Let me tell you, brother. Back around 1971-1972, when I was seven, I heard Olivia on the car radio, and she has been my favorite singer ever since. Her voice is the true "aura". Shortly after, I saw her pictures on album covers, and that led to a fifty-one year crush. Olivia was such a talented vocalist, with an incredible range, who sang with so much emotion. She was the world's sweetheart. Even when she and her team went for a sexier look, all you had to do was hear her talk, and she was the same old Olivia. Part of her allure, was that the camera loved her. She learned as a young woman on t.v. in Australia, how to work the camera. Boy did she ever.

The perfect blend of the girl next door and smoking hot at the same time whilst never looking cheap. She was a class act in every sense of the word... A fantastic performer and the world is a darker place with her gone....

I fell in love with Olivia and her music at 6 years old and 40 years later it still is the best. Olivia was and will forever be the best ever. Thank you for posting this and for respectfully paying tribute to a great legend.

I've always loved how the keybordist is gettin' down back there. I tend to look at him instead of Olivia when he appears in the shot. He's got crazy rhythm.
P.S. I'm glad you're continuing your Olivia Newton-John playist, my brotha.

Great reaction and you are so right about her presence. She was so great about looking directly into the camera as if she was looking into our eyes. She was singing to each one of us.

This is a FIRE performance! It was on the charts forever. So glad to hear that a new generation can appreciate the massive talent that she was, no auto-tune just natural talent! I had the great pleasure of meeting her at a cocktail party 11 years ago. So lovely, so beautiful and so down to earth! RIP to this angel among us, for way too brief a time!!! She sols 100 MILLION albums!

I have been a fan of ONJ since I was 7-8 years old, and I would spend my paltry allowance to buy the 45 single records of her music (about .89 cents ea.!) every chance I got. Please put "Have You Never Been Mellow" on your list. It was a huge #1 hit in 1975 and I was the 11 year old girl playing it constantly in my bedroom, joyfully singing along😂. Keep them coming! Thanks 🧡

I remember that Prince a few years before he died he did some intimate concerts in venues like the one on this video here in the UK, and they were not even programmed. They were announced on the same day. Quite a pop cultural moment in those days!

I was at Indigo with Prince. Usually when big artists go in small venues the price shoots right up his were the cheapest concert tickets in decades. He just jammed as an aftershow to unwind from the big concert before - I was at both. In the big concert was so far back could hardly see him at the aftershow I was second or third row x

She sung the highest notes in a falsetto register or maybe a whistle register. Maybe a combination of these two.

I did see her in concert, and it was in a big arena. But I was in the 6th row center stage, and it was like the intimate night club like you described...especially when she sat on the edge of the stage, looked right at me, and smiled while singing "I Honestly Love You".

Wow what a trip, I bought this single 45 Record in January, 1979 It was From her "Tottaly Hot" Album. Recorded in 1978 She still had Long Hair after "Grease" I think. They didn't start doing videos until around 1981, this was the "Physical" Look Harcut Etc. I'm so Glad they did this video, You're right A little more Love doesn't make it right not in most cases. I bought this 45 and played it over and over along with "Hopelessly Devoted to you" First Love pain SUCKS.

Since you & I both appreciate ONJ so much, this is for you if you have not seen it. In my opinion, this is ONJs best RUclips live concert in 1982. ONJ is in the peak of her career. She has pop icon status. She sings ALL her hit songs. 1 hr + of entertainment & eye candy. Unlike most female artists of today, Olivia didn't have to dress half naked, need exotic animals as props, a 30 person dance team to do choreography, & ZERO GIMMICKS. Much like Elvis, where women wanted him, men wanted to be him, with ONJ, men wanted her, women wanted to be her. In fact, ONJ was a fashion trend setter. When she changed her hairstyle, all the women copied her.
In this concert, she was at the height of her career, having recently released Physical. Thus, her much shorter, cropped, trendy hairstyle.
This concert is great to chill, have snacks/drink in hand, & watch a REAL TALENTED SINGER. Just give Olivia her backup band, orchestra, backup vocal singers, & a microphone. That's all ONJ NEEDED to entertain anyone. She had the "IT" FACTOR. Beautiful voice, charming, humble personality, and of course, EYE CANDY. Definitely in my personal video playlist. I saw two concerts in person. Got my ONJ If You Love Me, Let Me Know album signed by her & she was kind enough to take a picture with me. ONJ adored & loved her fans.
Although, Physical was her best selling song, ONJ's AND MY personal favorite song was "I Honestly Love You". It is her "trademark" song & was ALWAYS the last song she sang to her fans at EVERY CONCERT. ONJ always sang her songs as if she was singing her song ONLY TO YOU. I truly believed she was singing, I Honestly Love You, directly & ONLY TO ME. She had earlier average hit songs before this. However, I Honestly Love You took her to SUPERSTAR STATUS & put the music business on notice that she was going to be a FORCE in the music world. Grease, Physical, & Magic propelled her to music/Hollywood ICON STATUS. Like Elvis, there will never be another ONJ like her.
I honestly love you. I will be hopelessly devoted to you. You are my MAJIC. I will miss you forever. May you now rest in peace, pain free, my loving LIV. 😘❤🌹🥀😢
I hope you enjoy this concert, Fabian.

your are right.. she had a huge IT factor. Many had admittingly huge crushes on her... john Travolta, Jeff Conway, Rod Stewart, Michael Hutchence of INXS and actor Hugh Jackman. Rod stewart told a story of that her massive hit song Physical was written for him to record, but was dragging to do so, while Olivas manager got a hold of the song and asked to let them purchase for recording.. buy the rights, it was with a no... UNTIL olivia contacts Rod and asks and she got an immediate yes. all rod said about it.." I dare you to say no to Olivia newton john, I not sure I understood the question.. you stare and say yes." Actor Hugh Jackman done a movie with John Travolta and mentioned his life long crush on Olivia.. so John arranges a surprise meeting for Hugh.. Hugh was so star struck he stuttered and just told her how much he adores and loves her and dreamt of marrying her and went on and on.. all Hugh said " I think there's a restraining order " she has a long line of admirers..
