I guess it just goes to show how much skill is required to make these cars dance around with surgical precision. Kazunori-san is an extremely competent grip driver, a quick look at his S2000 will show this, but with drifting he still has a lot to learn; he did great though so well done to him :)
Nice!!!!! Just picture drifting events and alot of drift cars in GT5 or GT6, especially Formula D and D1GP cars. My fav on GT5 is the Blitz ENR34 Drift Car. Can't wait to see more :D.
well Yamauchi-san is a racer, so he found it a little bit difficult to drift. But his game is basically based on his racing experiences, so it is still on the right path of racing.
Imagine that they already had this experience and even more, but it requires are realistic Tyrebehaviour and Drivetraindynamics simulation to increase the Physics further.
Oh, & did I mention the GT Academy & how GT was used as a competition to introduce video game racers into real life circuit racers? Did I also mention how Kaz took part in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, & won 1st place in 2011 in its class?
gran turismo will get there, I enjoy watching the series progress. when people say they switched to forza, why "switch" get both, enjoy both, it's not that expensive. though I find forza physics to be overly slippery, slicks spin like average road tires. but I enjoy forza for their epic engine sounds and muscle car selection, they if making a choice, I choose GT, I just like the series, I've played from the beginning, it's nostalgia I guess, I also find doing time attacks in GT much more fun.
This is awesome. Gt5 is great for drifting..there are a lot of people with mics on everyday. There are teams and battles always happening. I feel sorry for the people who gave up on it...they probably used wrong tires, bad set up, and/or got frustrated and rage quit lol. To the people whining about standard cars...the game has lots of premium cars..think of the standards as a bonus.
Forza has a simulation mode for steering wheels, just like GT5. the difference between the two games is how they translate simulation driving to the normal controller. And because of that aspect alone, is why i left the GT series after buying and playing them since my childhood, and made the switch to Forza 3, on to 4. Because the car control felt so much more dull.
It's not like that with people who only use systems. Millions of people have no idea about pCARS, iRacing,rFactor, or anything. It's a lot more accessible and lets us do things that computer sims (monthly subscription?) don't, or won't, offer us. Therefore, GT is the best racing game ever created (for me).
Yamauchi san, you better get started on GT6 soon. I don't wanna have to wait for another 6 years for your next game. Get it ready by the time Sony release PS4. Onegaishimasu...
That was awesome. He did really good. I hope GT6 will be good too. I loved GT4 but I didn't really like GT5. Hopefully they will have ironed out all the problems it had for the next game.
Kazunori Yamauchi, if you're watching this, please make some form of touge battle for gt5 in the next update!!! I beg of you on behalf of all those who love initial d.
Its funny because in english and any other language we have multiple words for yes like ok, alright, I understand etc. Then you hear japanese talking and Hai, hai ,hai, hai :D
Yeah, that's not going to happen. Lets be realistic. As much as we want something like that to be implemented into GT5, we can only hope for it to be in GT6 and future GT titles. Even at that, it might not even happen. There isn't even a touge-style track like Fujimi Kaido in the Forza series. A touge track is the number one thing on my GT wishlist right now.
Come on guys best racing game ever? I am a big fan if Race SIMS not racing games and I must say that personally forza and GT series have never had good physix. But hopefully the new gen of sims coming like Project cars will be a big jump like Simraceway and the Raceon series
First off... you've never seen some of the online drift events I've seen on GT5 where people use full on sim setups. Secondly.... of course drifting is easier on Forza.... I mean the arcade/racer genre does cater to the less experienced and/or younger age group.
Seriously, right? I run Nurburgring all day and it's fun but Gunsai Touge would be way better. It does make sense because I'm assuming every fanboy out there has watched Keiichi Tsuchiya and his buds drive there.
GT needs more D1 influences. Some D! events with D1 cars and drift setups would go a long way in the GT series.
This was great. I hope to see Kaz doing more interviews and such than he has in the past two years.
0:44
left dude: yes. yes. yes. yes. yes.
check out his steering technique at 3:35 wow
This car sounds so beautiful.
Yamauchi-sensei; teach me your ways
Lol, I've watched this before .
I really think Kaz needs to add more drifting cars or events to the next game GT7.
Sugoi!! This is awesome! It's nice to finally see Dai speaking Japanese. I don't think I have ever heard him speaking his language.
thank you for developing the best racing game EVER!
GTchannel, thanks for you exist!)

Kazunori Yamauchi is so youthful in his manner, love those Japanese attitudes.
Dai Yoshihara may be the 2011 drift champion but Keiichi Tsuchiya will forever be known as the drift god
Nice!!!!! Just picture drifting events and alot of drift cars in GT5 or GT6, especially Formula D and D1GP cars. My fav on GT5 is the Blitz ENR34 Drift Car. Can't wait to see more :D.
Thanks for the video. Good job!
Wow the throttle response is incredible, and the back end is really soft suspension. Must have heaps of tyre grip!
I would love to see some of this drift in the GT Academy show on Spike TV.
Loved this! Dai is the man!!!
Oh my this cour looks like it has tons of power at the rear wheels. Looks awesome to drive.
well Yamauchi-san is a racer, so he found it a little bit difficult to drift. But his game is basically based on his racing experiences, so it is still on the right path of racing.
That looks like alot of fun to try!
after this experience kaz will focus more on drifting in the future of gran turismo trust me!!
I like how kaz is just like, screw it no e brake today
what a quick learner
Drifting with the GT86 on Top Gear test track is pretty awesome! But takes an age to get the hang of when using a wheel.
Imagine that they already had this experience and even more, but it requires are realistic Tyrebehaviour and Drivetraindynamics simulation to increase the Physics further.
SOUNDS GREAT!
Yeah buddy .. Let's hope Dai S13 appears in GT6 !!
Oh, & did I mention the GT Academy & how GT was used as a competition to introduce video game racers into real life circuit racers? Did I also mention how Kaz took part in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, & won 1st place in 2011 in its class?
Wow. First time I heard Dai speak quickly
Imagine if because of this experience... they'll improve the drifting physics in GT, damn.
Kaz has really nice hair, I want to see his Human Crown on back of his head, its a hair pattern
awe man gt6 is gonna be filled with drift cars and drift challenges now :p I suck at drifting
Domo Arigato Yamauchi San for Gran Turismo
did anyone else notice the MAD outward canter on those front tires?
Nice engine sound and it rev´s up very fast :-)
At 7:16 they both start head banging like rock stars...
The songs are in the description, but I'd say it's electro house.
Holy damn that looks fun

Lol, I'm quoting Kazunori Yamauchi... He says "I might pick up Drifting" I just added the... "because idk what else to do with my money"
Speaking about Initial D, the Fifth Stage ep1 Came out last week!!!
Good job on your first try :)
Now you know how to improve GT 5 drifting :)
Oh, don't worry, I totally agree. Fujimi Kaido looks pretty bad. I just need an example of a touge-style track and that was what first came to mind.
Thanks for the personal lesson for free DAI!!!
The gopro at 1:45 has sooo many extensions!
Cool! That car is pretty nice haha
Take a shot everytime he says "hai".

episode 2 came out too!! Pretty good:) Dont like how keisuke and ryosuke look now though:S
Damn thats good for first time
i

Im not a fan of v8 swaps but dai's car is so sweet !
they started making it when gt5 came out

Yes!!! Gunsai touge!!!! ITS A MUST!!!
Its funny because in english and any other language we have multiple words for yes like ok, alright, I understand etc. Then you hear japanese talking and Hai, hai ,hai, hai :D
Guys got alot of friends who must keep walking past....
BOW TO UR SENSEI!!!!
that is one sweet ass car
That is a ridiculous throttle response. How much power do these things make? Turbocharged?
*Endures drifting induced crash* I WAS JUST SAYING HI!!!!!!
I want an interview with kamui kobayashi and kaz yamaouchi
Didn't even pass the simple accel & brake test LOL.
go for it
山内さん きたぁあああああああああああああ
That engine sound...

YES
若いな山内さん…
いまはドリフトできるようになったのかな?
YOUR turn....what do you MEAN you didn't know o_O? [now stab that throttle fool!]
Haha, Im watching Episode 2 right now.
one does not simply create a race game without racing it first
hay.. hay... hay!
Come on guys best racing game ever? I am a big fan if Race SIMS not racing games and I must say that personally forza and GT series have never had good physix. But hopefully the new gen of sims coming like Project cars will be a big jump like Simraceway and the Raceon series

カッコイイ!!!
Kaz, give us Dai's S13 in GT5 or GT6 !!! pleeeeeaaaaasseeeeeee
does this car have straight cut gears?
don't worry guy's its the same as GT5
Seriously, right? I run Nurburgring all day and it's fun but Gunsai Touge would be way better. It does make sense because I'm assuming every fanboy out there has watched Keiichi Tsuchiya and his buds drive there.
well his English is ok but I do like him speaking his native language
YES!! and if you do please integrate brake fade as well for those children that think they will woop ya in a GTR on the downhill :DDDD
Mad.
Yeahhh!!! 🚘💨💨💨
More like some real life touge tracks! Mt Akina?! Oh and a track creator that actually let's you create tracks instead of throwing random ones at you.
Daijirou Yoshihara?
i wonder if they're working on a new one with a Nissan V8 in it like Chris Forsbergs 370Z
I might pick up drifting cuz idk what else to do with all my money...
15 hai in one minute D:
That's how Japanese says "Yes"
Well im sure he was playing game in developing time.
It's supposed to be an Arcade style racing game...not a sim like GT5.
There hasn't been an update for a long LONG time so it's likely it won't happen....
what watch is that?
dai's car is fvckin sexy as hell!!!!!!!
