrified
I meant to say I’m not a back seat liker really I don’t see the whip every one swears by even on original LR but that back seat ride was priceless that girl was terrified

This is actually a good thing for RMC because it shows they that they are willing to significantly alter a rides' layout while improving it.
OG Wildcat really became Mildcat when Wildcat's revenge released.
I think it’s safe to say that Wildcat got it’s revenge.

Wildcat’s Revenge. No brainer. Unlike Splash Mountain at Disney this rickety, headache/whiplash inducing thing needed an overhaul! RMC has done it again😁

You should edit the speed of the original to sinc it up. Have something like "1.5x" on screen to demonstrate how much faster the RMC is. Makes for a more effective comparison.

@@Premier_Thrills I've seen a lot of these comparisons, I just think it's a constructive suggestion for how to make them more compatible with the purpose, demonstrating sections that are removed, sections that are added, and how much faster certain sections are.

@@Premier_Thrills Fair point. I am always curious how the structure was utilised though, especially since most of the wood on Wildcat's Revenge besides the underflip appears new.

What a downgrade
Actually it’s an upgrade as it’s faster has inversions and is smoother. RMC really never “downgrades” wooden coasters.

Mean Streak really was nothing special layout wise had almost no airtime and just consited multiple large turns. Even if you can handle rough rides, Mean Streaks layout was very boring for a woodie. There was a time where it was onc butter smooth and had more momentum…but that was kind of short lived.
Steel Vengeance does everything Mean Streak couldn’t do so that can apply for Wildcats Revenge compared to OG Wildcat.
