- Welcome Gardeners to my very first Garden Q&A. Over the past few months many of you have asked me various questions about my garden, method of watering, plants I am growing, pollinators and more. So today I am finally answering some of your questions! Garden Happy is a small space garden located in California zone 9b featuring garden decor and whimsical charm.
I really enjoyed making this video and would LOVE to make another Q&A for June! I'm like you Liz, I like to keep it simple. I don't have drip irrigation and I hand water everything. I think you have a beautiful garden and I love and appreciate all your videos. I have no gardening friends so watching your videos tricks my brain into thinking I have a gardening friend. Have a blessed day!
Awww you are so sweet! I sincerely appreciate your kind words, encouragement, and support. I guess there are still a lot of us who do hand watering the old-fashioned way. Keeping it simple is actually easier in my book. Can you imagine how hard that would be if you set up a drip irrigation and then something went wrong and you’d have to go back and fix it all. No thank you. That sounds like more hassle and work to me. Hahaha Do you have a garden club in your area? Most cities have garden clubs that would be such an awesome way for you to collaborate with other gardeners. Your entire garden ( shade garden too ) is gorgeous!
I also water my garden manually. I find it relaxing and gives me an opportunity to see the plant 🪴 progress up close.
BTW:if people ask questions that are too personal, don’t feel the need to explain yourself, something’s are private/ personal and your are aloud to not feel pressured to address those questions 🙃

Hi, Liz. Thank you for the tour and frank answers. This is my first year growing hostas. Thank you for the reminder that they will go dormant. Also, I have an ICU in my garden- where plants go for a little extra TLC. Once they recover, they go back on display. 🐦🐦🐦

Hi Liz - I am a hand waterer too, this year I got a soft hose because rolling up the heavy hose got to be too much - everything is coming so alive and beautiful here 🎉❤your garden seems big because you utilize every part of it, surrounding yourself in flower wonderland 💖 from Andrea 😊see you next time

Wow Liz your garden is huge compared to mine. But watching you I have created small gardens spaces for the tiny spaces I can use. I named them all. On my Wall Garden space is a sign that says "garden happy " with a little poem. All thanks to you 😊. I watch a lot of RUclips garden videos but I find that you best inspire me based on my situation and your attitude. ❤ Keep up the good work 👏

That was very interesting. I was wondering about the garage space too. So nice that Duke and Daisy came back to live with you. It sounds like you have a great roommate arrangement. My question is if you go ahead and put a tree in your front yard,what kind will it be?

Oh I am so sorry I did not answer this question I get alot of my doors at yard sales. The bathtubs I bought at a flea market for $50.00 which is a pretty good price considering they came out of a hotel in S.F. And other stuff I get at the thrift store. . . I LOVE bargains! hahaha

@@GardenHappy Liz always makes my heart good hearing from you my dear!! It's been cool here this morning and was only to get in upper 70s today but it's sunny :) I went around to look at flowers at few cemeteries where family is at! Then stopped by and brought home some lunch :) I remember in video doesn't take long to water your plants haha anyway have a good day at work, stay safe and be careful and sweet as well!!

Good morning Faye the yellow flower to my right is a chrysanthemum. That is one of the plants I bought at the floral department for $.50 where I work. I can’t believe how tall it grew and it’s actually flowering right now. I thought chrysanthemums only bloomed in the fall. 😄Liz
