Blackbeard is such an odd leader. After playing him, i find hom to be just a black version of op03 katakuri. In the sense, you control board mid game and then hide behind a powerful 10c by playing it back to back. Just like katakuri, when you do your 10c play, its hard to do anything that turn.
Bonney and Pluffy in same tier is wild. There is no way in hell these 2 leaders are in the same tier.. either Pluffy needs to be higher or Bonney has to be lower...
Im bias tbc. But i played both shanks and pluffy extensively. And i think its odd to put them in different places. Were are placing pluffy due to inconsistency but placing shanks based on high role. I think both should be 9-0 or 8-1 cause I feel like they are both win on high roll and lose on low roll and i think pluffy high rolls more frequently then shanks.
It's so sad to see Moria in the pepper tier. Such a fun a leader with great potential. He only had 1 set to shine and even in that set BY Luffy was just a month away.
Gecko is a leader I’m confident could easily come back if the design team at Bandai just gave him 2 or 3 more good cards. They keep printing mid cards that just straight up don’t solve any of the problems he’s facing. His bad matchups slowly being phased out is his only saving grace rn.
@@SmallHatCrew Crazy how great eruption is still on the ban list, like he is a strong card but I think semi limiting him to 2 copies would help a bit. No where as busted as Reject which should honestly stay on the list for awhile longer.
Almost turned off right at the start because the "Bonney is good into shanks" take is wild. The matchup is HEAVY Shanks favoured. All the 6ks just get popped and the top end just becomes tiny when they start dropping 10c shanks. Its honestly arguably a 9c zoro and pray matchup for bonney which is horrendous.
I’m a purple Luffy main and you’re definitely glazing. People that main decks are more familiar with their deck’s flaws than anyone else. Doffy is heavily favored into Luffy. Just because Luffy _can_ win the matchup doesn’t change the fact it’s skewed in Doffy’s favor and Pluffy loses it 56% of the time.
@SmallHatCrew ruclips.net/video/dyX3zc9Jz3g/видео.htmlsi=xWHdZmDdtx-4zd2i this video is a great example how p Luffy can control the entire game with Lin Lin.
no hate but it feels like u guys just look at tournament stats and dont actually try out intensively, shanks and lucci are very clearly not better picks than by luffy and blackbeard
What are you basing this on considering you have no way of seeing our playtesting. Joey has literally already gotten 2 tops in OP09 alone and from the data available between both regionals and the sim that just isn’t true. BY is consistently 9th or 10th best deck in rankings and events & BB isn’t even topping.
@@SmallHatCrew I think where this comment derives from is in the video there's little explanation as to why BB is 7-2. Say it's because his mu's in the meta are disadvantageous but none of those mu's were explained in detail. Example "Pluffy beats BB" okay but why or how? How is Bonney advan into BB? Bonney seems to lose to control decks so this is a confusing statement imo. Biggest thing is saying "X leader's bad mu's are X" then not explaining in detail why or how.
@zoratraps ofc hes disagreeing with anything like 80% of the whole comment section. Optcg yt comment sections are filled with smart asses that are searching for the most silly reason to disagree with anything without further explanation. Its ridiculous.
@@ZoraTrapsthe problem is we can’t discuss too in depth every single match up. But I agree this is a tier list and we’re going off of tournament success
@blaceXD You might be faded? Where are you getting your statistics to say this? Tournament results and sims are the best basis for tier lists or else it would be filled with personal bias, like your comment….
Also Bonney does NOT beat black beard I’m not sure where you guys get that lol and it’s OK at best into shanks depends how many 9c shanks the Bonney sees if Bonney was good into BB shanks Doffy and Pluffy it would not be a x1 deck
Idk I find the matchup 50/50 Shanks is helpful but I feel Hody and kid are the mvp especially if you can get 2 kids on the field with op07 Luffy protecting the blockers
How do you reason BB doesn’t go well into Bonney? He definitely is favored in that matchup. Blackhole Basil, negate Eustass, negate 10c Doffy, negate shanks; all of her top end which is what wins her games is shut down.
It’s not that she’s favored into it but instead that she plays well enough into it that it’s very winnable. If you’re going to play a losing matchup in a large scale event you’d prefer it’s only 55% favored for them rather than lopsided. She only loses it 44.93% of the time meanwhile if she runs into a leader like Nami she loses it 61.76% of the time. It’s all relative. It’s like Purple Luffy’s losing Doffy matchup, slightly unfavored but very winnable.
BB *might* win but at most it's 55/45. You have to burn cards early for on play negation but things like Cavendish/Carrot combo make it easy for her to build a board, win the life race, and ultimately possibly make it to 10c turns with BB being negligible. As BB you still have to be REALLY careful and mindful of what cards you use bc of you let on plays go for one turn 5c Bonney can screw you out of your 10 drop turn. It's an intricate matchup that's a lot more than just "black hole Basil". He has shit cost reduction (if opp is smart they will never let your rested chars stay on board) and if you're burning Stronger with black hole you're losing 3 cards and then 4 if you use leader same turn. So once again it's intricate.
@abiolindo9532 I don't play the deck but against it. My win rate into it is ridiculously high it they don't hit Jinbe weavil turn 2 or 3. That's its entire aggro play. If it doesn't due that it's pretty mid. If playing a dude, every turn off the deck was so good. It would have been meta ages ago.
@xrunner8709 sure, but they specified what they think the deck would consistently go. idk if i see shanks consistently winning swiss, and i especially don't see him winning bo3 top cuts often/if at all too. Shanks is literally red bonney, and for the same reasons they put her 8-1, yet put pluffy a deck significantly more consistent than shanks (who has a favored MU into shanks) at 8-1 too
Only time will tell but I expect to see Shanks win multiple events. The Eastern meta hasn’t equated to the Western meta at minimum 5 times. My next video will be about this along with the examples.
Bruh if you are saying OP10 Usopp is trash, he is the 4th best deck right behind 3. Red Shanks 2. BB and 1. Blue Doffy rn. B/U Ussop is popping off hard rn. 5. Is Yellow Kidd 6. Is Purple Luffy 07 Lucci, Bonney, Enel, Lim, G/Y Law, and R/G Smoker are also really good atm. Teach is definitely a 9-0 deck. It is just too early and people aren't used to the deck. The East has already proven it is a 9-0 deck so this shouldn't have been a debate. Also Shanks can't 9-0 consistently. This is Shank's first major win of 09. Not even the people in the East won with him. Doffy just pressures him too hard and Shank's main problem is consistency. He has similar issues to Bonney. Purple Luffy has already won a major tournament in the East so PLuffy is a 9-0 deck (granted you have to go first).
Usopp wasn’t mentioned in this video & there’s no way to know if Joey even still holds the same opinion since the last video. I’m on the side that Usopp is the best leader released in OP10, but in all fairness you can’t use eastern results as a deck being proven when the East had Kin’emon dominate OP02 when WB dominated & was even tier 0 in the West, Rebecca was the 2nd best deck in Eastern OP04 yet failed to win an event in the West and only had 8 offline tops while GP Doffy had 43, Pluffy dominated the majority of Eastern OP05 when Saka dominated the entirety of Western and even took all 4 top 4 spots at worlds, Black Luffy never made it into the Eastern OP08 meta but got multiple tops & wins in the West, & now BB so far has been underperforming in the West yet was top 3 in the East. Idk, just something to think about.
@@SmallHatCrew I guess that is fair but I think for BB's issue, he is just new and people haven't gotten used to him because it took Shanks this long to get 1 win and BB has several but granted that was at the middle to end so that is probably how it will end up being over here.
@@joeytheboy69 this true but im just saying the chances of bb is 50/50 cuz if a high level player like u pilot the bb deck vs your doffy u think u would lose most of the time?
