This is one of my most used lenses for weddings and portraits. As long as the focus limiter is switched to the middle setting, the focus is fast and accurate. If the switch is set to Full, it will use the entire range and slow the focus considerably. I always leave mine in the middle unless I'm taking a macro shot, and it's great.

Go with the RF, it has image stabilization which is amazing in low light
There’s a 1k price difference with the 1.4 being more lol. You get what you pay

I can offer advice but I need to know whether you would prioritize Portraits & Toys or Street photographs.
