Go for it, learn songs you like as a start. Then try to see patterns between the different songs you know and play them in different keys. Do you play acoustic or electric friend?
The toughest part is always the beginning because of the learning curve. It took me awhile to get barre chords down, but playing along some of my favorite songs helped me learn quickly. Persistence is key! Tabs are a great way to help you build your way up - you got this!
I just used a squier precision bass, Moog Sub 37, and a simple pitch/delay effect VST. The trick is just recording the Sub 37 for each note to make it sound like a poly synth!
I love the cover. The biggest thing that got me was the bass. I play bass, and I was considering switching to guitar because I thought bass didn’t have a lot of potential, but this cover showed me that a bass can have the spotlight too.
