Suzanne Somers wrote some amazing books about perimenopause and menopause. She really did hard work to research and get expert advice from doctors and other experts on bioidentical hormones. Highly recommend. It is important to take magnesium as HRT depletes magnesium which most people have a deficiency in to begin with.

Thank you so much for leaving this comment. I had no idea about the depletion of magnesium with taking HRT.
I believe magnesium is also a good sleep aid??
Also, thanks for the tip on the Suzanne Summers books. 🙏👏

Yes, magnesium can help with sleep and a ton of other health benefits.

Estrogen is SO important for every cell and system in our bodies! I am 51. Still perimenopausal, but take HRT bc I want my heart, brain and bones (among all of the other things) to be healthy as I age! So many things start to decline as our estrogen declines. Our joints hurt. Our teeth become more brittle. Our vaginas become dry. We start
Getting frequent UTIs. So. Many. Things! I will be doing HRT for the rest of my life!!

Omg! Thank you so much for this comment. I honestly don’t know that much about HRT never really thought I needed it and now after eight years of being menopausal I’m really looking forward to seeing some positive positive changes with my health.
So happy you left this comment for everyone else to see as well. Great tips. 🥰

Isn’t it funny how it’s called MEN-o-pause. With the MEN part??? I’m 48…prob heading in to that peri stage. I refuse HRT as oral contraceptives wrecked havoc on me in the past and my body and synthetic hormones are a NO GO! My sex drive is so high which makes me think I’m about to fizzle 😂 but I still ovulate too which makes my drive even higher. I’m just gonna run with it for now. No hot flashes but some nights I do sweat in my sleep..just my chest/breast. I was moodier when I had a period then now without a period. The 3am wake ups are a bit much! Cortisol levels are the highest at that time and so many women wake up at that time!! Sometimes my inner ears itch and I will have slight vertigo. No body odor (thank goodness) or weight gain. Is crazy how we are all different. I do take supplements and I exercise, limit sugar, eats lots of Whole Foods!

OMG ... its been 10 years since i've. Gone through the change and im experiencing the itchy ears!!! Never thought of this being the reason. A question for my doc for sure.

I know!!! I had no idea!
And then I was talking to my sister and she said oh my God I have really itchy ears too… Why are we not talking about this? I have suffered with this for three years to the point where it literally drove me nuts.
When you speak to your doctor, I’m sure she’s gonna know what to prescribe but I am on oil drops. They are anti-inflammatory and have Cortizone. I’ve only used it for one day and already huge difference.

Btw, only women who have a uterus need progesterone. If you’ve had a hysterectomy you don’t need the progesterone.

OMG where do I start, I am going on 10 years, I asked my Dr. when will it stop she said Oh!!! some have it until they are in their 80s, I said WHAT!! If you look up menopause symptoms I almost have them all,, my symptoms are severe, its actually pure HELL......loool.. I laugh now then I cry,,, I cry a lot then laugh, my ears are very very itchy as well, for awhile I was also hearing my heartbeat in one of my ear...gone now thank God.... I don't sleep hardly...I forget a lot I am clumsy all the time, my eyes are extremely dry I am seeing a specialist at the moment cause I get infections often in my left eye, I'm on so many eye drops, geez I can go on...see I don't remember everything lol....Oh! a big one I am depressed a lot, I gained weight, very hard to lose, itchy skin....zero sex drive....no energy, and another Big one I crave sugar all the time, which before was not a problem for me, so also explain gain weight... Major hot flashes, then I get so cold for 5 mins, then I need a heating blanket, then 5 mins later I throw the heating blanket off, and my mood swings my poor hubby...I'm so happy though, he is such a good man, he does everything for me and always try to make me feel better.... blessed to have him..(what a different from my ex narcissistic which still gives me problems to this day, that was 18 years ago I left him)... asked for the Hormone things you have but was too scared of the side effects, so basically for me anyways its extremely bad actually it's Hell.... sorry to scare some of the women on here, but like my Dr. said not everywoman has it that long or severe, I am the lucky one with everything.... Love your channel by the way.... from a fellow Canadian ( I live 10 mins from Ottawa)..

Well, hello fellow Canadian. I lived in Ottawa for many years in my 20s and into my early 30s.
Your message made me laugh, and God bless your husband!
Glad you left your narcissistic ex behind. Not fun. !!!!
So far, I’ve been pretty lucky with the menopause symptoms, but that’s what I thought before and all of a sudden eight years later there’s more and more creeping up.
One day at a time, one symptom at a time, we will get through it, we got this!!!!
      Welcome to the community 🥰

OMG Emily!! Where do I begin? 😅i have to say you and I are sister's lol... as I've already mentioned I'm 58 and my symptoms are all of the one's you described expect for the itchy ears 👂. I take Alendronate 70mg for ostopena. I have to go for my Bone denisty and the dreaded mammo next month! I need the Estrogen for my " V" what is the name of the patch? I need it 😒 you are not alone friend I've been menopausal since i turned 50 😫and you're right use it or lose! Excellent video ❤
Also never used deodorant in my life!! 😂friends in HS thought I was nuts glad to know I'm not the only one.

      You’re not nuts!
I thought I was going crazy, and then I started doing the research. Why is this not talked about more often??
OK so I was given EstroGel
It’s not a patch actually it’s a gel that you rub onto your skin
Today was my first day using it…
And you’re so effing lucky you don’t have the itchy ear problem 😂😂
