      I don’t know that auto manufacturers do this for rural mail carriers. I do know there are various folks who independently customize vehicles like this for rural mail carriers. The fluidity of the actors using ASL is impressive, considering most of them probably had never used it before this. That sign that Henry makes for Fisk is a very quick spelling of "Fisk," with only the F and the K really being, um, enunciated. As with spoken language, ASL users also find ways to create shorthand.

      @chrisd7047 10 месяцев назад

      @@powerpanda557 That would make sense. It's an easy switch from K to P. ASL uses context to convey meaning A LOT, like even more than spoken language does. That's why you see a lot of ASL users mouthing the words, too.

In regards to sign names, “Fisk” sign looks to be more of an abbreviated finger spelling while the previous Kingpin sign (k hand shape down to letter p sign) seems like his actual sign name that Maya would give him (sign names are only given out by other Deaf people). I love that there’s even a difference in sign names for Maya and Echo.

I've been a musician for 30 years now and within the first 5 seconds of it starting, my ears perked up and I actually wept. It's a beautiful song. First of all this was the first show with a woman I can recall where her value wasn't in a romantic relationship or with a kid but rather her power and value came from herself and her people. Marvel does a garbage job overall of writing women characters which was kind of highlighted at the end of She Hulk. Second to me is the depth of the supporting cast characters. There are no pure souls or short dimensions. I know there were some other channels whining it wasn't dark enough or close enough to the comics but TBH all I saw them cheering for was Charlie Cox and the action sequences. This isn't Matt Murdock's story, this is Maya's.

      One of the writers is Shoshannah Stern (Jericho, Weeds). When she made her show "This Close"...I think I remember talking about how precise they were in setting up camera angles to capture full expression. You need to work with directors who can resist the pull of something like a low-angle cowboy shot during dialogue because you can end up losing the ability to decipher.

      No, its a reference to well...Marvel Spotlight comics.
      Marvel Spotlight is a comic book anthology series published by Marvel Comics as a try-out book. It stood out from Marvel's other try-out books in that most of the featured characters made their first appearance in the series.
      Werewolf By Night had the Marvel Spotlight logo before the show as well, which makes sense because Werewolf by Night was one such story in the Marvel Spotlight comic anthology.
