Just finished the install… Man with a world of difference!
Took about two hours to complete the whole thing… The installation video is amazing, but I recommend also having the written instructions on hand as there are a couple of key segments missing… Mostly on how to access the fuse box area.
Also recommend that you start with a clean shop and water room around the vehicle because spreading out the top and trim pieces makes it a lot easier to put back together at the end.
Probably the best hundred bucks I’ve spent on my bronco yet!
Order my lights today ! Can't wait to get them. Thanks IAG ! YOU guys have great mods / products for us Bronco owners keep up the great job. : )
My brother got this for me for my birthday. Installed today. Instructions good. A couple tricky spots. Took a few hours, but I intentionally went slow. Boy, I didn't realize what I was missing.
Just installed. Took me a couple of hours working very slowly. Only part this tutorial left out was pulling down the panel under the steering wheel - took more force than i expected so i figured i was doing something wrong. But in the end it went together very well and functions great!
Easy install wow everyone needs these lights very pleased
Would love these if I could manage the install.
Installation was super easy until I got to figuring out which grey wire had a brown or purple stripe lol
Looks awesome , but scotch locks? I still might order them but no way am I tapping into a factory harness like that. I've seen them cause way too much corrosion issues
Will this work with soft top?
Not going to lie it seams like an easy instal tell I watched this hahaha
My harness did not come with a ring terminal. Anyone else experiences this?
Maybe I missed something , but I watched both videos , why is there a light kit for hard top vs soft top?
I’m still waiting (hoping/praying) I can get my hands on a hard top so if I install the soft top kit and then get a hard top, what are my options then?
We do have 2 different kits available for the soft top and hard top. The difference is included brackets for the hard top but otherwise the kits are universally the same. We do also sell the brackets separately if you do get your hard on one and need to purchase them later on!
Man... I really wanted to avoid using that scotch lock but there really isn't a way around it. It's the first and hopefully the last one I'll ever use... lights are fantastic, my wife loves them.
So can you have them come on with either the doors opening AND an aux switch? Essentially hooked to both power sources?
Yes
Can u just wire up the aux without tapping the other?
@@ronaldmeadows5113 yes. Just connect one to aux and tape up the other one.
Are there instructions on how to hook up to the Aux switch?
Cuz I’m an idiot on such things.
Did you ever find any?? Also looking
Where the step to remove the panel under the steering wheel that gives you access to the fuse box?
OK, I saw in another video that this full panel under the steering wheel simply pulls down. You pry one side loose on the top of the panel then use two hands to pull the whole panel down from the top. It’s attached on the bottom so it swings down
for step #28, the wire to tap looks blue and brown line goes thru it. are you sure it is pure gray?
Did you find out which is the correct wire.
@@damustangkid it is actually brown line on purple wire.
@@aniljavali grey with purple stripe worked for me. Support was very helpful over email (weekday responses only). Seems I was trying grey with brown stripe incorrectly.
my colors work
Light blue/grey with purple stripe for me 23 badlands
Anybody know what fuse to need to tap into? I hate t-taps
You would wire tap into the purple and gray wire underneath the dash
Omg 😱 can I just pay IAG to install this for me ?
We no longer do installation here in house but there is no time like the present to learn and have some self-accomplishment!
Haha yeah nahhhhh, I’ll just maybe get the battery powered one I seen one time. Maybe cheaper way to go and annoying to use batteries but fuck this. Maybe someday I’ll do it but I thought it was much more straight forward.
Lost me at the end part having to open up the door area and cut the tape, all that wiring bullshit. Man Ford is a fuckin joke for cheaping out on Dome lights, my 01 Mustang had dome lights. My focus had dome lights but because the top comes off Ford couldn’t figure out a way to integrate this at factory? Fuckin pathetic. Whatever it’s not super necessary for me right now anyway. I appreciate IAG making it though and maybe someday I’ll do it. Doesn’t look too hard but I know from experience these things are always 50% tougher than they look and I’m not wanting to pull apart all my shit for some extra lighting this bad.
