Been hauling super B for the last 9 years. The fact that you can even speak let alone give directions to the viewer while backing is impressive. Nice work my guy.
I see Matt never retiring and the driving academy paying a percentage of commission if students have watched his videos in the past. A mandatory 8 hour CallTheMall introduction to trucking 😂. The guys too good!
Great work explaining whats going on, I find backing up stressful but necessary. Also find backing up heavy IE loaded is much more difficult depending upon your weight and road conditions thanks for sharing love the channel !
Love the videos Nice to see you know how to float a gear. Practice makes perfect. B-train is a art, although A-train(hay wagon) you have to be a artist. Remember as a boy on the farm and my grandfather teaching me on a old Massey. Keep it up lad.
Love the sound of your truck. Brings back a lot of memories of my twin sons who also drove Petes with trains hauling steel. They wrre very young like you. Your truck looks like one of my boys truck. I had a killdeer nest in driveway and asked them to please watch out for the nest when they came home and back in. Lol. And they did and never ran over it!! Narrow driveway too. Birds survived . You truckers are amazing❤
Hi I'm from Australia and back up 26mtr and 30mtr trailers. The back wheels on the B trailer the tri are self steering and the back wheels of middle tri are self steer as well as the two turn tables, it's not that hard but some really make a mess of it and don't seem to learn from their mistakes, love your videos though 👍
This channel makes me want to try B trains just to see if I could do it. I retired last year after 42 years driving tractor trailers. I've never hauled trains, but I think if I had a rig and a big open yard to myself for a couple of months I could get the hang of backing them.
More space for cargo and higher weight capacity because more axles. A 32 foot lead and a 28 foot pup, 5 axles. The point of articulation means that a b-train will make a tighter turn than a 53 foot trailer.
I'm pretty good with b-trains on American Truck Simulator, I'd love to try it in real life. I'd only become a trucker if I could do b-trains. Straight trailers are no challenge after a while.
That's a long ways to back in if it wasn't a kilometer it must have been damn close to it. Ya its all about practice, you've been doing it long enough its second nature for you now.
so if you want the rear of the B to go left, and your hand is at the bottom of the steering wheel, do you move the bottom of the steering wheel to the right? In just steering an A trailer, and your hands at the bottom of steering wheel you would move your hand (on the bottom of the steering wheel) in the direction you wanted the rear of the trailer to go? Correct?
I had a stroke trying read what you wrote. If he turns his steering wheel to the right, that will make the pup (last trailer) go right, if he turns the wheel left the pup will go left.
@@RustyTunaCan sorry for your stroke. glad you were at least left with humor and the ability to comment. your reply confirms what i said. if his hand is at the bottom of the wheel and he wants the pup to go left he moves his hand to the right and vice versa.
It took a few hours to figure out how to back it up and make the angles do …something… then a few months backing in every day to get comfortable with it. Over 5 years later, here we are!

hes too powerful and must be stopped. I see Matt retiring one day and being an an instructor for fun

If he keeps going they’re gonna expect all of us to be this good.
If you can reverse that B-Train, then you can reverse everything.
Thats some skills!
Thoroughly impressed!
I backed up a set of B trains once....it was kinda dark and am glad not too many people where around to witness it
You are truly a master in backing a set of B-trains.
Very impressive, Sir.
you make it look so easy
A work of art, you should be a driver instructor in Brampton

Also I find if I just use the one mirror you don't get that angle confusion, if you're going straight one side no need to look in the other mirror.

most underrated youtuber, love your content
Awesome back-up job! Thanks for sharing.
Matt is really skilled ... 💪🏽
You are a true truck driver.

I look forward to your master class. I get compliments all the time on my backing skills but I have no idea how I'd help someone who's struggling.
Great job 👍👍👍
how often do you pull the train apart and grease the fifth wheels?
I also liked the rock unloading part.
B-train master
I remember when I started pulling b trains, took me about a week to get used to backing them.
The b-train whisper strikes again
Wow that has been the longest I have ever seen you back down a road ! Damn your good ! Did you check to see if you was still in Canada after that 😄 !
😂😂
Matt I like the way you explain it and reverse at the same time,,you should be a trainer
Is the Tim Hortons mandatory to achieve the best possible backup? Great video. Really enjoy seeing your work.
Why a super b and not just a 53 foot platform, why are super b used?

Exactly right!
You're good. Well done. Keep on trucking!

Awesome 😂
I drive 25,5 m B-train with 9 axles in Finland.
Holy Moly 😎
cool
What size is your visor? Looking for one similar size to yours for my rig
I just realized this is exactly the same as towing an airplane if you hooked the towbar up to the back of the tug for some reason instead of the front
Thanks again
Great 🎉
Getting distracted a little bit while you’re talking, getting caught up in your own words lol. I’d need to be completely quiet in order to focus

How long did it actually take to back up?👍👍
This long! 😂
🤔🤨👍

How hard was to do this at the beginning and how long did it take you to achieve this level of skill?

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
God I miss driving. Don't get vertigo, the state don't like it and will take your CDL away.
🖐️👋👍😍
And he did it shoe-less! haha.
I dunno how much you get payed but it's not near enough😅
He probably loves it, so it's like being paid for a hobby.
Dont you think we get tired of watching your backing skills. How about some driving videos. Just saying
I don't. What is this we you speak of? Mouse in your pocket?
I use to work at a wear house and you would be amaze at how many guys could not back in to the loading doors.
Next vid! Just happens to be what I’m doing at the moment
❤❤🎉🎉 👍👍
