If you truly want to experience Pink Floyd, close the door, lie down on your bed, turn off the lights, put on a set of headphones and listen to the entire double album from start to end. Trust me..you'll be glad you did.
Enjoyed, subbed...don't fear this music, Pink Floyd is always ultimately about hope, the nostalgic vibe can bring up buried feelings, here is where you can process and release them.
Comfortably Numb is a song best listened to when depressed. I find that it allows me to cry, and that gets some of the poison of sadness out of my system. It's highly therapeutic if used right.
You really do need to use either headphones or ear buds, it will help you hear what you are missing, both in music and lyrics. Glad you got to Pink Floyd, this will be a whole new and exciting genre of music for you. ✌️😎
The guy who introduced Pink Floyd to me over 20 years ago, a friend of my dad, explained just how amazing a guitar player David Gilmore is. He explained that David doesn’t play the guitar, he breathes life into it, and his solos are the guitar speaking to your soul, that’s why his solos never sound strained or rushed or off pitch. In my humble opinion this type of guitar playing cannot be taught, it is god given.
Great reaction, NI - Another angel gets their Pink Floyd wings! Probably the most amazing song by the most amazing band ever. There's more where that came from (although most is meant to listen to full album from start to finish).
Lady, you just took the strongest drug known to mankind. Pink Floyd. It makes you feel. Profoundly moving. Now you need to know more about them and experience all their albums. Welcome to the human condition. This will always be with you now.
Pink Floyd is an experience! 50 years I have been listening to this band and I still get smiles, goosebumps and tears every day. They hit me deep in my soul!
The entire "Dark Side of the Moon" album is an experience, they take you on a journey. And yes I agree, you really need headphones to really hear every part of the song. The music and instruments move from one side to another in your ears. I fell in love with this album when it came out in the 70's. It was a different time back then, we had such a variety of music to listen to.
David Gilmour is the one guitarist who can evoke every human emotion with just a few chords from his guitar; he takes your soul on journeys you never thought possible.
I played it at my dad's funeral for his last song whilst everyone left. He loved em a lot and it felt so fitting. It really was the perfect song to end on. The rest of the funeral was black sabbath and a few death metal tracks haha. Me and him loved the same stuff, and whilst I wasn't the biggest fan of Pink Floyd, it was his night, and it was the only song acceptable to end it.
An a emotional trip welcome to pink floyds world i was 14 when the wall was release and still today pink floyd are my favorite band and this song are one of their best
few song of Pink Floyd --> Hey you .. Coming back to life ( live to Pulse 1994 ) ... On the turning away ... Shine on you crazy diamond ... High Hopes ( pulse 1994 ) 😎👍🎶🎸
Listen to the live version , Pulse 1994. You``ll get blown away. This version is from 1973. But you should also remember that every Pink Floyd Album is a story from track one till last
Music asks you to be honest. You never needs to "accept the message." But someone very emotional and articulate drove their life off a cliff to detail to the rest of us what is there. The best and brightest among us sometimes tell tales we all relate to. And in those few cases, it's so worth being alive today. Thank you for uploading your experience. I honestly hope you are true in your reaction. And I hope you are happy today, my friend if you will have me.
Been a Pink Floyd fan since the late 60s. You should do their biggest album next, the one that made them into a superstar band, "Dark Side of the Moon". But it's a concept album meaning it's best listened to, (and reacted to) from beginning to end because one song will blend into the next one, and so on. I recommend do it two parts at least, Side A of the original 1973 album in order is: Speak To Me, Breathe In The Air, On The Run, Time, and The Great Gig In The Sky. After you catch your breath and recover from that one, do a Part 2 video of Side B starting with Money, Us And Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage and ending with Eclipse. Pause between or during the songs to make comments so as to avoid the copyright hassle, besides I suspect you'll be pausing here and there to think about what you just heard or cry a little in any case, LOL! If Comfortably Numb gets to you emotionally this way, you'll really like Dark Side of the Moon!
@@nneamakailechetv49. Well, thank you for doing reactions! It's fun to watch young people get into the music I grew up with. Many will suggest you do Pink Floyd's "Time" or "Great Gig in the Sky" next, but that's like starting a movie in the middle of it rather than the beginning. In any case Nneamaka, enjoy your trip through the land of progressive rock and pop!
I think I can speak for every Floyd fan and say your reaction was the same as all of ours it's ok to cry we all can relate to this in some form or another so let it out girl 👍
And soon fans began creating their own visual interpretations: Because the band members (Waters, Wright, David Gilmour, and Nick Mason) remained reclusive even as the album was turning into a massive best seller, The Dark Side of the Moon cover came to symbolize Pink Floyd.
Welcome to Pink Floyd For a peek into the abyss ideally I would say do the album The Dark Side of the Moon in 2 hits (side 1 & side 2) because each track transitions into the next and themes follow each other. If that's too much, at least do a double track "Time" immediately followed by "The Great Gig in the Sky" Trust me, this will touch your very soul! Also worth have lyrics to hand but definitely definitely definitely Headphones 🎧 or buds! There's so much detail you will miss without headphones 🤔
Unless your sound system is a McIntosh amplifier and preamplifier, with Klipsh LaScalla speakers. Then you will be in business. LOL But I feel sorry for your neighbors if they don't like that kind of music.
Pink Floyds' music has a way of taking the listener on a emotional journey, their music speaks to the soul. I keep hearing these kinds of things from people hearing Pink Floyd for the first time, they are truly an incredible band! They've sold over 300 million albums worldwide, and their music has touched millions of peoples souls for years,... 51 years to be exact. Pink Floyd was formed in 1965 in London. If you'd like to hear more of Pink Floyds music, there are thousand of videos out there to enjoy. Also, there are some wonderful live performance videos of them when the were young and, when they got older. The 1994 Pulse Concert is a phenomenal example of the kind of Live Show Pink Floyd has been putting on since 1965! Check out any song from that concert and you cannot go wrong!
...and at the 3 minute mark...you were gone...no longer here but there. Transported. Pink Floyd will transport you to another place and time like no other band can.
Don't really care if anyone disagrees with me but Gilmour is the greatest of all time!!!!! There are faster, more technical players around but no one gives you chills like this man!!!! He's well into his 70s so appreciate him while you can👍
