What happened to the good old days when you just had a switch near the light controls with 0,1,2,3 to adjust the headlight height.

Hello ! Do you know how to show the driving modes in the screen . I dont have the 4 driving mode in my 2015 GTE
Just tried this on my 2015 GTI And passenger light is significantly lower than the driver light is there a way to reset it to try again or to do it manually
Interessant stukje. Metvname het gebruik van de OBD11 mijn auto is niet verlaagd maar als ik t zo zag kun je heel wat af- en instellingen met die OBD11 aanpassen en fooutcodes uitlezen. Ik zal hier ns wat verder naar zoeken. Als ik t goed begrijp heb je daar wel zo'n VW we-connect account voor nodig?

Bedankt voor deze uitleg. Maar ik heb toch nog een vraag. Ik vind dat mijn led koplampen te laag staan. Moet ik dan de koplamp mechanisch afstellen na 'Basisafstelling van de koplampen' in OBDEleven en voor 'Basisafstelling bevestigen'? Of moet ik eerst ook de 'Basisafstelling bevestigen' uitvoeren voor ik ga afstellen?
Dat laatste kan ik me eigenlijk niet voorstellen, maar uit de video maak ik dat wel op.
Je moet eerst basisafstelling selecteren, dan pas bevestigen en erna mechanisch afstellen.
Dan heb je 100% het nulpunt te pakken en opgeslagen.
Je mag ook doen: basisafstelling > afstellen > bevestigen, maar dan moet je alles doen zonder de auto uit te zetten.
Als je dat wel doet halverwege, loop je kans dat ie zijn basisafstelling ‘vergeet’ en gaat hij terug naar zijn oude nulpunt (erg irritant als je bezig bent met afstellen).
Hij slaat alleen het punt op als nieuw nulpunt, zodra je op bevestigen drukt.
@@ot2nie Bedankt voor deze supersnelle reactie. De VW-dealer heeft een paar weken geleden voor de APK mijn koplampen lager afgesteld (ze stonden ook echt te hoog toen ik de auto kocht), maar nu vind ik dat ze te laag staan. Op internet lees ik meerdere ervaringen van te laag afgestelde koplampen, dat zouden de VW-normen zijn. Maar wat gebeurt er dan nu als ik zonder OBDeleven aan te sluiten aan de mechanische afstelling zit (met contact en verlichting uit)?
@@erwinvh kan zijn dat het goed zit dan, maar als je mechanisch gaat afstellen zonder eerst de basisafstelling te selecteren, loop je kans dat je ze tot ‘hun eind’ moet draaien.
Als je dat doet, dan komt de afstelschroef los en moet je je koplamp openmaken om het te fixen (schijnt een enorme klus te zijn).
Daarom raad ik altijd iedereen aan het eerst via obd te doen na het verlagen vd auto (dan staat ie weer op zijn meest veilige punt, namelijk precies in het midden).
Het laatste restje kan je dan met de hand finetunen.
Hello, if i have adjusted the headlight by the knobs manually and need to reset them to their original high, obd eleven will do that? Thanks!
Well obd eleven can reset the adjustment motors back to their 0 position regardless of the sensor position on the control arm.
If you’ve adjusted the knobs, this obdeleven function will reset it either way, but you will keep the discrepancy you made with the knobs (since the computer doesn’t know the actual height, only the calculated height..)
What i’d honestly do is try to get the knobs back to how they were (as precisely as possible) and then do this function.
The knobs need to be done as the last step, so it’s lowering>reset 0 position>knobs (if necessary).

I do have to tell you that even thought the settings might be ‘off’, turning the knobs instead of resetting them the ‘cleaner’ way, it’s still good enough for most people.
@@ot2nie thanks a lot for the information!! Because i tried adjusting the right headlight by the knob but nothing really happened, i even adjusted it to the max(up) and nothing happened to the beam high, so trying to reset them by obd11 will be good right?

Be careful with ‘overturning’ the knobs.
I once saw a shopdap video where they warned people to not do it, because you can ultimately loosen it until it comes off the thread.

I think you should also re-set radar configuration, you know?
Don’t think so, since it doesn’t have height adjustment like the headlight.
But i could be wrong..

Just dropped mine with eubacteria springs and was asked if I wanted this doing for £160.00 - I tried the car without adjustment and the radar works fine - no issues to date
So I tried this and after I slide it automatically just says basic setting ended without doing anything
My headlight is making a slight buzzing noise only when the low beams and high beams are turned on, Doesnt do it with the DRLs though. Never noticed the sound before, anyway when i slid the basic setting it also ended right away too

Now I get a fault with check right daytime running light. How should I clear that? Lights are at a much better level afyer this adjustment but exclamation point light is on on dash now. Thanks!
What is the exact error?
If you’ve done these 2 steps correctly, the levelling should be good.
Have you ever done something with the screws?

@@ot2nie Ik vrees dat banden bij 100 en harder geen verschil gaat maken. 0-100 win je het sowieso niet, ookal heb je 100pk meer dan die rode 6R, of je moet semi slicks ofzo hebben.

@@ThenameisOskar jawel, maar je weet de uitkomst toch al?? Zolang ik nog wielspin met 100 heb, helpen die banden, dus pas erna een video, anders krijg je een vertekend beeld en zit men ook weer te zeiken😂
