Farewell to Corrie 1984 - the year of: the Websters, the final swansong of a Walker (albeit roguish Billy) in the Rovers, Elsie Tanner's far too rushed exit, and the sad loss of Stan Ogden.
For me, New Year 1985 marked the beginning of the last decade of the "Golden Era", with Bet as Queen of the Rovers. After that, it was downhill all the way.

I've been binge watching all these old episodes of when life was far less complex than of today. I remember these from when I was a kid. We weren't that far behind in Australia but then they stopped showing it here but then brought it back a couple of years later but by then it had lost its drive and was canned for good.

When originally built houses like those in Coronation Street often had the back living rooms with big ranges for cooking later on the little sculleries at the back were made into kitchens. Does this mean he wasn't generally liked back then?

But couldn't get enough against him to get him in court
I seen in a documentary about him about 10 years
After it all came out the evil horrors he was up to
