I don't think you can really use the argument about contracts to say Sydney players are thinking about individual success over team ethos when, this year alone, a third of the players have all signed less fortunate contracts to remain in the team long term.

    A Premiership team doesn't lose 5 from 6 and suffer a 112 pt belting.

Teams watched the tape and figured them out. When one team beats the leader, everyone takes notes and tries to apply the same strategy.

Not many premiership teams lose five out of six games and get thrashed by 112 points.

I think, Sydney needs more tall players, and bigger body around the ground. Definitely, the size of the defence is a big issue.

As a long standing swans lover and a long time kane hater, i hate to say that hes right, the individual performaces became more important than the team objective, as a man who has watched all the games this season, Will hayward (my fav player) is a prime example of this, he had a day out and kicked a bumch of goals on the team merrit halfway through the season, since his day out he has been quiet because he isnt using the team he wants to do it all himself

I wonder if some kind of Wayne Carey cheating scandal has split the Swans playing group. It just doesn't make any sense how a team can be so hungry and dominant and fall away so badly! Something internally at that club is not right!🤔

Couple injuries mixed with every team doing their homework on how to stop you can also do this. There is probably more to it as even so the drop away shouldn't be as substantial as it is.

If collingwood can beat Sydney in Sydney its going to be difficult for them to regain the quality that got them onto the top of the table tbh its a toss of a coin.

Not defending Sydney, but this type of take from Kingy is so lazy and easy. Typical clickbait take. No one is inside the 4 walls. Could be simpler and deeper reasons for their form. He wasn’t making these type of “theyre chasing Brownlows, AAs, contracts” when they were winning. He was all in on Sydney lol. Maybe their system is found out? Players burnt out? Internal drama?

I believe it is definitely internal, but as professional of an outfit the swans are it is only a matter of time until they bounce back. Don’t write us off yet we have made a history of being the underdog 2005 and 2012 says it all.

Add North Melbourne in 1983. They finished top of the ladder despite one of the losses was a 150 point loss to Fitzroy in a 1st (NM) vs 2nd (Fitz) battle in Round 13 that year.
They will lose in straight sets in the finals to Hawthorn (40 points 2nd semi) and Essendon (86 points Perliminary Final)
