It is ironic that Audrey does not like spider. He is the one of the most charitable people in Coronation Street. Audrey could do with taking a leaf out of his book.
It is plain to see that Gail does not have a sense of humour. At 2:02:28 she cuffed Tyrone just for saying Gail Force just as a suggestion for a name of his greyhound.
Natalie was the right replacement for Bet Lynch. The Duckworths did provide many comedy moments when they took over the Rover's, especially when they teamed up with Alec, but it was never going to last as Jack and Vera hadn't a clue how to run the place. Natalie could have stayed on as landlady well into the 2000s or perhaps beyond! I wasn't a fan of the constant rotation of landlords and landlady's since. From what I see of modern Corrie, the Rovers is like a morgue.

My mother used to take a dim view of Ken Barlow. It is beyond me why, because Ken is a lovely man and he is very helpful and charitable. Still it takes a genius to fathom out the way a female's mind works.
She probably is familiar with Ken’s history. He was very controlling of Deidre during their first marriage to the point that she did have the affair with Mike.
Gail said "When you get to 40 everything falls apart". She was nearly 49! So many of them pretend to be younger. Ken was then 68, Rita 66, Mike and Alma 64, and Fred 61. They act like they're just middle-aged!
Judging by your profile photo you're pretty old yourself Lawrence so what's with the ageist comment? "They act like they're just middle-aged!" - no they don't. They play the roles and the ages given to them by the scriptwriters/producers.
@@eph2817she's just putting the knobhead straight. The character of Gail is 41 in Coronation Street at this time. If you can't understand the difference between an actor and the character they play, then you are not very bright.
At the point 26:43 Gail is crying just because she had a row with Martin. Gail is about 45 and she is acting only 20% of her age. Is it any wonder all of her kids are immature.
They were so obviously not eating meat off those sticks in the scenes in the supermarket. I remember that scene with Gail and Sally bringing in the Santa presents and trying to hide them from the kids, and myself wondering about all the kids watching that scene on TV, such as my two sisters who believed in Santa at the time. I remember my parents looking at each other in shock at it.
5:46:34 Martin has a bit of previous in this department, does he not? The storerooms at Weatherfield General seem to double up as knocking shops for him!
At 6:28:00 Audrey only thinks she is a very good judge of character. Towards the end of 2018 she thought Lewis Archer had changed entirely and did not know otherwise until it was too late.
Martin and his psychological bullshit with Gail. He is being distant, nasty and cruel, distant being the worst. At the pub, with Rebecca, Martin is already being mentally unfaithful.... AND Leanne is a nasty piece of work. SKANK
At 5:09:40 The Paul Stassino look-a-like called Sergei said that Audrey looked like Maxine's older sister. Well he is a poor judge of ages. I would have thought. Audrey looked old enough to be Maxine's mother. All I can say is Serei must think Maxine looks 7 or 8 years older than her years. For a start Audrey looks older than Doreen Heavey.
Alma's lecture to Audrey about Sergei between 6:51:54 and 6:52:54 would be nothing to what Gail would say to her if Gail got to hear about the relationship. Gail can be a spoilsport.
Martin Platt , brings his work home to the house 🏠 , my mother worked as a nurse for many years , and never mentioned her work or her patients to any family members , The writer has not got a clue , about the integrity of the medical profession

@@flumpaustin1994 Right on! I never experienced the integrity aspect of the profession! I often heard comments and names of the patients commented about!
At the point 51:02 here is Izzy Redpath from Waterloo Road. When her daughter Chloe wanted Donti Charles (Adam Thomas) as her boy-friend, She was against the relationship almost as much as Gail was against the relationship between her son Nick having Leanne as her girl-friend!
@@EveHenleySpread Hope for a long time as they don't seem to ever want to put the archive properly on say Britbox, you get a few episodes and that's it and then you can't follow a story.
oh well we reach December 1999......the end of 20th CENTURY CORONATION STREET... the end of many things too...........!!!! the show was looking a bit like Corrie of the 2000s.......with certain cast members etc...... i watched it during the Richard Hillman storylines..... Then for Ray Langtons return, 05, then the killer Katy stuff.... then stopped in 06....... Then watched again in 2010...50TH anniversary....Tram Crash..etc....then STOPPED FINALLY...IN 2014.......................NEVER watched it since...!!!!!! i wonder why.......!!!!!!!!
This is around the time I began to lose interest in Corrie. Many bland characters began to be introduced during the Jane McNaught era, and the storylines were too issue led instead of character led - Sarah's teenage pregnancy, Toyahs attack, Alma's sad death, Roy & Hayley kidnapping a child, the Fresco staff being held hostage, Jed the drug dealer - no thanks not for me. I did enjoy the Richard Hillman storyline as it was fresh at the time, along with it being well written and acted out. However, I quickly began switching off again after that as Corrie was turning into a bad pantomime with too many affairs and numerous villains. With a few exceptions, 21st century Corrie has been generally dire. Thanks for the uploads and letting us relive these Coronation Street episodes again and giving us a chance to relive its golden era.
Yet again Gail goes snivelling to someone else rather than confront her husband with her suspicions. Gail went running to her father-in -law when she only suspected Brian her first husband was having an affair with another woman. Gail has not changed at all these past eighteen years.
I think Jacqueline Pirie who played Linda Sikes , is a quality actress , l heard through the grapevine the Scottish actress has retired from show business , with her talent , she could have became a super star .
I think Nita Desai was let Down By James from Freschos head Office , but the way she ran after him did not help her chance's of getting the management Job at head office .
That Jez Quigley is the Gripper Stebson of Manchester. His action at 6:58:01 convinced me of that. For those of you are too young to remember Gripper whose real name was Norman Stebson was the arch bully in Grange Hill. In fact he was the biggest bully who ever was in Grange Hill.
When Gail was listening to Toyah about her problem with Leanne, I am surprised Gail did not say "If I was 25 years young and had Leanne as my sister I would be ashamed of that fact" knowing how Gail usually feels about Leanne.
That was really nice of Les to wish Deirdre well for her appeal, and acknowledging his wrongdoing while she was innocent. Good when the writers show a different or unexpected side of characters.

@@SuzyQ334 What is with the vile comments you leave.
@@eph2817she's just putting the knobhead straight.
The character of Gail is 41 in Coronation Street at this time. If you can't understand the difference between an actor and the character they play, then you are not very bright.
I think we should rename it copulation street. All the sex!
I so agree..it should be Fornication Street or Copulation street! All the snogging is horrible!😣
David is playing Kurbys Dreamland I recognise it by the sounds
At the point 26:43 Gail is crying just because she had a row with Martin. Gail is about 45 and she is acting only 20% of her age. Is it any wonder all of her kids are immature.
They were so obviously not eating meat off those sticks in the scenes in the supermarket. I remember that scene with Gail and Sally bringing in the Santa presents and trying to hide them from the kids, and myself wondering about all the kids watching that scene on TV, such as my two sisters who believed in Santa at the time. I remember my parents looking at each other in shock at it.
47:51 "What's that got to do with fairy lights?" RIta 🤪
5:46:34 Martin has a bit of previous in this department, does he not? The storerooms at Weatherfield General seem to double up as knocking shops for him!
Touché Turtle is well oiled & putting the hard word on poor Martin *shudder*
Wow she's REALLY FAST that torpedo al monica tyrone! 😮🎉❤😊
So sad she can't race again 😢
At 4:08:00 Oh Dear! Oh Dear! As Doctor Zachary Smith in Lost in Space would say!
At 6:28:00 Audrey only thinks she is a very good judge of character. Towards the end of 2018 she thought Lewis Archer had changed entirely and did not know otherwise until it was too late.
But she was right about him..... It was Nick that stole her money...
Hey just wondering am not asking you to put up but do you know if anyone has classic itv3 2000 episodes of Corrie
2.00 mins in , ken and dierde seemed genuinly in love and i think thats so cute
Fred "Yuri Gagarin's got his sights on Audrey"😂😂😂
Lol.
Martin at it again.
Wow those looked like real punches 😮
Alma's lecture to Audrey about Sergei between 6:51:54 and 6:52:54 would be nothing to what Gail would say to her if Gail got to hear about the relationship. Gail can be a spoilsport.
Ashley makes the perfect elf - especially with that ridiculous voice!
Martin Platt , brings his work home to the house 🏠 , my mother worked as a nurse for many years , and never mentioned her work or her patients to any family members , The writer has not got a clue , about the integrity of the medical profession
Neither have you!
@@flumpaustin1994 October 2010 Gail Platt looking at Natasha confidential medical records . Should be an instant dismissal . according to the doctor on duty at the medical centre
My birthday is 31st december and the millennium was really disappointing to me.
Almost the complete 90s now available on RUclips (except for a few ITV3 edits).
But for how long eh? Lol.. that is the question! 🤷♀️
At 2:15:07 there is an easy answer to that Toyah. Leanne is her father's daughter.
Vinny will be another notch in Natille, s Bedppost
Nineteen years later Sophie Webster (Sally's daughter) became a shade more tougher than Maxine (Ashley's wife).
Ken Barlow teaching Tyrone Dobbs , it will not belong before Tyrone goes to University
It is now 2024 and Leanne is still treating her little sister like something on the bottom her shoes.
Toyah is more intelligent, grows up to become a responsible young woman, Leanne still likes getting her own way.
I've got a great way to stop Les from talking it's called Superglue.
Yet again Gail goes snivelling to someone else rather than confront her husband with her suspicions. Gail went running to her father-in -law when she only suspected Brian her first husband was having an affair with another woman. Gail has not changed at all these past eighteen years.
How come Rebecca has the same mugs as Natalie at the Rovers?
I think Jacqueline Pirie who played Linda Sikes , is a quality actress , l heard through the grapevine the Scottish actress has retired from show business , with her talent , she could have became a super star .
If Janice and company think Mike Baldwin is tight, they should meet Chris Tate in Emmerdale.
I think Nita Desai was let Down By James from Freschos head Office , but the way she ran after him did not help her chance's of getting the management Job at head office .
Sergei is a treat (not just for Audrey and Alma).
At the point 4:47:38 There is still the old Rosie Webster.
The guy playing Mark Redman is very attractive 😏
Slimy.
He was awful.
No not my type Greg Kelly
Blanche hilarious
Here in Canada Mark's last name would be offensive to some!
Martin acting like a victim, anyone with emotions will react like Gail did
Hi There So Sorry To Bother U When Next Corrie Just Asking Ok THANKS For These
When Gail was listening to Toyah about her problem with Leanne, I am surprised Gail did not say "If I was 25 years young and had Leanne as my sister I would be ashamed of that fact" knowing how Gail usually feels about Leanne.
