  • On April 13, 2023, Roy Wulf was pleased to join up with the Old Line Fife & Drum Corps to perform at Thomas Jefferson's Monticello for Founder's Day (Thomas Jefferson's 280th Birthday!). It was quite a fun experience! This video was published with the kind permission of Thomas Jefferson's Monticello.

Great job on taps and I loved the fifes and drums. They remind me of the field music of my old reenactment unit, the 26th North Carolina Infantry. Great job also on the harpsicord too!

I'm glad that you were involved in Civil War reenacting too! That harpsichord is perhaps my favorite thing in our house. I play it almost every day.

Damn, how'd you manage to get a harpsichord!

That was by miraculous good fortune. The school I used to attend is run by the Benedictine Sisters of Virginia who recently built a new monastery. They held a big sale of items from the old monastery, and I was amazed to see that this harpsichord was among the things being sold. Because they know me well, they sold it to my family at a very modest price. I promised to play it for them after getting it repaired, which I did! The harpsichord was fixed by Mark Adler of Cembaloworks in Gaithersburg, MD. My harpsichord is small enough to haul around in the back of our minivan, so I have even played it out at Mount Vernon!
