I'm surprised to not see any older, ancient works. There is a vast treasury of writings from our early Christian forebears, things like "On the Incarnation" by St. Athanasius, The Didache, the letters of St. Irenaeus of Lyon, St. Polycarp of Smyrna , St. Ignatius of Antioch, St. Justin Martyr to name but a few. I was raised in a devout Christian home, attended Bible school and lived overseas as a missionary for multiple years, but it wasn't until well into adulthood that I was first exposed to these theologically rich writings from earlier generations. I felt like I'd be robbed of a wealth of wisdom from those who fought, bled and died for the defense of the Faith "once for all delivered to the saints". These things are well worth looking into!

Thank you, an excellent list, have read most of them. Knowing God is best book I ever read, read it every June for 30 years. Have given it to many pastors. Screwtape educates the Christian to the devils wiles.

    I totally agree....
    Philippians 4:8
[8]Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.

10:24 Don't agree with CS Lewis on theology? I'd like a video on this disagreement alone. I've yet to see a statement from CS Lewis I didn't like. He certainly believed in Scripture's promise to the Jewish people of the revival of the nation, maybe that's it. I see some of the rec's here are from the modern reformed camp, so that would explain it. If that's the case, everyone is better off with his initial recommendation and just read your Bible 2:20.

Reading the Bible will lead you inevitably to the Reformed view.
