    My first baby is coming this December and I'm planning on going breastfed to bottle so my husband and family can feed our baby if I'm at work or doing something else. I worked in a preschool for many years and a common theme I saw with babies that were also breastfed was that they all used this bottle!
    The tip you gave about using the slow flow nipple on the bigger bottle size is definitely one I'm socking away for later!

    I started using this bottle for my cleft lip and palate baby girl. I was trying to avoid cleaning so many parts.. well they seem to be working the reason why is because of the squeeze part!! I hope they continue to work I just started using them!! Thank you for this review!!

      i’m looking into these! my son has a cleft palate and i’m tired of dr brown specialty feeder. too many parts. very few bottles are cleft palet friendly :( it’s rare but it happens! i’m hoping the fast flow would be a good transition for him. how did your daughter like them?

    What’s the best way to warm up breastmilk using this bottle? Could I still put this bottle in a bottle warmer or is easier to stick into boiled water?

    • @TheBabyCubby
      @TheBabyCubby  7 лет назад +2

      You can use either a bottle warmer or boiled water. Some bottle warmers it may not fit in so it may just depend what works out easier for you!

      Are there any pros/cons on warning it in a warmer v. running water? Does the silicone give off any smell or plastic wearing/tearing over time if we use a bottles warmer? Do you honestly suggest it better to warmed up with running water or bottles warmer? I’ve heard that one of the downsides of warming it in a bottle warmer is that besides finding a warmer that fits, the silicone makes the milk take much longer to warm up?

    • @TheBabyCubby

      Though they may tip they won’t necessarily spill until you have a larger nipple size on them! Slow flow nipples will hardly let out any liquid without the actual pulling milk action!

    • @TheBabyCubby
      @TheBabyCubby  7 лет назад

      lidyia1 We probably wont be doing a review on the boon drying racks, but just way of information. The water drips into the bottom tray. So it's two pieces, easy to clean. Hand wash in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. www.babycubby.com/boon-grass-counter-top-drying-rack.html Let us know if you have any other questions.

    • @constancecolburn6447
      @constancecolburn6447 7 лет назад +4

      I can help you with the boon rack. You’re putting wet bottles in the grass so water is going to drip down in the tray. So every few days you will just take out grass and clean the tray. If you don’t then yes that water will sit and get gross.

      @silviaelena 4 года назад

      Not the lid or nipple but the cap. At 4:54 in the video you snap off the cap with such ease but usually it takes a lot of effort to take them off. They don’t just snap off. Maybe it’s cause there’s no liquid it it - or there’s no condensation on the outside.

    • @TheBabyCubby

      We recommend using the nipple that mimics your flow the best. If you have a faster flow then the fast flow nipple would work fine. If your flow is slow then the fast nipple my lead to frustration for your baby while breastfeeding.

    Are they going to squeeze out milk when we put them in diaper bag some how? Just wondering

    • @TheBabyCubby
      @TheBabyCubby  6 лет назад

      Hi Ryala, this would depend on how much milk you put in it and how your pocket is shaped. The ring at the top is rigid so that helps the bottle keep its shape quite well but if there is something in the pocket, for instance, that might push up on the bottom it could push liquid out the top.

    I'm using these and I've noticed that sometimes my baby will seem to drink but no milk comes out. I did a test to see if it was the nipple. I tilted the bottle and at first the milk would flow out but then after a short time it would stop coming out. The only way to get it flowing again (just by tilting the bottle) is to open the top and I guess let air go in again.
    Are the bottles supposed to flow naturally so that if I had a bottle tilted it would empty itself. Or are they designed to flow and then stop after a short time, requiring the baby to do some work? Maybe something is blocking the vents in mine?

    • @TheBabyCubby
      @TheBabyCubby  3 года назад

      These bottles are supposed to imitate nursing and so they are designed for the baby to suck. They do have vents on the side to help with the flow. If you think the vents are not working properly, please send us an email and we would be happy to help you out at hello@babycubby.com.

      Hi! Because we are not feeding experts, we are weary to give more than just general advice on the subject and so would direct you to either your pediatrician or a lactation consultant. They will be able to give you the best direction for feeding your baby. If you are still breastfeeding, we would only recommend that you get the slow flow nipple replacement pack to go with the 8oz bottles so that your infant will still prefer breastfeeding to bottle feeding. The 8oz bottles only come with the medium flow nipples, so you have to purchase a replacement pack of the slow flows to use until you are finished nursing. We will link those here >> www.babycubby.com/comotomo-silicone-replacement-nipple-slow-flow-2-count.html/

    One thing I don’t understand about these bottles is that sometimes the milk won’t flow. The first time it happened I had to use a needle to make a bigger hole in the nipple because I thought it was not big enough, but then it happened again and now I understand it doesn’t have to do with it but I can’t figure out what is it.

    • @TheBabyCubby
      @TheBabyCubby  2 года назад

      The small bottles will come with a slow flow nipple which will have a VERY slow flow meaning if you turn it upside down it might not flow since it uses suction from baby. You can also try and give it a little squeeze which will mimic the letdown feature to make sure it is flowing, if it is still not showing any signs of flow, you can upgrade the nipple size to a faster flow or contact the company for a warranty claim!

    Hi i started trying to bottle feed my baby late at 2 months old. I tried him for the first time on medium flow because i bought the 8 oz bottle unfortunately i didn't buy the slow flow nipple. He does not latch right away which i was hoping for. What he does is he keeps moving the nipple around his mouth and biting it. He at one point sucked it after trying hard yet patient and then he started to scream then i had to give him breast again. Tips please because i want to breast feed and bottle feed simultaneously is that an issue? Hiw do i get him to latch on these bottles right away and can i switch back and forthh feeding breast and bottle with these comotomo bottles. Help please going back to work soon.
