Hi! Thanks so much. The whole project I spent 20 days work on but there were more shots not included in this breakdown. SynthEyes is by far the most powerful tracking software I've used but probably the least intuitive. Most shots you could get away with using Mocha or built in AE tracker. There were one or two complex tracking shots on this project so I used SynthEyes for all of the shots for a consistent workflow. SynthEyes also allows super easy export to blender. And for the simple shots an auto track is all you need so it doesn't have to be complex. Thanks for the great question!

I'd never heard of SynthEyes before, so it's nice to hear it has a good workflow with Blender! Might look further into that if I ever have complex projects hahah. Thanks for the great answer!
I never learned 3D, but I want to learn and specialize in VFX. Most people talk about Blender but you work with Houdini so please give me some advice to start, and choose which software for 3D VFX😢❤

You could do this in unreal too for sure. I'm not sure about how the camera projection workflow would change. I built the environment. But the murals on the wall are assets created by Massive Assembly for the Hall of Legends branding.

Why do you need projection when you already have a camera track?
Only so we could change the camera animation in post. If you were happy with the original camera movement, correct, you wouldn't need projection
