Karel Zich really disagree there, their latest album is my 3rd favourite of theirs next to ok computer and kid A, can't wait to see them at rock werchter in the summer
Rian Johnson later confirmed that he originally called it Knives Out after hearing this song and thinking it would be a pretty good name for a movie. There have been rumours that it was originally called "Morning Bell" as a title if you wanted more
I'd understand if that happens nowadays. Most singers now are solo artists and bands aren't included in the frontname so they're just in the background. But in this era, they are all included in the name Radiohead so they should really show and give appreciation to each member inive performances. Anyways, nice performance! I waaaant youuuu to know! AaaaaaA! I love this song
Being a 90s kid : born too late to watch classic rock bands live, born too soon to travel to mars, born right on time to enjoy radiohead continual evolution
Breakthrough in Berlin 09/11 I was stunned to finally see them perform after the fall of the scyscraping towers of NewYork through a terror attack . I m stunned still... they played and saved souls...
it seems like thom is really struggling to keep the band together on this song but instead of being angry he's really amused for some reason? it's funny tho, while radiohead might be critical of this performance they would probably deny that it's fucking amazing
It's amazing bc Thom is smiling so much, that's the most Thom had ever smiled, up until that time. And like always he just keeps spinning around trying to find a time to pick on Jonny lol
No-one likes this song. Everyone who says they do is pretending because they're scared of what others will say. It's a terrible song. This is the band that wrote Paranoid Android, Just and would eventually write songs like Lotus Flower, and they try to get away with this.
Dude you know everyone has their own opinions right? Knives out is like my favorite radiohead song. I mean I respect your opinion, but don’t say no one likes this song
I love how Ed’s voice literally just sounds like Thom doubling his own voice when they’re singing together.
He's a fantastic singer.
i love his voice.
Out of place comment. You better take a look at Jonny playing the best parts of the song.
Thanks
I agree re Ed’s singing, it’s part of the magic and brings an extra dimension to the song
The guitar line is just phenomenal...
Absolutely ... The most beautiful guitar line ever for me, it just melts on my ear.
Everything is. This is their best song IMO. It just encapsulates Radiohead.
i wanna cut up that guitar line and snort it
nice FFF icon
gizzhead located
thom is not the only one,the whole band is perfect
I see you on every radiohead video:D
Colin always messes up. He's a great bass player, but he messes up in all the live performances. Including this one.
@@unciervoenciervado maybe it's not a bug but a feature. ilove colin's contributions. cheers!
@@unciervoenciervado what? he’s phenomenal
@@unciervoenciervado … why hate on Colin
Best part is 2:08-2:14 when thom just looks at everyone like”fuck yeah we’re fuckin radiohead “🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
He is having a BLAST here.
At the bridge, I think Thom's saying: "Money, money, money, I'm in it for the money".
Yeppers
What is he actually saying btw?😂
This is my favorite radiohead song
Yes.
Same
mine too but then came "there, there". cheers!
Weird fishes too, yes!
@@chrissyhammond9089 hell yeah the 2018 performance of weird fishes exploded my mind
Jonny's guitar playing is so so creative on this track
radiohead at their peak, what a fantastic performance
Karel Zich really disagree there, their latest album is my 3rd favourite of theirs next to ok computer and kid A, can't wait to see them at rock werchter in the summer
Liamo Curran oh actually I think they are still at a pretty s solid shape. but I feel like the OK Computer/Kid A era is just the true top.
They peak every time. Remember , this is before bloom and ful stop
This is pure radiohead.
Radiohead’s Smiths inspired song. Ed played it to Johnny Marr and Johnny said he was beyond flattered by it
3:20-3:24 It gives me chills man!!!
fucks me all the way up lol
I love how Thom looks so gleeful while singing what is, after all, quite a dark (but immensely beautiful) song.
40 years from now kids will be talking about Radiohead. And we will be proud to have been the 90’s generation that grew up with them.
God I love this song- have had it going around my head for two weeks solid...
It's always INSIDE MY HEAD too! (Did you see the reference XD)
Smiley Thom at 2:08 ! Love it!! 😄Trying to learn this one on guitar..it's going slow haha.
They’ve always been in a league of their own.
love the guitar in this so much, it speaks volumes to me...
Haven't gotten into amnesiac that much really but this song is one of my favourites
you HAVE to
I wore out this song on my CD...love it!!!
There’s a movie out called Knives about and all I can think of is this song!! Perfect live version.
Galaxy Lucia I just wish they put it in the movie! Great movie anyhow
I understand the movie was named after the song. RH fans ‘hear’ the phantom theme song for free lol
Rian Johnson later confirmed that he originally called it Knives Out after hearing this song and thinking it would be a pretty good name for a movie. There have been rumours that it was originally called "Morning Bell" as a title if you wanted more
Thom is perfect
Get some help child !
Only Jesus Christ is perfect !
Time passes Radiohead doesn't age.
Anyone else find it really annoying when the director focuses on one member of the band for most of the video? Distinct lack of Colin bassface here
Ali Robertson who cares, it’s really engaging watching Thom live his emotions.
So true. I miss seeing Colin on a lot of Radiohead live videos (and on some, I miss seeing everyone but Thom and the occasional shot of Ed or Jonny).
Same!! That bass line isn’t some electronics track...they really should equal time to all of them.
Saw them at Bonnaroo With my son ! Priceless
the comment below... i agree with that shit, Thom is Perfect
Ed's telecaster looks so tiny lmao
Any guitar will look small on him lol
Hes a fucking foot taller than Thom would you believe it
Being a 90s kid : born too late to watch classic rock bands live, born too soon to travel to mars, born right on time to enjoy radiohead continual evolution
I love this song, but they seem to have abandoned it in live shows :(
I don’t understand why though. It’s such a good song
In 2022 this song still rules!
This song is amazin. Amnesiac is awesome. Radiohead is the best
Thom really enjoy his own inspiration
Absolutely! Great note!
The trurh is ... phill sellway its perfect
You can’t put things together without glue, and Phil’s that glue.
2:54
this song is mixture of karma police and street spirit
Paranoid Android
way more complex IMO
Such a great performance.
I agree with the comment below, I agree with the comment above, thom is perfect
I want to live in this extraordinary performance!!! Simply spectacular
that’s fabulous- sounds so clean even though it’s live
I bet jhonny hits 1000 notes in this song... incredible
All the songs of Radiohead make me cry!! Radiohead is very very much intense !!! Radiohead is my fav band ever and forever... much than P.Kloyd
+heatfamiliar Knives out would be the last song of OK Computer ?
No Knives Out is the 6th song from "Amnesiac." The Last song on OK Computer is "The Tourist."
Ian Cropley What? Yeah I know that...
love this song (y)
Their Paris performances always rule. This one feels lighter in comparison.
Creep is great but this one hits different
where's the love for phil :(
It sounds like Jonny was looking for the proper pedal right until 0:30
Life changed
2:10 Thom piensa ah no lo q estamos sonando papuu
que bonito es verlo disfrutar una canción asi, muy pocas veces se le ve así a Thom
realmente que hermosa voz tiene el gran tom
Love this ❤️
Masterpiece!!
Man they are good
RADIOHEAD the modern day Pink Floyd, gr8 sounds and experimental
3:20 on repeat
Oh hell yes
the moment below, i didn't read it, but thom`s left eye is perfect
Breakthrough in Berlin 09/11 I was stunned to finally see them perform after the fall of the scyscraping towers of NewYork through a terror attack . I m stunned still... they played and saved souls...

love from quito ecuador
Je découvre (ah ben français !) et je vois les films de Loach.
Un binôme sans aucun doute.
live on canal plus . pour le meilleur de Radiohead toujours meilleur sur de petites scènes. Ce morceau est une merveille mais avec eu on est habitué.
Top of the Pops: "You have to mime, we're commercial arseholes".
Jools Holland: "No miming, live performances only".
Such a great song still.
I do not agree with the comment below, thom is not perfect. HE IS FUCKING PERFECT!
TioOrwell
Esta versión es más rápida y te engancha de una, todos mantienen la línea
3:22 woops
And then they never performed knives out again
Is there a reason why they stopped playing it live like Creep? Love this song. I think it got me into Radiohead actually. That or Karma police
Speaking of things they never performed live again, what's up with Pull/Pull Revolving Doors and Morning Bell/Amnesiac?
This performance of Knives Out vs the 2001 Canal+ studios Paris France version of this song?
Curious.
Its another wonderful song in our human musical dna ... with some slight mistakes in editing.
Glastonbury never heard it before all changed after that
it seems like thom is really struggling to keep the band together on this song but instead of being angry he's really amused for some reason? it's funny tho, while radiohead might be critical of this performance they would probably deny that it's fucking amazing
It's amazing bc Thom is smiling so much, that's the most Thom had ever smiled, up until that time. And like always he just keeps spinning around trying to find a time to pick on Jonny lol
ed looks like the skeleton at the end of the music video when he's playing like that
I wonder if REM ever tried to play this...
That’s the cry of the industry eating him alive. Labels destroy artists. He’s the mouse.
Deep
❤️
i agree with the comment below, i agree with the comment below, thom is perfect.
As a Midlake fan, this song has always felt like the template for Midlake
I disagree with all the comments below, Radiohead is Fucking perfect!
Year?? I'm assuming 01? I'm looking for '99/2000 performances of this and other Amnesiac tunes
mywhychromosome Exactly, its from 2001 at Jools Holland Tv show
T MMDT... HASTA ME TUVE QUE SUSCRIBIR... 🤟👍
Agree with all the comments below
I can see why they mostly refuse to play music from first record.
Play
I agree with the comment below! The first vocal tone of this somg sound just like the first vocal tone of stockholm syndrome
Pontus Trolle Muse sucks in comparison
Talk about pretentious! Look at us, aren't we alternative and weird.
No-one likes this song. Everyone who says they do is pretending because they're scared of what others will say. It's a terrible song. This is the band that wrote Paranoid Android, Just and would eventually write songs like Lotus Flower, and they try to get away with this.
Huh? This is one of their best songs.
this is my fav radiohead song

TheFuturist I'm not pretending you full on nunk.
Huh? I love this song. Way more than the ones you mentioned tbh
Awesome 😎
