Is it possible to program a cinelog 35 with the O3 system and DJI remote controller 2 to have a hover mode or something? In case I have to get out of my goggles?
Thank you for reaching back out. And I'm sure the ducklings appreciated the time and care you took with them. Hopefully they're doing well and healthy. I've rescued squirrels and kittens back to health and finding home for them. Volunteered with baby tigers before. It so satisfying seeing the care you put into them make a difference and giving them a chance.
i'm interested in the hobby and have been search at the different equipment. why are the dji systems the only recommended goggles/video system? are they better in some way for Cinematic FPV over other HD systems or analog. what is your experience with each system compaired to dji?
Super thanks for this nice informative video. I myself have been flying the dji fpv for 2 years now and now want to buy a drone for more distance so this will probably be the Chimera 7 pro. My question is which batteries do you recommend for long distance flying with this drone?
Are you fling just DJI 03 on the Chimera? I have TBS on my other long range quads and TBH it's just ok - even though it hasn't failed me yet, I still feel nervous about it. I'd rather be all DJI and I figure if the video is working as far away as my TBS is.... the RC has to be there too
i dont see why you like that controller so much it has super small gimbals which are bad for precise flying and binding crossfire is super easy you press a button on the reciver and a button on the controller and thats it and the dji controller only works with dji stuff so if you have different quads that run on crossfire or elrs you cant use that controller with my radiomaster i can fly all my drones even the tinywhoops that run on frsky i just have to switch the model in the controller and it binds after i did the binding prozess once for all my drones
Nice video! How do you deal with dji fpv controller 2 disconnection when goggles lose signal? I heard about this problem in other videos, maybe dji already solved it. I currently have the tbs tango 2 but I am evaluating switching to the dji radio 🤔
I wanted an Avata for a long time, but I see tons of videos of them falling out of the sky while trying to do minor flips and rolls or even hard turns. I really don't want to buy something that will feel like a dog in a few weeks/months once I gain a bit of confidence while flying. The defender 25 seems like an awesome alternative that I've had my eye on recently.
Hey Bud. Just watching your video. You really inspired me to do a channel. Learn a lot from your channel. Keep up the good work. Jaime her from Edmonton Alberta Canada.
Hi, Danny. May I ask if you did any modification to your controler? Since i think my fpv doesn't have such good signal, specially in mountain and flying through cavity. Thank you very much.
Hey Danny, cheers for the tips.. just what i needed. I’ve been contemplating buying the chrimea7 for a while, and I’m sure i want it but wasn’t too sure about the setup.. thanks to you I’m confident now to go ahead and grab the kit you advise 😊.. by the way i live in the Middle East, some super cool dreamy landscapes here. Do you work closely with iFlight? Are you sponsored in any way or form? I've herd some not so great things about their customer service. Have you had any problems?
@Mcgeee I checked the Chimera. Do you know which receiver it uses? It says it's long-range fpv, so it must be some long-range receiver. The product page lists only the vtx details. I have a Taranis FrSky Q X7 tx that I want to be able to use. I contacted iFlight support over chat, and she said you cannot use FrSky tx. Also, do they allow us to swap the receiver after purchase? Hey Danny. Great compliments again on your great content. I think you provide so great videos which are very informativ as well. Maybe you can help me out: So far I flew the dji fpv and avata but never a real drone. I just ordered a defender 25 with the li ion battery, but now I am missing a charger. I am thinking getting a Chimera later this year, as soon as may flying skills improve. But now what battery is better for flying fpv drones. Lipo or Li ion? I am tending towards Li ion, but not for a specific reason. I just think they are safer while charging. Which batteries are you using on your Chimera? Which battery solution would you recommend? Thx for your help!
I have a spark and an air 2. Been wanting to get into fpv for a long time but it seems so intimidating from the outside and it costs a lot of money. Everytime i think i have all the bits picked out i think of something else. Ive seen some pretty good deals on the used market though. I may go that route just to get my foot in the door
Thank you for this video! I have been thinking about picking up an avata for a while now and I just got a new gopro! Can you give me the link to the gopro video you suggested? For some reason it never came up in the vid.
Hello, great, I don't speak English. I will use a translator. I would like to know if it is possible to record from the dji fpv controller 2 to the dji unit 3?,,,, And if so, would this have to be configured from Beta fly?, thank you!!! 👍
Are there any rules of the land if your DRONE say gets out of range and drops to the ground? Are you able to track it by GPS? Will people steal the drone? Will people attack ur drone out of air?

Or get them and see for yourself I guess.
What's wrong with Remote Controller 2? I don't really see a difference between him and, for example, Radiomaster Zorro. The T16S is huge to carry around, I don't see the point in it. Earlier I flew FrSky Taranis Q X7s and after a few trips to the mountains I wanted to buy a small transmitter, but in the end I bought a whole used DJI FPV drone set mainly for the goggles and the controller.
Hi Danny, do you only fly with the O3 flight unit? What do you think about the O3 video signal problems, which many people are talking about, on your pre-assembled drones (5 inch or chimera) that are not dji? If you drop the video signal, do you also lose the radio signal? How does the drone behave? Have you ever had such problems? Thanks in advance and sorry for so many questions.
I've heard of some people with issues and the FPV community as a whole kinda loves to hate on the new DJI gear but I've only had good experience so far
@@Mcgeee Thank you for your reply and congratulations on your content. I'll ask you one last question if I may, as I'm approaching the world of fpv and wouldn't want to make any wrong purchases. So you only use O3 for both video and radio signal? Do you not use systems such as croossfire or others for radio on your drones? Thank you very much
I’m debating finally upgrading from the avata/dji FPV and getting the chimera 7 V2. I have no idea how a lot of the things (battery, landing, gps) work on these ones since I’m so used to the DJI ecosystem. Do you have a video on that?
Really depends on what you want to do many people will say get a nazgul but the best buy rn is actually the evoque. You have the f5D and F6D and the difference is 5" vs 6". The wisdom has been 5" is king for freestyle and pure acrobatics. 6" is more efficient and has more torque, you'll get better range out of it. If you want no props in ur video get the dead cat but it will fly worse mostly in the roll
@@MrLeeroyfpv Thanks for the info, I've watched everything I can find on it so far but dont feel educated enough to purchase it now. I defintely won't pull the trigger until I learn more and if I do get it. I'll start with short flights in a safe area to make sure the failsafes are working properly.
Really stuck on which remote to get the commando bundle that comes with the protek35 on iflight or just get the dji remote and protek35 separate along with the goggles v2 which I’m set on
And on the other vedio, I'm with you on being able to use the black magic and color correcting but untill I get there, ahem, if ever, then I like what you've used for the longer flight time and easier getting through tight spots. But do plan on going all the way with this as when FPV first came out I was so ready for it then life kinda got in the way and put things on hold. I appreciate what you do to help and explain what you use for different shots and why. Looking at the Avata, goggles 2 and may be adding a naked GoPro. Would just like a little more flight time but that flight time is about the same amount of time I get on my hobby grade RCs. 🤙 Ty . Also wasn't sure as all the videos I watch the quality was a tad off, then I realized my phone had changed my vedio quality. Changed it back and now I see that the quality is better than I thought. 🤣
I just purchased a Mavic 3 drone and turns out it’s bonded to the old owner , got any tips of what I can do next ? Because I’m unable to reach the previous owner
Nice video, dude. But I do not agree with Avata. It’s super expensive. And when you are new to fpv and want to learn how to fly manual properly there is a big chance you will crash your drone. With dron from dji every small crash will cost a kidney plus you will have to wait for quite a while for the repair.
Do you think crossfire/elrs transmission is a better link (commando, tango 2 pro) then the transmission system from the DJI goggles straight to the fpv controller 2?
Not necessarily better in my opinion just different. I’ve heard good / bad things about all of them. You can get different radios with ELRS and crossfire whereas DJI just has the one.
The goggles v2 with the controller 2 is not compatible with the caddx vista and the Air unit 1. The goggles are, but not the remote. They are compatible with the O3. You can use the caddx with the controller 2 but only with the goggles 2. And it doesn't make sense...
Thinking about FPV drones so I can get the higher frame rates from my Gopro (for some slow mo shoots). But curious... What kind of altitude can you get from a Chimera and if I am wanting to shoot straight down from a fixed position, how still can I get it / how would you mount the camera for that style of shooting (vs the swooping FPV style)?
If you want top down shots while maintaining altitude the best bet is a Mavic or other DJI drone. But you cn definitely get some awesome stuff with an FPV

I'm confused because I've heard bad things about the avata. Setup issues, camera issues, battery life issues, chargung issues, calibration issues. I'm kinda surprised this is a recommendation.
who told you a cross (shuriken) is the best shape for a drone, no, a dome star drone (3d cross and 3-line sphere) is the most stable, no lever wobble, also protects the drone as a shield sphere as flex membrane cantilever leaf spring ball
dont you know that cross bracing in cars makes it more sturdy, like in racing cars and bridges, therefore the x-shape is not the best for a drone, and not even the lightest, not even for props
the onboard camera is designed to low latency transmission over long ranges and suffers reduced quality when have low signal.(its designed purely to see where you are flying). the camera on top is purely for quality and is the video used for editing.
@@conservovirtus5796 i wouldnt want to recommend a system because i have yet to try all the hd systems avaliable and they are all user preference. but the systems you want to research, to see what suits your needs best are either Walksnail, HDzero, or DJI. all do it littlebit different to suit difference niches
Sponsored by Artlist and dji... I would not recommend the dji remote, it has horrible range and for the price (150$) you can get much better range and reliability, like using a Radiomaster boxer with elrs that has been tested to 100km (140$)
So what I got from this is that FPV camera footage is not good so in order to get good footage then you need a GoPro! What that said: Then 1. The image we see on the FPV goggles is NOT what the actual footage from the GoPro would be right? 2. The only benefit of the FPV would be the ‘experience’ of flying first person!!! 3. Does this mean a non-FPV drone would be best for best video quality? Such as the DJI mini Pro 4!
The only thing about using the fpv rc2 with the goggles is; if you loose video, you also loose connection to the RC for up to 5 seconds. A lot can happen in 5 seconds. That is why most pilots will use a separate transmitter and receiver module like ELRS, or TBS Crossfire. With this config, you will lose video waaaaay before you lose radio transmission, and are able to punch up to regain video.
The DJI radio is the worst decision you can make. You will lose your Chimera 100% certain of that, as soon as your video signal stutters, your radio link drops out and you will failsafe

who told you a cross (shuriken) is the best shape for a drone, no, a dome star drone (3d cross and 3-line sphere) is the most stable, no lever wobble, also protects the drone as a shield sphere as flex membrane cantilever leaf spring ball
dont you know that cross bracing in cars makes it more sturdy, like in racing cars and bridges, therefore the x-shape is not the best for a drone, and not even the lightest, not even for props
Just out of curiosity, what's the point of having a camera on the drone itself, if you have to attach one.
the onboard camera is designed to low latency transmission over long ranges and suffers reduced quality when have low signal.(its designed purely to see where you are flying). the camera on top is purely for quality and is the video used for editing.
@@StrifeCJ I see. Is there one with a good onboard camera?
@@conservovirtus5796 i wouldnt want to recommend a system because i have yet to try all the hd systems avaliable and they are all user preference. but the systems you want to research, to see what suits your needs best are either Walksnail, HDzero, or DJI. all do it littlebit different to suit difference niches
@@StrifeCJ So should I just get an Avata or something to avoid the extra expense of having to attach another camera?
@@conservovirtus5796 if you just want to fly with good quality video and dont want to build, or edit videos of your flights its the easy option 👍
Sponsored by Artlist and dji...
I would not recommend the dji remote, it has horrible range and for the price (150$) you can get much better range and reliability, like using a Radiomaster boxer with elrs that has been tested to 100km (140$)
GEPRC Mark 5 is the best
doing some drone givaway?
So what I got from this is that FPV camera footage is not good so in order to get good footage then you need a GoPro!
What that said:
Then 1.
If want do create something very special try fly Fpv drone at K2 Pakistan it will be mind blowing
why there is not a dual camera fpv drone. for true vr experience
zero demand for it and the video systems are already expensive. the r&d alone to manufacture a VR camera kit would be unprofitable.
Came here for FPV, but f@ck it... Big like for the Ducks!!!
Yesssss let’s gooo
The DJI radio is the worst decision you can make. You will lose your Chimera 100% certain of that, as soon as your video signal stutters, your radio link drops out and you will failsafe
be aware of the DJI Controller, its very Fragile, poorly processed, And you can hardly get spare parts.. Go Tango 2 Crossfire..
or RadioMaster on elrs protocol
Whats up
I only fly in the PC sim lol
