- Join the concrete crew as we finish up a bunch of work at the new yard. We finished off one storage shed and painted another. We haven't done any concrete for a few days but this stuff needs to get done. We are getting close! Enjoy

Bugs is just trying to make it look nice. He takes pride in his work. I think he's always mad/bothered because he's not blind to the fact that the other guys just dont care 90% of the time.
Bugs is always cranky because he's probably tired of watching the other guys sit around while he is working. Three times the age and can work circles around them. I'd be cranky too.

Yeah but at the same time he has no right to expect everyone around him to bust their tail like he does. No one can control what other do around them. You can only control yourself. Bugs doesn’t know how to separate things in his own head. He makes himself angry over things he can’t control. Usually people who feel the way he does, just leave and go work somewhere else. Anyway I’m sure there’s a lot more to it than just being mad at others work ethic. I think dude is just mentally tired. Physically he’s still got it but he doesn’t have the temperament anymore. Time to retire.

Ryan is not a construction guy and bugs is. That is always a problem when someone in charge doesn't get it. Ryan should have given bugs the keys and let home depot deliver what he and Francisco needed. Payed the 30 dollar delivery charge and got out of the way.

I really hope ray comes back next season. He has a great attitude towards everything and he’s very friendly towards the guys. If he gets comfortable with the skid steers he could be the mvp.

Ray has a a great attitude but you may be slightly underestimating the skilled labor aspect of what the other guys bring to the table. It takes years to get to where they are at. And if that wasn’t a heavy stable track loader and he did that in the bobcat he would have rolled right into the side of the truck destroying both.

Tino despite the car issues and family issues he truly works hard doesn’t complain and does anything and everything how ryan wants it! Ryan remember not everyone is perfect and everyone has battles they are dealing with everyday, deep down tino is a good dude 👍🏽👍🏽

Hes not reliable and dependable which is part of the job. Having him adds extra stress to Ryans full plate of stresses. When the economy cools off, those not great workers are first to go.
I have worked with people like bugs and I understand your frustration with their mood swings and how they are but it is what it is man, people like bugs are truly hard workers but it comes with a price. Last year I worked with a person just like bugs in construction, he was truly miserable in the mornings and throughout the day he would be in a bad mood if something even minor ticked him off, I'm assuming he had bipolar (not saying bugs does) but in the end of the day, he was probably the best worker in the company. I kind of just learned how and when to talk with him because I would know when hed be in his moods lol.
People are unique and different, everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses. It's human.
Got the same thing with landscaping with an older guy, I just let him approach me and not the other way around so he doesn't start raging off at me

I just did the same panel siding on my 3 car garage back and side. Wasn't too bad. Perfect for sheds.
Now I don't feel so bad about my couple of 1/4 to 1/2" gaps which I covered with trim also. 😆

A lot of Bugs behavior is most likely edited out. It was just a lot on that day and Ryan had enough so he showed some of it to us.

The new land is coming along great. I laughed at Grandma showing off her Easy Money tee shirt. You go, girl.
Ray may be taking a while to load that dirt, but he's trying to be careful and not tear stuff up which is a welcome change from some other people who have worked at Victory. He'll get more confident as he does it more. My ex-husband used to know how to do everything with equipment and just assumed everyone else could because he'd been doing it forever. Thankfully, my oldest son is raising his two kids to be able to do it all. He puts out scrap metal for the kids to practice welding and just lets them go. The 12-year-old girl is a better carpenter than most men and runs all the heavy equipment. They have fun doing these things, which is a good way to learn.
This has been a mostly great crew this year. It's been enjoyable watching all year long even with the frustrating bits. I can tell things are starting to wear on the nerves though. It's getting close to the end of the season. Oh no! 😳

Cut bugs some slack Ryan. I know you may not feel that it has to be perfect, but then you should not have asked Bugs to do it, because that's the type of pride he puts into his work - perfection. So when you tell him he needs to get it done tomorrow, and he tells you he feels rushed, what he's really telling you that although you're okay with putting up with a "rushed" product just to get it done, he really isn't.

It’s honestly hilarious how efficient you guys are at concrete, and how brutal a little carpentry is. Me and my 3 guys would knock that out in a 10 hour day maybe a few hours the next day. But it’s what we do…have us pour 3 yards and it’s taking two days and there’s gonna be a lot of whining 😂
Same with us carpentry we’re the best, we did 2 4x4 side wall slabs, took us 2 days 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I know you put up with bugs for years and even though the attitude makes you crazy you probably won’t let him go. He’s kind of your right hand man so I know how aggravating it makes you when he’s making you have a lot of stress, but try to work through it you’re doing great. Everything looks looks good. Ray trying to learn new skills is awesome and Ryan letting him is great. I had a great boss like that many years ago. I was hauling gravel from our yard. The boss was loading my truck and i was waiting the one load so i jumped in the loader and started myself. He finally came over chuckling saying if i was comfortable he could go do something else. Another time i hoped in a D6 dozer and pushed up piles. He always encouraged me and the day he passed away i was devastated.

I recommend buying a case of Sikaflex and caulking where the concrete meets wood. Also, get some medium expanding spray foam for the corners.
Bugs is your most dependable and hard working employee. He is also a perfectionist. You should be glad you have him! Count your blessings! Take it from this old Vietnam vet, employees like Bugs are few and far between...

Not everybody can be in a good mood all the time man but bugs always shows up early or on time and always works his hardest venting his frustration or not. If anyone should be let go I would say Tino, I like Tino but he acts like a teenager most of time. He always makes excuses and shows up late.

Ryan if you wanted that shed done fast you should've had Francisco and eric help bugs and shouldve picked up most of the material on day one! But no you only put bugs and maybe one other guy who most likely doesn't know much carpentry and you have only had bugs working on it a few hours at a time, from the last video you called it a early day and clearly seen bugs hadn't accomplished much! When you want something done you get everything you need and you put all or most of the employees to it, if you had done that the shed would've been done already. Im sure thats bugs frustration how he has only been there a few hours every time then suddenly he is being rushed to finish it. Wow and here I thought you and bugs had a good work relationship but truth comes out how much he frustrates you how you're sick of it and imo its hinting that you may get rid of bugs your right hand man!..the power of video editing is incredible. I'm sure if bugs gets fired your channel will lose many viewers. You need to remember yes its your channel your company but the guys are a huge reason why your channel is popular so dont ever forget that!!
A carpenter could build that entire shed himself in just a few hours. Bugs is slow and kind of knows what he's doing but not quite.

@@thebigapple4010 having a guy who is mainly a concrete guy do some else is kinda like a fish out of water. I work construction done nearly all but my cup of tea is painting. I could easily paint a whole house on my own fast with no help but put me to build you a room a wall set tile down I can do it but I'm not gonna guarantee I'll get it done fast like you expect me to.

i cant say it enough i absolutely love this channel and what you guys stand for. the land is looking great! my family and i are in the process of buying anoff grid land to homestead with chickens, goats, and eventually a few cattle but as you know its a learning process. weve seen 3 places so far and have yet to find our new home but i know in time we will. i pray all goes well for everyone although our plans arent always His plans. its in HIs time not ours. stay humble, be kind, help each other out to achieve victory together. I would of thought Ryan would of gave them a little more of a well done & credit at the end & no Bugs at teh end after the little tandrum when all was done...employee mood changes are at every job thats human nature I dealt with it for 40 years ....
4 days ain’t bad for that huge shed. Can’t expect 2 guys who don’t do this stuff every day to do that in 2 days. That’s pretty unrealistic. If Ryan wanted that done in a couple days he should have hired it out.
