- Talk about yabbies galore! The yabbying in Broken and Boosey Creek has been off tap lately, and there are plenty of fish biting too, although they do seem to be only carp. Even still, they're a LOT of fun to catch as you can see in this video.

Go Robbie go. The State of Texas supports you and your daughter. Rock on man! 😎
Thank you so much Andy. 🤟🤟
Great too see dad and daughter fishing together
Carp central and love those yabbies such good quantity and quality
Thanks so much Peter. I love fishing with Holly so much. Haha we always have a lot of laughs. 🙏
That was awesome! Thought the yabbies would have started slowing down by now! Nice! 😁🎣🦞
Thanks mate. This was a fortnight ago. I reckon they will have slowed down now though.
@@robbiefishingoh ok, spewin. Might give it one more crack at Bowhill next weekend 🙂 I've never fished there either, expecting small carp. Anything else.... bonus! 😂
Told you I’m watching new and old Robbie fishing 🎣 your always so jovial and information packed 🤗
Thank you so much Sharon. I try to be as upbeat as I can, as often as I can. Having ADHD helps
LOL
Robbie you are nothing short of a legend. Luv ya work bro 👍💯✌️
Thank you so much for your kind words mate.
You rock Hollie and I love the video. You and your dad look like your having a ball fishing. Keep out scoring the old man sister.✌️
Haha thanks Russell. She's doing an amazing job mate.
Thanks Holly and Robbie, nice work all round. 😊 love the pipes.
Thanks so much Deb.
Milly is getting ready for work when she started to watch this vid with me. We watched Holly land that carp then Milly said gosh Holly is good at fishing she knows exactly what she is doing 🤗
Haha she sure is good at it. She hasn't been for a while. Hopefully I can get her out on the weekend somewhere.
@@robbiefishing yes well tell that gorgeous Girl that she has many supporters. Just because she is growing up she must continue hanging out with Dad 💕
I think mirror carp have unique beautiful scales -they all unique and have nice pearl/shell fish colour.
They certainly are an interesting looking fish..
I adore the relationship you have with hollie! ❤ ‘bro’ 😂😂😂
Haha thanks bro. We certainly do have a lot of fun..
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing mate, your Drone footage gets better and better I loved watching it thanks !
Hi Robert, thanks so much mate.
Awesome as always mate.. watching you and holly is truly inspiring bro..
Thanks bro. Haha We always have a lot of laughs. I don't think Holly has taken her necklace off once. LOL
@@robbiefishing I'm glad they have a good friendship going on.. it's cool bro 😂
Helloooooo rob
I hope your in good form mate , the fishing was wild and your freezer must look healthy with all the yabby you have caught recently...rob lovely work .. warm regards to yourself, Loretta, Skye, holly and all the gang...
On another cold and rainy day ....
Take it easy mate
😎🏴🎣
Thanks so much Michael. None have made it to the freezer mate. I've eaten them all fresh. Haha
All well here thanks mate, I hope that you are well too. Warmer weather isn't too far away for you.
Robbie's on the board! Boom! 😎
Why am I watching at 5am, while it's July cold and my Mrs. is happily sleeping.
Haha I do the same thing at times mate.
Love the drone footage and the accompanying music.
Thanks so much Greg.
Good day Robbie, just been catching up on some of your past videos, couldn't think of a better way of spending an hour or so, ha ha .cheers buddy, take care and stay safe. 👍
Hi mate thank you so much for your kind words.
Loved the Ariel view that was fantastic. Especially with the music you chose I immediately thought 💭 of Mahatma Ghandi 🤣 bloody excellent Bro 😎
Haha thanks Sharon. I was looking for a real desert type sound. LOL
Nice, caught my first shark yesterday so I'm enjoying watching your success now.
Thanks mate. A shark, WOW. That's something that I've never done.
Good one, Robbie. Great video as usual, mate.
Hey Wayne thanks so much mate.
Can't help but feel this channel is turning into "holy fishing" rather than robbiefishing
Haha 🤣 Only on weekends, not week days. LOL She has school then.
Good little session Robbie and Holly
Thanks so much mate.
Good job Robbie and Holly 👍👍👍🪝🐟🦞🦞
Thanks so much mate.
Yabbies on corn 🌽 glad your got the Go Pro Bro 😎
Another awesome episode Rob 🇦🇺 best show
Thank you so much Martin.
Love the music Robbie 👍
Thanks so much mate.
Love the drone I thought U was looking for camels with that music u and holy are doing a great job . Iv just got back from Portland been down their for a week fishing 9 pinky,1 baracoota went to portfairy lot of small flathead no keepers . But had fun lurnt heaps down their and brought more fishing gear😂
Thanks James. Camels.. haha 🤣
I have fished both Portland and Port Fairy. I love those places. Haven't been there for over 20 years.
I'm not surprised the yabbies like the corn, they like veggies. I used to feed the pet yabby slices of carrot.
Great observation Hank. I never thought if that. When I was a kid my pop use to feed his carrots and tomatoes.
Well done Robbie and Holly, you are a two person Carp Culling Operation in action. The laws of fishing obviously vary from state to state, but the laws of bad singing are the same the World over! Just something for you to ponder my Yabbie Master friend. 😮😂
Hahahaha Yabby guru, is it you? T-Rex classic. LOL 🤣
Wow it’s looking dry from the drone! Winters on its way I’m
Sure will be green before we know it!looks like fun well done 👍🏻
Thanks so much Blaine. I filmed this last week, and about 2 later later it rained. Haha Hopefully the green grass starts to shoot soon. And, we have more rain on the way too apparently.
@@robbiefishing so true it’s raining now as I wrote this up the rd 800km away from u 😂
THE POWER OF ONE LITTLE PLANT IS UNREAL.
Haha the reel in the corn can, funny.
Haha were still not sure how she managed to do that. LOL
You can use carp as bait in NSW. However, its use is highly regulated. You can only use dead carp when fishing in freshwater bodies. These rules are put in place to protect the environment and fish populations in the region.
Thanks mate I was actually looking for info about that
Teaching the daughter all the necessary skills in life. Good work Bro!!!
Thanks bro. And she is teaching me how to call everyone bro. 🤣🤣🤣
Hi Kelly, thanks for the support. When you make RUclips videos for a full time video, every view counts so thank you so much. 🙏
@robbiefishing oh Robbie it is good to hear from you! What a lovely daughter ❤️ you have!
@@robbiefishing MY mother's name is Holly!
@robbiefishing im telling alot of people in my town. We really don't know the food value of the Yabbies!
luv the desert music robbie
Thanks Mel. I chose it because it is so dry over there.
oh...you answered my question right at the end..
great video and fish mate! well done keep up the great work
Hey Lachie thanks so much mate.
In west Australia we get lots of yabbies and marron but black bream are gold smoked they are awsome
Hello Robbie! Been watching ur channel non stop for three days!! Not sure if it has been said or not yet but yabbies are vegetarian, keen to see more vids coming!! I live in melton got a small reddie and silver perch yesterday evening in the reservoir on janjuc worms👌
Hi mate, well done on the reddie and Silver. 👍 I have heard and read that about yabbies, but to be honest I am not sold on it.
@@robbiefishing oh ok I had a pet blue claw when I was 16-17 kept it for a few months and only fed it carrot, also the best “bait” I have used is lambs fry👌
Hey robbie, I just double checked NSW regs as we use dead carp for cray bait in the Murray. They do allow dead carp as bait in NSW but not other non natives.
Awesome, thanks for the heads up.
Nice video and session 👍
Thanks so much Biffo.
UnREAL!
Haha
Awesome trip 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Cam, it sure was a ripper.
Bro...😂,,, Love it!
Haha thanks bro.
Looks like you had a good session!
Thanks mate, we had a lot of fun.
@@robbiefishing Looks like !
Love Holly what a Goth Girl and a Daddy’s Girl 💕
Haha she sure is. The apple didn't fall far from the tree. LOL 🤣
Great vid. Maybe try using a float if you want your bait above the yabbies mate
Thanks mate. I wanted too but the current was too strong..
when I was a kid we would dangle a bait by rocks to catch crawfish. It's amazing how they refuse to let go of any food.
Haha they're so cool aren't they.
Wish you were my dad lol mine was useless glad he stayed in the uk 😂
LOL That's a very kind compliment and a sad story all on one. ♥️
we got a pet yabby for the "kids" he loves carrot corn worms peas broccoli and the occasional bit of steak, much to my partners dismay I named him trout bait
Hahahaha 😂😂🤣🤣
We have 2x big opera nets we need to rebuild into legal. Maybe use the mesh on some new drop frames of fencelimg wire? Cheers bro (Holly).
Sounds like a lot of work mate, especially when drop nets are only $10 each or less, sometimes as low as $5.
@@robbiefishing yeah, probably right. Thanks.
I tried fishing for Redclaw in the Nambiodia river at Emerald using meat and canned catfood with limited success. A local told me to use Sunlight soap in the net and when I did the net was full. I kid you not. Try using a bar of pure soap in one of your nets.
That's excellent. I tried it here on out yabbies once and caught nothing. All I got was very clean nets. LOL
I'm really puzzle what happened to the famous white bucket haha. Lovely Day out fishing with the BRO. That drone footage is just Pure amazing may I ask what brand you got I'm looking at getting one. Murchison is still going great with the yellow belly's on the shrimp
Thanks mate. That's awesome, I drove through Murch yesterday.
I really like this blue bucket. LOL
My drone is a DJI Mini S.E. I think, or something similar.
@@robbiefishing I was there yesterday fishing just over the bridge one the left hand side going out of Murchison there a little track
@@chriscoyne4827 Awesome, we drove through on our way home from the basin after dark..
@@robbiefishing how did you go at the Basin I haven't been there for a week now
Nice Robbie can't believe how many carp were I there . And how holly caught a yabbie on corn
Thanks mate. Haha A Yabby on corn, that's the first time I have ever seen that too. LOL
@@robbiefishing I have heaps of spots that u catch big yabbies in the collapsible traps your video r always entertaining
Nice video Robbie 👍.Very nice yabbying session, nice catches from you and Holly other than them being carp. Did you catch cod or yellowbelly before the floods?
Thanks Jesse. I use to catch yellowbelly here frequently before the floods and haven't caught one since. Fisheries will have it full of yellas again soon I'm sure.
@@robbiefishing that’s good to hear then thanks!
Robbie I will see u at wetlands on Saturday the 15
Hi mate that is so cool, I can't wait to see you then.
I’m going down to the Murray for 2 weeks that will be fun gonna be fishing a lot 😀
What part of the Murray you going
That's awesome Jack. I hope you have a blast buddy.
@@chriscoyne4827 echuca
@@tinyjack8302 plenty of carp getting caught by the hundreds unfortunately I gave up over there so I head to a spot 15 minutes from where I live and it's going nuts for yellas and cod
G'day Robbie great video as always mate! With your carp what size hooks are you running if you don't mind me asking.
Thanks so much Luke. I think they're either size 4 or size 6. I never really use big hooks for anything other than cod.
@@robbiefishing yeah that's what we've been having most luck on just wanted to make sure haha could ask Google but rather hear it from the man himself haha. Thanks heaps mate really appreciate you and your content.
Im only 12 mins in, but after last session when you caught heaps using whole carp as bait, cant believe you havent added the ones you caught so far to the yabby traps
Hey mate, the fish off cuts that I was using were working so I didn't worry about changing it. If It wasn't working I definitely would have started using carp.
yeahhhh robbie!!!!!!
We're did you get that bucket?
Hi mate, I bought it at Adventure Camping and Fishing.
Hi Robbie, Hi Hollie, good to see father and daughter having fun fishing. One question Robbie do you use carp as yabbie bait.
Watch his last video same spot he was using carp then and done a excellent job
Thanks Neil. Yep, as Chris said, check out my video called "mind blowing yabbying" and you will see me catching heaps of yabbies on carp.
Thank you Robbie thank you Chris l will
Good vlog bro's
Thanks bro.
could you simply use the carp for bait? Or is there a reason this wouldn't work?
You sure can mate, and I did in my last video here. I took redfin off cuts with me though just in case I didn't catch any carp.
Love the content and u should to try catch catfish
Thanks mate. I love catching catties.
Robbie what ever u do do not ; do not give up ur day job LOL Love ur video but
Hahahaha thanks mate. I'm thinking about auditioning for Australian Idol. 😂
yabbies love veg so do red claws they love peas
Go holly
hi robbie can we go fishing in benalla i cort a 46 cm murrey cod and i wont to see if you wont to go
HARRY
Hi Harry, well done mate. I can't make any commitments at the moment sorry mate. Keep on fishing buddy.
I caught my first yellow belly and my first silver perch on the same day, not related to vid just wanted to tell you
That's awesome mate. Well done.
Hey Robbie/Holly, do you ever use yabbies as bait for yellowbelly?
Hi Nathan, I sure do mate. Usually when I'm fishing from a boat.
where have all the trees gone ?.
Hi mate, they would have been cleared many years ago to make way for agricultural land.
Carpio
I think I will make a Video of yabbies eating my hand...they don't hurt so much unless they r giants robbie
How did bro get the can on the reel bro
Hahaha I'm not sure bro. It cracked me up though. She didn't even realise she had done it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
hew robbie i love ur vids
Thanks so much Charlie.
Man i wish i could fish but its going to be raining for basically half of the week
WOW. We have a little bit forecast here but not a huge amount.
my god there is some carp in there needs to be elctro fisheres
There sure are mate. They're in plague proportions.
What is black water
It's a term given to hypoxic water. Water that has low amounts of dissolved oxygen leading to fish kills.
Thank you for your reply. I learnt something new
Why is the place called Broken Creek?
Hi mate, I honestly have no idea sorry.
@@robbiefishing Wow, that was quick. Thanks for taking the time to answer.
As the name suggests it doesn't flow like a true river it's broken up in sections
its sad that native fish is so sensitive and dont survive well unlike some temperate climate fish which was introduced. You would think it would be the other way around especially with droughts and floods.
I think it would be the other way around if we didn't modify our waterways so much and the flooding was more natural.
We have to take the good with the bad though. If we didn't modify the waterways this creek would dry up every year.
Hope your not throughing the carp back i
Only after I kill them first.
Surely Holly is a Broette and not a Bro?
Haha 🤣 She's just a cool kid.
@@robbiefishing She's a ripper. Good on her for being a part of your videos and showing you up at times!
She looks dry out that way
Sure is Butch, well WAS. There's been a bit of rain since I filmed this.
That's a nice creek you got there, whatever you do PLEASE DON'T TRY TO INTRODUCE ANY KIND OF TILAPIA over there!!!
Thanks mate. There's a few in Melbourne, but I think that most are further north.
I read that they will survive in cold water, as we have down here, but they won't thrive in it like they do in warmer waters up in QLD.
nsw can not use use carp or throw back
That's not correct. In NSW, you can't use live carp for bait or return them to the water, but you can use dead carp for bait.
I actually think that you are allowed to release live carp in NSW, but it is preferred if you don't. Same as redfin.
You can return carp in NSW and the A.C.T
@robbiefishing yeah on second look, that's correct Robbie. DPI prefer you don't release.
@@callmehank88 Use live fin fish in inland waters including live Carp or other pest species.
Use non-native fish or parts thereof whether alive or dead, other than dead Carp.
This sux..Central nsw bugger all places 2go
Plenty of places up there mate, you just may need to travel around a bit. Heaps of lakes, rivers, dams and creeks.
Stocking fish can kill off all native fish
It can also replace native fish killed off by hypoxic water and harvested by anglers like me.
@@robbiefishingtons of whales and dolphins been washing up on beaches in the US
Can you please put the coloured & mirror carp back alive?
Hi mate, I'm not allowed sorry.
My ex always had worms so fishing was easy. Just sayin'
Hahahaha
I agree Mirror carp are truely ugly looking fish
Haha you're not wrong mate.
Each to their own though the amount of times the word bro is said when talking to your daughter is very annoying . Puts me off otherwise good content. No disrespect intended.
Thanks Ian. Kids will be kids. When I was a kid everything was "Rad". Haha
