Madrid are absolutely electric to watch going forward with Mbappe, Vini, Rodrygo, and Bellingham. But they are far too wide open in transition in the midfield and constantly leaving their back line completely exposed. Aside from losing a player like Kroos who knew how to control and dictate the tempo of matches, the biggest problem I see with Madrid is they are constantly committing everyone forward. It’s like they only know one mode and that’s kamikaze, everyone commit forward mode. It’s incredibly entertaining to watch but their midfield is all over the place trying to stay connected between their attacking players and back line.

We are playing for 7 competitions this season. Don Carlo knows what he's doing. Can't play high intensity for full 90 mins when we play 3 games in one week.

Real M. needed to put 2 men up front, relying on Mbappe wasn’t going to work. Vini. Jr. is more effective as a left winger rather than more of a right midfielder. He definitely has the energy to play on both sides of the field, as he showed when he dribbled about 60 yards and scored without help. Having Vini. and Mbappe up front allows Bellingham, Vasquez, Rodrygo, etc. to come in from behind to help. The lineup worked perfectly in this game. They’re great for such a young team.

Bellingham must not lose hope and focus on scoring only…You can also be Legend by directing the play without scoring and still be important to a team like Real Madrid, see Toni Kroos. He did not score much but scored when needed it the most or passes the most important ball in the game….

Real Madrid:
GK: Courtois - 6 (not too busy in the 2nd half but apart from the goals made nice saves)
RB: Vazquez - 6 (bad defensively but made up for it with a great winner)
CB: Militao - 5 (did nothing special and times didn't even see him)
CB: Rudiger - 7 (nullified Dortmund in the 2nd half and great header)
LB: Mendy - 4 (bullied down the left by Malen and Ryerson)
RM: Rodrygo - 5 (Vini and Mbappe completely stole the attacking show from him)
CM: Valverde - 6 (did well in controlling play in the 2nd half)
CM: Modric - 6 (same as Valverde, and more progressive but less accurate)
LM: Bellingham - 5 (did nothing in midfield apart from that near-offside assist)
ST: Mbappe - 7 (nothing in the first half but chemistry with Vini set alight in the 2nd)
ST: Vinicius - 10 (his hattrick and bullying display more than shows he's a big game player)
Borussia Dortmund:
GK: Kobel - 5 (summed up by conceding 5 goals, though only 2 or so I blame him for)
RB: Ryerson - 6 (Sahin wanted him forward, and he did it decently successfully)
CB: Schlotterbeck - 3 (highlight was only letting everyone get past him to score)
CB: Sule - 4 (looked really disorganized late on)
LB: Bensebaini - 4 (seemed to have the same disorganization problems as Sule)
DM: Sabitzer - 6 (did his best on both ends, the defense let him down)
DM: Nmecha - 6 (Dortmund closely won the midfield battle for the majority of the game)
RM: Malen - 8 (1 goal and 1 assist, Dortmund's attack really struggled since his sub)
AM: Brandt - 6 (created many chances, but late on misread all his defensive actions)
ST: Guirassy - 7 (put his shots on goal and got an assist despite limited service)
LM: Bynoe-Gittens - 6 (was decent and got a goal)
Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the UCL is a diff beast, Ballon d'or Vini was outstanding
As good as vini played, Dortmund were awful in the second half, that sub and mindset destroyed them.
The sub and formation change right after half was so f**king stupid. And as sooooon as Emre Can came on I knew the game was over.

It was Mbappé who assisted Rudiger for the first goal. The reflected ball was heading to Mbappé for Vasquez's goal. The only goal Mbappé wasn't involved in, in one way or another was the 5th goal which was a brilliant show from Vini Jr.

Madrid are absolutely electric to watch going forward with Mbappe, Vini, Rodrygo, and Bellingham. But they are far too wide open in transition in the midfield and constantly leaving their back line completely exposed. Aside from losing a player like Kroos who knew how to control and dictate the tempo of matches, the biggest problem I see with Madrid is they are constantly committing everyone forward. It’s like they only know one mode and that’s kamikaze, everyone commit forward mode. It’s incredibly entertaining to watch but their midfield is all over the place trying to stay connected between their attacking players and back line.

We are playing for 7 competitions this season. Don Carlo knows what he's doing. Can't play high intensity for full 90 mins when we play 3 games in one week.
It's not easy to play this high intensity week in and week out. The team is trained like that, it's only in the CL and when their chasing the game then the team go into overdrive
Dortmund really thought they could park the bus against Madrid by subbing in Emre Can in the second half to control but it only backfired. You can't park the bus against Madrid.
Real M. needed to put 2 men up front, relying on Mbappe wasn’t going to work. Vini. Jr. is more effective as a left winger rather than more of a right midfielder. He definitely has the energy to play on both sides of the field, as he showed when he dribbled about 60 yards and scored without help. Having Vini. and Mbappe up front allows Bellingham, Vasquez, Rodrygo, etc. to come in from behind to help. The lineup worked perfectly in this game. They’re great for such a young team.
