I still remember when this was Called Midnight Sons. The controversy was stupid, but the name change was perhaps for the better.

Been playing this game non stop since Christmas. Wolverine is the best overall character imo so self sufficient throw him with hulk and Ironman omg the maps enemies just vanish
This could have been another alliance game that could have been over the top with control switching, couch Coop, and a good online play mode.
Missing from this game is Damian Hellstrom aka The Son of Satan! Also, the Isaac Christians' Gargoyle character from The Defenders, the Scarlet Witch, Belasco and Hellcow from the early Howard The Duck comics in the >>GASP!!!
I was happy to hear it was releasing a day before my bday and Blade, Wolverine, Magik, and ghost rider were my favorite in the game
This game is near perfect 9/10, just wish they had more characters

@@cassiebarber4669 That was the reason I was holding out hope that there were going to be more updates, but after the Storm DLC there was nothing. The game is unfortunately dead.

The original Midnight Sons iin 90s are Ghost Rider, Blaze, Vengeance, Blade. Drake, King, Morbius, Strange, Modred, Jinx These monsters fought the darkness iin their backyard , thr avengers and x men would not even come close to scratch a being like Zarathos, Mephiso, Lilith, Centurous, The Fallen, Dormammu, Blackheart

I'd swap out Cap And Iron Man for Elsa Bloodstone and Brother Voodoo

This gane is nothing like xcoms allot of xcoms fans will be turned off by the first 5 hours but it is a good game

I surprisingly enjoyed it, the card mechanic was the reason I didnt get the game on release. But after getting it on Epic games, it actually added another line of tactics to each matches. Plus the effects that came when using hero cards was super cool. (I'll never get tired of Ghost Rider summoning his car)

No,the main character is the son of Lilith,and you can customize The Hunter as you want.
The hunter is a custom character (that is also why they are just called "hunter" since both female and male hunters are available)

Most likely. If you don’t like XCOM you won’t like this
That was too much of a blanket statement. There are reasons you might dislike this if you liked XCOM, and there are reasons you might like this is if you disliked XCOM.
Combat is different: for the vast majority of actions there is no a hit chance, gameplay revolves around building and utilizing small card decks. If you like strategy, but don't like whiffing actions, this might be up your alley.
There's also a relationship building dynamic, but your mileage may vary. It can be interesting, and leads to new cards, but the dialogue can be corny and the choices are fairly predictable if you understand what color (there's a dark/light/neutral option set) usually works best for whoever you're taking to.
The dark/light system does interface with Hunter's ability progression, but you're not railroaded into a particular build just because you lean towards one or the other.
