It's super useful to have this series shot as a process or order of operations, as you've done - it's important to emphasize what you said in the earlier video about how each operation affects the other adjustments. Bravo! (:
That was absolutely fantastic series. I've watched that with great interest. The way you talk about being a repairman is something that I totally agree with and sth that warms up my heart. I've got a bunch of destroyed typewriters, which were my training ones. Everything I had to learn, I've learned from videos like yours, Joe Van Cleave or Phoenix Typewriter. Guys, you're the best! Funny thing: as a result my whole typewriter vocabulary and technical terms are in English, though English is not my native language! Really, I don't know how to explain some technical details in Pish or Czech! :D
Thanks for this extraordinary videos with Olympia SM3, etc. I already have one and I personally did a cleanup all the chassis and everything, but I think need to make some adjustments and with this videos I learn a lot . Thanks again and I wish the best for you.
If you are wondering if all the work of making these videos is worth it: I'll bet that over the years they will be watched and referred to many times, by many people. Well done.
Thank you for this series, it's so helpful! I have a '58 SM3 that's in great condition, but strangely, not typing straight. From left to write, the line drifts diagonally downwards as I move along the page. Have you ever encountered that? Also, sometimes the letters type evenly (hHhH) and other times, it'll be out of whack, but not consistently. Would you suggest I adjust the uppercase/lowercase letters perhaps?
