It's not officially released yet, whoever's got it before the 15th it's because is it a pre-release sent by Samsung but you have to accept some rules that embargo certain types of informations like you can't run benchmarks on performance or battery life and publish them...at least not until Samsung says so.
I have a watch 7 - 44mm - no LTE. The battery lasts 48 hours, or a bit more. It charges in 2 hours. I have AoD turned off, heart rate every 10 minutes, stress manual, all sensors on, sleep features on every night. Pretty great watch. I wish charging would be 1hour less, but I can live with that
I have had the Galaxy Watch 6 44mm since December 2023. Regarding the battery in standby mode, it uses an average of 8% for 10 hours - 12 hours at rest (off the wrist). Last week I noticed that the training app was updated, I noticed that it was more fluid.
Dont let them worry you. A new devics always needs updates to improve things like this. It has nothing to do with the size battery. Every watch abd phone goes through a similar deal
Hello, how is the GPS performance? Have you ever walked a complex route and looked at the map? Does it ever go straight through corners or curves like in W5 and W6? Or have you ever ridden a bike with your GPS turned on? You can also try it while driving in the car. Since data exchange was slow at other hours, saving data to the map was not as efficient as the phone's GPS. My W5 Pro watch was always going straight through the bends on a mountain road.
Hello, can you check the operation of the clock in LTE mode, how the battery performs and whether the watch does not overheat when the range is poor, as it happened in older versions of watches, because I mainly want to use the watch in LTE mode
He was the first one to post on reddit the initial thoughts and hands on video of the watch 7. That added a lot of traction for his channel. Pretty decent content too.
Hes also the only one who's given us proper battery insight on the 7, so I'm following him close! As i haven't yet bit the bullet, bought a garmin venu 3 2 weeks ago and wondering if I should return.
I like watch 7 more than the ultra, the reason being i like my watches rounded. Watch 7 is also very slim when compared with other smart watches. I upgraded from my legendary galaxy gear sport. The only disappointment is the less than a day battery life.
Not sure how much this helps, but I used it golfing with Hole 19 and had my range finder and it was within 1 yard of the pin. My cousin had an old garmin watch and was like that's way more accurate than his old golf watch.
In these days of "Amazon Prime Day" I'm looking for a new smart/sportwatch. I have the 1st iteration of the Huawei Watch GT, so It could be the time to change. The Samsung 44mm is interesting, but I fear with an average usage: no AlwaysOn Display, some phone calls and texts, heart rate and sleep quality sensor ON at night, GPS active for a couple of hours 1-2 days a week, I won't be able to make it last more than 3 days. I imagine Power Saving mode disables all the sensors and not just the BT/Wi-FI and stuff like that. I hope to be wrong though... Could you confirm?
I use my watch 6 with heart rate monitoring, nfc, sleeptracking and so on and i get around 2 - 2.5 days of battery life out of it. When you do fitness tracking it really sucks battery tho...

ever since I got a smart watch a couple years ago I've worn it everyday. it's definitely a game changer. it has many uses but it's main benefit for me is that I never miss a text or call because my watch vibrates and I see it right away every time. for example if my phone is upstairs and I get a call, I can see it and answer it on my watch

NOT TRUE.. then was TOLD by Spectrum, I could NOT use the Watch at all without having a Samsung galaxy phone... that is was useless... well, IF I use it as a watch and don't really touch it it may last a day and a half.. IF I use it along with the phone for calls or texts or operate a Bluetooth speaker..it will last about half a day.... I don't see how this says 3 days...(??)

Probably get better battery life if you disable all the health features and sensors on it and optimize the hell out of it. The health features are fun at first, then they get boring and irrelevant. If there's something on your smartwatch you're not using disable it, and deny its permissions, or better yet, delete it.
Give it a few days also yeah the battery improvements are only really marginal...If you are using the screen a lot than it's not really that much better than past ones
Of course they will only increase the battery life fractionally... otherwise they won't have anything to market this product with. It will look the same, feel the same.. only a couple of parts they've changed on the inside. That's what all these cooperations are doing nowadays. It took iphone fourteen tries to catchup with a generic android phone battery backup. That's the world we live in now.

Why is no one reviewing the galaxy watch 7? I feel like the majority of people want this over the ultra. Thanks for the review!
I think samsung doesn't let them
Yeah lol
It is very similar to previous versions. It’s the Ultra who brings some new features.
Agreed...the Ultra is just wayyy too expensive to me, when it doesn't seem like it offers $300+ more worth of features.

Wow thanks for the info, it's cool to see that the smaller one now can do the same number even with like 40% smaller internal battery.
For me, battery life is quite short. It drains much faster with continuous heart rate tracking, so I disabled it. However, it still drains quickly.
