You've been a total lifesaver when it comes to Creo!
I have a query: I want to simulate a complex assembly of aluminum profile using CREO. I have all the Moment of Inertia values for the specific profile. Is it feasible to create a basic hollow or solid tube with the outer dimensions matching the aluminum profile, but adjust the Moment of Inertia accordingly?

It’s been years since I’ve taught FEA and I never did much on the 2D side. I recommend reaching out to your reseller or an FEA subject matter expert.

now I understood that engineering is very important

When I started my career, I worked with this older engineer who was the classic pen-and-paper engineer. He did the engineering and I put it into CAD. He used to do all these moment of inertia, bending moment, and stress calculations by hand. CAD is important, but understanding the engineering and math behind it is even more critical.

    Hi Dave
I have an issue with MBD notes that seems to be related to my feature of analisys to calculate the CG (center of gravity) of the assembly I am working.
Inside this MBD I have some combo states with simplified reps, each time I regenerate the assembly in combinate state with a simplified rep, the CG moves like if only the parts of that simplified rep were part of the assembly, also some dimensions moves of their original place. do you know what could be happening?
    Thakns in advanced

Simplified Reps do change mass properties. That is intended behavior.

@@CADPLMGuy but what if I don't want that, I mean, How can I linked the feature of CG to only be affected by the Master Rep? Is that possible? because I want the CG keepd in its original place, and doesn´t be affected by the others simplified reps.

Then use the Master Rep in the Combination State. If you don't want to see certain components, use Layers to turn off their display and then apply a Layer State to the Combination State.
But excluding components via Simplified Reps by product specifications takes the mass of those components out of the model, so they do not affect mass properties or interference checks.

@@CADPLMGuy So, basically (correct me if I am wrong) I need to hide the components with layers and also apply the desired simplified rep to the same combo state, or I missunderstand something?

That's not what I said. Leave the Combination State in the Master Rep.

WTF? How did you open the 'Cross Section Properties'? NO HELP HERE!

Okay, I rolled way back and figured it out.
