@@Zaldaingerous The rate and pattern you reel in your lure. If you are getting chasers or followers. Its because, as you know; they have seen that before and need something to trigger them. This has made a big difference on my local water of late with the cold/warm/water level. I believe it is something to break the normal pattern..
I like how you still fish shallow but use the new tech when you have to. Really grinding in every aspect to make it happen. Work ethic is everything and you definitely prove that. Tight lines bro!

Ever try working with wood from poplar tree? Isn't not balsa, but it is it's very own thing (cut it and give it time).
I mean for searching, the acoustic factor comes into play. This is what wood has got, and hard plastic doesn't. You can't really dial your lure in properly, and establish a strong bite pattern. Unless you go to natural materials at certain times (changes in weight too, both slow and speed up lures slightly). To engage with fish who 'know' bait, bait speeds and bait behavior. Hence poplar tree wood. It's not balsa, but it's not pine or anything else either. Hard plastic, simply can't 'tune', in the way natural materials like wood wind instruments in music do.

Na, they haven’t stopped working. These veteran pros just use FFS as a fallback excuse. Buddy Gross didn’t have a problem catching dirty 30s fishing old school with a lipless crankbait.

I love this comment. He even said it himself. You can catch 30-40lbs on glides and swim baits… if you good enough. Having to move deep and using FFS because you can’t get them to bite isn’t FFS fault.

Question and I’m a little confused by it and by no means mean this in a negative way but at the end of the video u made a little comment about it being sad that this is what bassin has come to… is that more due to the frustration of this particular tournament and seeing so many followers or are you beginning to turn towards regulation of ffs? Genuinely curious… especially from a pro perspective I feel like you have jumped into the ffs tech and bought into using it.

When you are running a pattern that should replenish… yes.

I’m curious. Do you think FFS or bed fishing bass is worse. To me yanking them out of beds and driving 50 miles would be worse for the fisheries. What do you think?

@@Zaldaingerous I respect that. I’m hoping people get frustrated with FFS and quit. It will really hurt fishing if everyone from weekend warriors to guides get good at it.
@@jimdandy1872with great technology comes greater responsibility. Be ethical dont fish too deep or for "vulnerable" fish like bedding fish
