I bought one with the backhoe attachment, I have just about 300 hrs on it and moved hundreds of tons of rock, from 3/4" landscape rock and 4-8" rip rap to 1000 lb boulders. I've saved over $150,000 so far doing my own hardscape for my new home build.

Similar situation -- we bought 60 acres in SW VA, but had been maintained a bit more. Still plenty to do, including lots of gravel drive/road maintenance. I'm waiting to pick up my new 2038R next month -- my understanding is the frame size on the 2038R is the same as the 3-series.

I briefly saw the 2- series. I believe you're correct.

I borrowed one and during snow plowing the left back fender cracked when I used the handle to get up it's absolutely terrible that jd uses plastic parts all over and its super expensive to replace asvel so I'm thinking about getting a kubota with is made of metal

I've been fortunate that I haven't broken the "Composite" as they call it. We used it 2 weeks straight hours on end during the clean up after the tornadoes that hit our area here in TN. I was really impressed with how well this machine did at moving material, trees, block, etc that likely exceeded its lifting and pushing capacity.
I think Kubota makes a solid product, and you'll be happy with your purchase.

over the years you will be glad for the composite plastic on it go look at metal on tractors with age the rust and the dents LOL trust me

I absolutely agree with this aging comment. I'm sure you're right. I wish it were a bit more durable to branches.
