For those who were wondering back in the day Cornwall was technically its own thing with its own capital and that's the reason in the video it had its own flag
Fun flag facts of the day: Did you know the most southern “state” in Sweden has there own flag? It’s a mix between the Swedish 🇸🇪 and danish 🇩🇰 flags, because the south of Sweden used to be danish! So it is a red flag with a yellow cross😃
Funny thing is that the Swedish speaking Finns also have their flag, which is the yellow cross on the Finnish flag, but the old Finnish flag which was red. So it looks nearly identical (I think the shade of red is different).
@@gabanonanonanonanon8928 You sure about that? English has different sounding vowels than German, which makes it difficult for anyone speaking English to pronounce German words correctly.

We appreciate a Chad like you supporting our cause. Also, pink is rarely used in flags because it might be difficult to distinguish from a red that’s faded over time, or even from one that hasn’t, in the wrong light, it could be mistaken for white. Plus pink is an expensive dye. Three national flags have pink. Spain, Mexico, and the British Overseas Territory of Turks & Caicos.
The reason Cornwall had its own flag is because Cornwall has its own distinct Celtic identity and language and in a Celtic nationalist context, Cornish independence or autonomy is important.
I live in Wigan, so it’s always strange on my bus route that someone has put up the old Saxon red and yellow dragon flag. Imagine being that patriotic you’re flying the 11th century flag
For many years Cornwall was its own country with its own language, culture and traditions. It was only until the late 1600s when vast majority of the Cornish began to speak in English. Despite this, they’re are still over 2000 fluent Cornish speakers today and the number is rising; it is taught in a lot of Cornish schools. Additionally, since 2014 the Cornish have been recognised as a national minority due to their proud history and a distinct identity
I learnt to speak near fluency at German so I could put it on my CV now ive forgotten most of it and I live in fear that a German customer will come in and Ill get in trouble for lying.
