Homecoming referenced this particular scene with the ferry. The MCU, one of the most successful comic book franchises of the last decade, referenced a scene from a cheesy movie when comic book movies were bottoming out. That alone should say something.

For the time this was made and the limitations of graphics; especially compared to today’s standards. This is still one of the best fights I’ve seen in a Spider-Man movie. I mean seriously, say what you want about this trilogy but credit where credit is due.
My favourite part of the scene is when he stops the train. He betrayed his secret identity to save these people. Batman or superman would have never done that. So much heroism. Raimi spiderman was a real hero. Andrew Garfield's was acting on pure vengence. And we don't see Holland save people, He just stops big baddies.
Superman wouldn't need to do that because he doesn't even wear a mask and he has more than enough strength to stop the train before it reached the end of the tracks. However, this scene is still really inspiring
Thats why I love his spidey the other ones rely way to much on their website and hardly throws any punches. Hell I don't think Tom's spider has thrown a punch at a villian. Spiderman does use webs but at the end of the day he is a brawler and does fight alot in hand to hand.

Afterwards: "SUED! Train accident victims brought Spider-Man to Supreme Court for bodily injuries!" Peter and the other superheroes were forced to go into hiding.
Perfect incarnation of Spider-Man. The comics and all other versions we got since would have just made jokes and one liners rather than taking the situation seriously. One thing people need to respect and realise about the raimi spidey is he was serious when need be unlike Garfield and the MCU version.
Came back to watch this scene cause the ferry scene from Spiderman Homecoming reminded me of it. I think it was a great nod to one of the most iconic scenes in the best (in my opinion) spider-man movie.

In the original Spider - Man movies, I like how they show off his spider senses skill by him seeing when the track ends. They don’t show that off in the other movies.

I like how (at 0:40 when spidey and doc are fighting on the side of the train) spidey webs docs tentacle thing and doc tries to use that to pull him off the train, but Spider-Man thinks quick and webs the train to pull himself back. It’s probably a 6 second clip but there’s so much detail in this fight choreography. I love it!
You know looking back at these movies it's amazing and mind-blowing to see how far CGI and VFX have come. And after watching a lot of Corridor Crew videos it's so easy to see what is CGI and what is not in this movie XD

In the original Spider - Man movies, I like how they show off his spider senses skill by him seeing when the track ends. They don’t show that off in the other movies.

To be fair, he holds back, a lot. You can see that when Doc Ock first changes bodies with him. He realizes he holds back a lot when he punched I think Scorpio’s jaw off?
I like how (at 0:40 when spidey and doc are fighting on the side of the train) spidey webs docs tentacle thing and doc tries to use that to pull him off the train, but Spider-Man thinks quick and webs the train to pull himself back. It’s probably a 6 second clip but there’s so much detail in this fight choreography. I love it!

You know looking back at these movies it's amazing and mind-blowing to see how far CGI and VFX have come. And after watching a lot of Corridor Crew videos it's so easy to see what is CGI and what is not in this movie XD
