You got that right! These young lads are one of a kind. You cant really just find any siblings that can create great music and can impersonate the vocals of different genres and their harmony are right on. I just hope that they will stay together and none of the boys will decide to go solo because unless he can write and arrange music, most of all love God then maybe!
I was hunting the youtube for "That Thing You Do" covers and found this. This music is very easy to play, but very hard to sound good. I loved this version. Congratulations!
Most people don't understand how difficult it is to sing and perform this song and actually make it sound good. This was the best cover I've ever heard of this song. Well done!
I have been a Brazilian musician and doctor for many years. Today I am 65 years old. I still have a band, too. kkkk. I play the guitar. You are a wonderful example of life. Musicians of extreme sensitivity and good musical taste. Your vocals are exceptional. They are not behind any world band. I was very touched when I first heard you. God continue to bless you all. I hope one day to be able to give each one a big and loving hug. A kiss in the hearts of everyone in the band.
Not so fast. It's all about your Brand. Talented yes but it would be hard to sell a group from the philippines to the American public. If they were Korean they would have a better shot. That is the thing now with the young girl set. Good luck to them...
Judging by some of the comments people are not aware of how really good Philippino bands are. I worked in Dubai in the early 2000s and every hotel had a live band and the best ones by far were the Philippinos. I remember one hotel I used to frequent that had a Philippino band and they would always play Queen song for me. It was amazing how the lead guitarist sounded just like Brian May. P. S. I played bass in bands way back in the last century. I now dabble in playing the guitar
@@caritas7523 did you really have to? Many of my non Filipino friends here in the US that’s how they spell it. He emphasized the “F” sound with a “Ph” sound, right? As long as we know what he’s talking about, that’s all that matters.

I absolutely love your music renditions. I’ve travelled all over the world and the Philippines are my next stop and you helped me make that decision. You are wonderful ambassadors for your country. God bless you all and keep rocking.
Well done guys! Saw this movie when it came out back in the 90's and have always loved the film and the soundtrack since then. Great job on this cover!
I worked on the film as a bellboy in some of the scenes at the Ambassador Hotel which has been torn down. Very fun film to work on and every day the filming was wrapped for the day, Hanks would have "Lovin' You lots and Lots" played on the speakers.
Hi REO Bros, your excellent performance on this song is really a fitting tribute to Adam Schlesinger who wrote this song. He passed away on April 1 2020 due to covid-19. RIP Adam. And to you guys, thank you very much for all these times always giving us something to be happy about . Cheers!!!👍👍👍
what really sold me was the amazing backing vocals by all the other members of the band. like wow, combining thst with the fact they had to keep playing their individual instruments in sync with their vocals is just insanity to me
That thing you do... that's the reason why you were spared from Yolanda. Because the world has been waiting for you, REO Brothers. Cherish and nurture your God-given gift. Stay humble and God-fearing. And continue to be a source of pride for the Filipinos. Thank you for keeping us company during this time of pandemic with your lovely songs. Keep 'em coming!
Hello, me and my family, directly from the city of Teresina, State of Piauí, northeastern Brazil, we always enjoy your videos and appreciate your interpretations with perfection and quality, maintaining the originality and soul of the songs that have marked generations. Greetings from Fábio, Ronilda, Rebeca and Artur. (When you come to do a show in Brazil let us know)
Hi Fabio. Nice to know these incredibly talented boys have fans even in your part of the world. Greetings to you and your family. I'm from the Philippines myself and a big fan of these REO brothers. 👍🙏😊
Lots of people think that when you do a song, you should make it yours. I like when a band sounds almost like the original, the thing that made it a hit is what people want to hear. Once in a while, someone will redo a song and make it better, but it's very rare. I really like you guys.
Wow! While building a "True Covers" playlist to listen to on the road, I keep returning to the REO Brothers. Every song they touch is just amazing! They are so technically accurate to the originals, and many times, better than the originals. They seem to capture the moment in time on whatever selection they are playing. Salute!
Wow. I love the song, and 99% of the covers one can find here on You tube. This is one of the best! Correct final chord (others seem to miss it). Lead guitar break done entirely without looking! A correct Rickenbacker guitar for rhythm guitar (others miss that, one band uses an acoustic guitar-- yeech), and... what a surprise -- a RIGHT hand Hoffner bass! I didn't know they even made a right hand model! (Just kidding. The one Hoffner bass we've all seen for 60 years has been Paul McCartney's left hand bass!). Excellent sound, great job! Loved it all!
Okay, that was freaking awesome. The vocals were absolutely spot-on everywhere and the music as far as the instrumentation was perfect ....you guys are great
From one of my favorite 1990s films 'That Thing You Do' about a young rock band rising in the competitive rock music world of 1964. The film takes us along for the ride seeing the "Oneders" first successes on records from that to TV then to the decline and subsequent breakup with all heartbreak that entails due to the fickle Rock 'N' Roll audiences and the differing opinions of the group. Wonderfully recreated period music and a great Tom Hanks script. REO Brothers, you guys played this to perfection I dare say. Lee
The drummer rocks, the lead vocalist guides, the rhythm guitarist is the visual of the band and the bassist is their dark horse... hahaha this band always leads my imagination wild.. because they’re the best
