I just watch on Discovery channel, seahore structure launch succesfully and now docking in artificial island in Dubai. Some minor re ballasting solve launching problem as you seen on this video.
The design is inherently unstable. It will never be stable, its stable position is on its side and it will ultimately end up there. Like the commenter below said. This thing is a submarine and needs to be designed as such.
I just paused surfing channels past this documentary. I hear Project Manager, 30 years exp. Blahblahblhblahblahblh, 8 trades, including ship building, blahblahblah. What a bunch of idiots. This is a submarine, with a deck above the surface. These idiots view it as a house on water, with underwater aspects. Completely backwards. Then this launch? With catastrophic stresses? Build it below the surface, then fill it to lift it, then float out of the drydock. Slow pressure, complete control, ease pressures on to the structure slowly.
