    I've got two to assemble over the winter. One of the wings was damaged on arrival (no box damage). The forward part where the air inlet is cut out was smashed inward breaking the ribs. Horizion has it handled with new wing on the way! Just waiting on some servos and skycandy lights to continue the first build. Both are getting new jetcentral hornets.

    Great to see you doing a build serie on one of these. Last weekend I put 5 flights on mine and it now has 8 flights in total. Really like this jet and looking forward to the next video.

    One tip Jonathan, The first time you activate the retracts manually back them off the stop about a turn. So if the gear is up and the program box sends the up command the motor will turn a bit and can cause the threaded rod to come uncoupled. After the directions have been set on the program box you are good to go. Also not a bad idea to keep a spare motor on hand as they are the weak link in the retracts and if they are out of stock you will be waiting a bit. Other than than Hanger 9 is really great value for the money.

      Yes, lube the threaded rod and mechanics too to help smooth the system out.

    I really can't wait to see you build this A/C, I was actually thinking about getting one to do myself. So, if you do it with relative ease, I just might get one next year.

    Man I love your channel and great video. Been waiting to see you do one of these. I'm just getting into turbines. I actually won a PNP with a Swiwin 80 at my clubs jet rally last month! I'm about to start on it and hopefully get my waiver in the coming months. Again, love your channel! I've learned a lot from you and I thank you!

    Was thinking about ordering this one, but i don't trust myself doing hinges on the controls. Don't know anyone who would be up for doing them around me.

      I'll be covering the hinges so if you follow that it should be easy.

    TL;DR, tons of L39 and Hawks, all painted in proper real to life scheme. The first MB 339 ARF and it has a cheap looking cover pattern!😱🤯 👎🏻Really! You wanted it covered to lower cost? How about the Frecce Tricolori scheme? I did it myself on an old, now defunct nitro sport model and it ain’t difficult at all.
    If you don’t know, this model is actually manufactured in Vietnam by Phoenix models. I’m building their PC 21, with iron on Swiss AF acrobatic team scheme 👏🏼, the hardware and sudo-carbon fibre interior are the same. I understand that Aeronautica militare is not really popular with modellers, but the Frecce Tricolori surely are one of the best, and more recognised acrobatic teams in the world, I don’t really understand this marketing choice!

    • @thelightersideofrc
      @thelightersideofrc  10 месяцев назад +2

      Simple! i'm sure HH wanted to keep the cost down on this plane to present it to the Beginner, first time turbine market!

    Nose spring is way too soft for grass runways. Member had to abort his takeoff due to negative AOA, and it jumped into the air when he dropped the throttle. It'll be OK for tarmac, but grass cause the drag on the nose to depress it causing the negative AOA.
