@Bollibompa for example with team black sheep crossfire radio and diversity receiver with the right antenna, you are good for 30km line of sight radio control, combine that with the dji o3 air unit video transmitter and dji integra goggles good for 20km line of sight and you have the latest best combo, elrs radio equipment is creeping up but lacks consistency on the hardware side

Most of the FPV pilots use ELRS nowadays. The range is a lot better than what DJI can offer you. Try it, it is cheap, reliable and outperforms videosignal most of the time
So dude I'm new in this hobby so what about tbs crossfire , what do you think about it ? Nowadays I've been using dji remote controler so I'm thinking about changing it
You can't recommend DJI controller 2 for real. If you lose signal on the goggles the drone failssafe even if you still have radio signal. DJI Controller must be avoided for any mid to long range flight.
I’m buying a Nazgul Evoque with the dji o3. For the headset I’m buying the dji goggles 2, but what should I go with on the controller? I get the receiver protocol options of DJI PNP, TBS Crossfire, and ExpressLRS 2.4 GHZ.
@@thaddeusdenton9264 its between elrs and tbs. If you have money, tbs is simple, no flashing voodoo needed, it just works Tango 2 controller is a small size perfect for travel, rx has a simple bind button. Elrs is cheaper but you got to be careful what hardware to buy and its complicated to configure at the moment you can only bind in software. Personally I'm a tbs guy, I know I'm getting the best
The "hate" is because it uses the same serial bus than the goggles, and for some reason if you lose video signal the O3 also shuts the radio signal, so if your video signal glitches you lose control of your drone. Almost every other radio protocol has waaaay more range than the video signal, so it's very rare to lose control of the aircraft.
So you do have an editor? I would like to know who he is! He does a great job and I’m thinking to hire someone that can help me with my job a little bit
Hey I have a question, can goggles 3 and dji controller fpv 3 work with Nazgul Evoque F5? I bought an Avata 2 with goggles 3 and fpv controller 3, and I'm happy but I'm planning on buying Nazgul Evoque F5 later for freestyle, my concern is if the DJI goggles and controller will work with Nazgul Evoque F5 Thanks uwu
What I did not hear ist the compatibility with the gear components ? Do I need a DJI goggle and does it pair to everything out there? What are the alternatives? What has the best overall usability longevity etc. I’m not into video footage so the fpv flying experience is primär important. What’s the best deal between long distance height and transportability? I understand that the avata 2 kit is not really good for height or long distance? Lots questions
Hey Danny! First of all thank u for this educational video for beginners.I have Defender 25 too and can i learn your settings on betaflight for it , is it possible? Thanks!
Solid video! Super informative :D Do you know if using a drone with an 03 Air Unit and DJI Goggles V2 still mean you get all of geo fencing limitations?
I am a beginner to flying fpv drones and I want to get the Nazgul 5 with the gropro hero 11 but I don't know what battery pack to pair with that, any recommendations?
Why would you need bigger drone and battery for range if ur goggles limits the flight distance anyways? Unless you mean flight time. I can go 6-8 km distance with Mini 3 if I want range.
Hey Danny, do you use Betaflight or INAV for the two long-range quads? I'm in the process of building a 7" for cinematic long-range flying and am quite confused which would suit me better
I’m not personally sure on analog range, but people use analog for long range all the time. If you get the goggles don’t get the controller, get a separate control link. I thought the DJI controller was just gonna be easy no fuss, no needing to become a computer engineer. And it totally was, until all the shortcomings came to light and I could no longer trust it. Get ELRS (or crossfire but gear is tough to get) and never look back.
This is a great video... I want to do FPV but I'm a cave diver lol, so I use an MP4 for all my drone footage. I'm playing with a Certus Pro (think that's what it's called) just to play around, but I kinda really want a Helion 🤣
Ever feel worried flying the nazgul 5 long-ish range with the DJI controller 2? I'm worried about loosing video and RC signal at the same time. Looking to move from DI FPV to Nazgul5 soon but the DJI Controller doesnt give me confidence at all.
Just switched to ELRS from the DJI controller. After my quad failsafed (and throttled up!) right into my truck when only 10 feet away. I looked into that issue and found I wasn’t the only one with throttle up issues after a failsafe. Before that I experienced control lag when video was dropping mbs, which is usually in not so great scenarios. Lastly the buttons, the worst crashes I’ve had with my quads were hitting the arm disarm on the shoulder by accident. So after 3 accidental disarms, laggy controls, not having enough buttons to set the controller up how I wanted and the 3 big failsafe crashes. Got a boxer max, put ELRS on all my quads and it was the best decision I’ve made so far in fpv. All those problems are gone now and the lower latency in the controls was instantly noticeable and gave me way more Confidence. Make the switch, or crossfire I’m sure would be fine.
@@mwhizzler476 I’m flying the full dji system and have zero confidence so as all your comments have suggested I’m going to ditch it completely and run a new controller. Most likely a tango 2 and crossfire as I like the form factor of the dji controller 2. Thanks for the help my dudes 🤝🏼
