cut immigration and students back to mid 2000s levels.
And shrink the size of government.
how about early 1950's levels
Increase immigration and student visas but make sure students have a place to live and build more apartments. Trudeau must be re-elected. REM!
What about capitalism? Any critiques of that system's integrity?
@@busterbiloxi3833 go back to India
"International students" literally have videos explaining how to exploit this system for free food. This isn't breaking news
Rather sickening.☹
Indias right?
That’s nonsensical. How many international students live in remote cities? What’s their population?
The elephant in the room is lobbying and monopoly just like any other industry in Canada
Saw that. Never donating to a food bank ever after seeing that.
I haf to go to the food bank just today, i was born and raised in this shithole country
Bringing more millions of international students who are exploiting the system, what do you expect.
What about questioning capitalism and if it is at all a structurally sustainable system that we should continue?
Racist piglet!
@@coolioso808 Its not about capitalism, its the policy that the Liberal government has placed.
@@coolioso808this isn't capitalism. If capitalism was being allowed to properly run, this wouldn't even be happening
The way to address food insecurity is to send more money to Ukraine.
And tho se ge no ci drrs in the ME
@@TheUntaintedTrebletry that in English
Yes and hike taxes in order to change the weather, that’ll put food on the table.
Not related bud duely noted.
Correct. If Ukraine losses the war, then it means other countries have to take in millions of refugees permanently. Moreover, these refugees are women, elderly and children as the men stayed behind which puts a greater strain on Canada's support per person.
Unfortunately, we have some international students misusing the food banks, even bragging, making videos about "how to get free food in Canada"
Ive seen tinted m
Bmws with rims picking up 6 plus bags of food
More then just them
Yup. I definitely won't ever give to a foodbank now that I know that
We need to send them back
Yeah, its those foreigners fault! Not lack of competition and corporate monopoly power.
Get a grip.
New comers lining up. Driving new cars, 1500 phones, rent free and showing up... Just go there for yourselfs.
Ask this to your government Lib Cons and any party. Stop voting.
Thanks Liberals!
Social issues like this fall on the shoulders of the provincial governments, not the feds.
@svenjohnson2389 So, every province caused this issue at the same time?
@@svenjohnson2389it is called carbon tax !!
And Cons and any.
More international students to steal from foodbanks should fix it 😅
How can a country with the natural resources of Canada and such a tiny population have food problems ? A corrupt supply chain that’s how !
Support local farming and avoid major supermarket chains like Loblaws and don’t ever be dependent on the government !
Facts
Local farmers to sell their food an ridiculous prices. You should if you are able but if you can't afford it then you cant
So many here to drain our systems...So many don't even try , if you haven't learnt English or at least enough to get you by, within 2 years of being here could help in finding work .
Companies like Loblows have exclusive supplier contracts in exchange for paying a higher rate. If they find out a supplier provided grocery items to a competition, then supplier risks losing loblaws' business. To start a competitor means you have to build your own supply chain from scratch which is often expensive due to economics of scale.
@@mariahsj689 They sell it at thay rate, due to costs, think of the costs to grow food, then how much they are taxed on the income they make. Considering we get raped on our paycheques you can imagine what its like.
Raise taxes - it’ll make weather better!
I've been saying that for years.
No, we need to bring in more doctors, scientists, lawyers and engineers from the 3rd world prisons to start inventing things to solve all of our problems.
🤣😂🤣😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Everyone is having food issues in Canada. It's very expensive.
sometimes it’s pay bills skip meals a lot are struggling
Oh, yes indeed. Filet mignon and lobster are so expensive, dahlings!
Why donate to a food bank if its just going to international students and TFW and not the canadian citizens who need it most.
Uhhhh, why doesn't everyone just use their carbon tax rebate to buy more food? That'll fix it. Durrrrr
lol or cancel Disney - 😂
A honest ad from the liberal party. We at the liberal/NDP party are going to tax you lowering your standards of living using behavioral controlled taxes to modify your status as citizens to peasants and owning nothing
That's if your lucky enough to get a carbon rebate, plus it's not all that much.
@@marischwab6771well, I wouldn’t call it “lucky” 😂 it means you make a decent income. I make $60,000 gross and got it but I have a 16 year old. If you didn’t get it, you clearly make well over $60,000 a year
Let's add it all up in case anyone doesn't know how we got here:
- Mass importation of cheap labor from poor countries
- Rampant offshoring / outsourcing of Canadian jobs
- Bloated and wasteful government bureaucracy
- Sky-high house/land prices and government policies/tax structures designed to keep them high
- Government-funded and tax-incentivized Canadian corporate monopolies/oligopolies
- Extremely high taxes at all levels on formerly "middle-income" earners
The financial pain that Canadians are feeling right now was an inevitable outcome. Government and corporate policies have been trending towards this for decades it's just now reaching a breaking point. The real solutions to these issues are generally extremely politically unpopular, that's why governments are just chipping away at the edges of a problem that requires structural change.
LINE GO UP!
I’m a veteran using the food bank
Thank you for your service
I'm sure there's a bunch of you guys there
you fight for a country just for that country to show gratitude by sending you to the bank....oof
I’m a banker using veterans!
Gather up the vets....demand change!
Thanks Trudeau
Thank Capitalism.
I'm 61, disabled and can only afford to eat once a day.
Please use the Foodbank and local church pantries. You deserve to eat.
Where are you located?
@@tenthousanddaysofgratitude Don't be ridiculous. 😅Foodbanks give you about 4 days worth of food and are only open once every 2 weeks.
I am on disability so eating only once a day is a necessary survival strategy to prevent becoming homeless.
This is truly sad. Government must do something about it..
@KumariKumari-fw7nc They are doing their best to eliminate the middle class. What more can they do?
Plenty of money for other countries though 🤦♂️
More farms, more food manufacturing companies in every province to compete with the monopoly Owners, more canadian made food. You are more likely eating American beef in canada than Canadian beef Unless you buy the Canada certified AAA beef which costs are absurd.
Support your local farms!
They are even more costly then Loblaws or walmart.
Farmer's Markets have been going on for decades. Why haven't they worked to shift the Monopoly forces from the big grocery chains? Does the system of capitalism and how it works have any critiques from you? Would you propose any changes?
Can’t afford to !!
@@coolioso808
@@kellismith4329 That's what capitalism does, structurally. Make local choices less affordable that globalized corporate choices.
Unless we swap that dynamic through cooperation, collaboration and co-ownership we are not going to see much improvement. At least One Small Town Contributionism communities are doing something in towns around the world.
I have an ex friend whose family has been using food banks for decades, she said why buy the food if you can get it for free.
She mentioned it one day, I’m wondering how many are taking advantage well others starve
I once knew of an over-entitled moron with a full-time job who kept a box by her desk for her coworkers to feel guilty and fill every week at a stable time in economy, etc and the dumdum coworkers actually did it.
...And here i am reading news about RECORD profits for grocery chains + new aid packages for Ukraine/Israel. Something is very wrong here.

@@EyeSee4.8 I'm not a journalist, so I can't say for sure. But, I suspect it's not reported on much, like homelessness, addiction and other social ills, because it's not a 'sexy' story. The numbers are so high now, though, that is hard to avoid talking about it
@@IrritatedBird That's a great answer. Thank you. I rarely get answers to my questions like this. 100% RESPECT. All the best to you and your family.
The food you get isn't great either. Most is bad or going bad
Got stale cereal once that was a year past expiry. It was degrading. I threw it out, they expected me to feed that to my child? I think the foodbank situation is even worse than what they are portraying. If they didn’t give out expired food would there even be enough for all of those in need?
This is the food they're donated to "eliminate" food waste.
Please donate think of the families with children who really need this food , and for those who is taking advantage of this resource, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Earlier today there was a news channel that reported that inflation is 2.7 😂
We are the carbon
Criminal printing money, and sending it to the Land of Pierogies makes it so you can't afford a bag of cheap pierogies.
Who needs food when you have sunny ways.
So sunny. Waze.
There’s a solution, keep bringing in hundreds of thousands of both legal and illegal immigrants. Trust those “experts”!
Sounds like its time for another tax or a money giveaway to help sew the crisis deeper

Gee I really hope there isn't a group of Indian PR hopefuls making loads of videos on how to exploit food banks for 'free food'
More vetting - too much abuse going on - lots of food to go around !
In 30 years living here (my whole life) ive never struggled as hard as we are now. My kids and i would starve without food bank and help from parents. And sometimes still do. I hope Justin Trudeau and doug ford are enjoying their gourmet meals.
Canada needs a federal election now!
Canada is in dire straits!👎🏻👎🏻
The Governor General must do her job to protect the citizens and call a election now!
My local food bank is 100% Indian/Bengali (Danforth/Midland). But diversity.
Racist piglet!
Canada’s problems are embarrassing considering our land mass, recourses and population…
Pure incompetence
Maybe grocery stores and restaurants should stop throwing out their food
A lot of them have - at one time they were barred from donating it. I see in a few of our local grocery stores where they have bagged up fresh fruits and vegies that are aging but still okay to eat at a fraction of the cost. If you have a freezer, you can chop up some of the vegies to freeze for a soup or stir fry later, its a little thing but it can go a long way with a little creativity.
I know on the west coast the provinces made it so stores had to donate their old products instead of throwing them out. The cities got together and banned it because they didnt want to encourage the homeless.
Just as KlausAnalSchwab ordered!
I sense more money coming for Ukraine and israel😅
It’s not even going to either of them, all of that money is embezzled and redistributed to other pockets before it even gets there

Imagine...Quebec being the top province in this department. The province that always wants to seperate from Canada...Shocking
Trudeau’s Canada.
You can thank Trudeau for this with his wacko carbon tax
EXACTLY!! 110% CORRECT!!
Trudeau better get his priorities straight.
Every penny the carbon tax increases causes more inflation. You voted for this?
Meanwhile grocery stores are having record profits....Keep boycotting Loblaws. Maybe add Metro to the list. Also stay away from Walmart and other American companies. Most of their profits leave the country and are not put back into the system causing inflation.
Corporations don't cause inflation. Governments do.
I have to shop at Loblaws. They are the cheapest around
@@willt2036 Too bad, GT are everywhere. sucks you don't have one.
The government could help but Trudeau would rather send $$$$$ to fund war when Canadians sure could use it. Just saying.
There was abundant free organic food everywhere before colonization. And there was free energy and advanced infrastructure and all those big old beautiful fancy buildings.
As of Confederation you had to be a farmer to come to Canada.
New leadership desperately needed in Ottawa
And yet Trudeau keeps making everything go up in price!!!!
Taxes and taxes and more taxes !
Stop making it easier to live without working. Increasing taxes on those who work to pay for those who want more entitlements is not the way. Why do you think things are getting worse?
They know how ro expploit everythjng except their own govenments
Maybe if Trudeau would focus on the country instead of lining his own pockets
The more Justin Weasel spends, the worse things get.
Immigration is great isn't it.....
I am an immigrant until became a Canadian citizen myself and having this social services should not be exploited. I think there should be change of policy when it comes to it’s beneficiaries. Only for permanent residents and citizens who needs it. Temporary residents are expected to support themselves (from own pocket) while inside the country otherwise leave.
Trudeau insiders need to concern themselves with hard times. Remember the military has recently been recruited to maintain order.
But hasnt Trudeau also famously kneecapped the military and cut their funding dramatically? Idk how you can really point to that as him somehow coercing the military for his own purposes.
Corrupt supply chain, millions of 'students' working 80 hour weeks and taking advantage of these systems after not reporting their cash income...
... What's wrong!?
The fact that Quebec is doing better then anywhere else, tells me that our illustrious criminister knows how to look after "his" ppl.
More like nobody actually wants to live in Quebec. All the international students are going elsewhere because ...well, Quebec
It's more that most immigrants don't speak french, but they know some english.
Thank a liberal 😂
If only the government could print food, 1/10th of how fast they print money.... there would be lots of food.
I more or less stopped donating food for humans because of the alleged scammers, but I will still continue to donate pet food because pets don't choose to be on the poverty line and pets don't get to choose their owners... 😒
Shame on Canada. The government needs to control the greed of the supermarkets. Price control program on supermarkets. Control the price of necessary items.
They already do that, which is part of the problem.
They already did that.
Ever wonder why your dairy products are so expensive, and they say don’t cry over spilled milk when that’s exactly what they force dairy farmers to do, dump thousands of gallons of milk

I remember Trudeau saying that everything in Canada was great under his government.
Trudeau: we can fix everything by funding more of my scandals. Thank you canadians for funding my arrivecan scandal, WE scandal, snc lavelin scandal, loblaws scandal and much more to come. I only got a few billion dollars but i need more for my friend Crystia Freeland
$16 BILLION IN ANNUAL FOREIGN AID IS JUST ONE REASON FOR THIS.
Mr.Speakerrr , OMFG
Monopoly and lobbying, those are the problems
But government interference is the ultimate problem.
@@shauncameron8390but government interference in the exact opposite way is the solution isnt it? You cant really take all government out of the economy and expect the monolithic corporations whove entrenched themselves thanks to political interference to somehow come to their senses and give any room for smaller companies. Canadians have insatiable desire for food.
The only solution is that Trudeau and Freeland must tax groceries and force Canadians to eat less and work more
I can't afford to feed myself and 2 kids. Well I should say I can't afford anything but rent and food
Let’s keep sending money to Israel instead of working on the crisis at home

It's simple: supply and demand. Poverty: no kidding cupcake.
Td dude and others like him the reason
What are the grades based on?
how can they not afford to pay for food but they can afford to send 90 billion to ukraine? something is very fishy here.
Financial sabotage and corruption - this is all as intended right after the great "deadly pandemic" and shutting down the world and all its manufacturing/distributing for nearly two years, extortion-like tax scams "carbon tax" and the removal of rent control.
Rent control exacerbated the housing crisis.
This is all the prime ministers fault.
The Prime Minister has the priorities all messed up.
Increase carbon taxes. That should quiet the rabble down and let them know who is in charge.

And I heard a voice from among the four living beings say, “A loaf of wheat bread or three loaves of barley will cost a day’s pay.* And don’t waste* the olive oil and wine.” ~ Revelation 6:6
I do not use food banks because I'd rather be hungry than do dishes, even washing a butter knife is often too much to get me to make PB&J, I wait until I can't wait any longer, because I would rather be hungry than do dishes.
Everything food banks have requires making, then washing, dishes.
I eat one meal a day, lunch, sometimes I eat supper, if I've clean utensils plates/bowls/pot or pan.
This is because I cannot afford to pay someone to wash my dishes and because I can only afford one fast food trip a day. For the record, $9.04 for a 12" sub, split over two days for lunch is affordable. The $2.75 can of soup for supper, is not affordable, and it does not sate the hunger that is ever present. The $1.95 PB&J is affordable, if bread is on sale.
I'd go on, but really, what I want to say is, Conservatives are evil for "inspiring" slavery by any other name and Canada needs a national living or basic income.
It needs it yesterday.
Edit: whoever reported this has skin thinner than an atom.
