Yeah agreed searching for teach isn’t fun. I use 3 as well. I also like kaido and run 4 of the blocker doflamingo instead of Sengoku. I’ve had too many matches where I end up having to boost my Kaido or another good card because it bottom decks the others.

Hey VV, huge fan here! I just wanted to ask, how come the “ON PLAY” abilities activate AFTER the “WHILE ATTACKING” and “OPPONENTS ATTACK” effects BUT before damage? I’ve been playing this game for about a year and this interaction has not happened to me. I was wondering because I would assume that both attack effects and damage would resolve before the “ON PLAY” as they seem to take priority and are a linear set of events. I come from Yu-Gi-Oh where there’s Chain Links similar to this. If there’s a link to the rules to read more about this I would appreciate it. Maybe I missed it in the rule books as well! Lol love the content VV. 😊
The reason that it works this way with Attacking is because in Battles there are Steps that happen in a specific order, so what happens in between them (with effects like On Plays), they have to be resolved before moving on to the next Step. Attack Step (When Attack and On Opponents Attack Effects happen) Block Step (On Block Effects happen) Counter Step (Counters/Event Counters can be used) One Piece also does not have a "Stack" or "Chain" like in MTG/Yugioh, it more or less has "Tables" that open up when Effects try to resolve simultaneously. so i bought a doffy deck becasue ita *meta( and it was somewhat cheap but i dont enjoy it not sure if its because the cards you bring out iwth the leader effect just die or cos black decks like lucci smoker and black beard just cream doffy like a chesse cake

I think teach is a must have in doffy. For a lot of matchups, especially the mirror, less than 3 can lose you the game
