- SPOILERS for Critical Role's (The Legend Of) Vox Machina season 1.
I did my best to recreate the original Percy reveal in the prison, but I wish I could have done better with Cassandra's little rant.
After almost a year, I'm back; guess I needed the time off. Two down, one to go; and then we'll see what season two will bring...
Sucks, the pepperbox didn't get to taste the briarwoods blood
Percy did get a shot or two into Delilah Briarwood
@D Short
And one in Silas…but it was immediately healed
@@dshort4670 true but as we saw it wasn't enough to satisfy the demon
@@dshort4670 this sounds very wrong without the context

Cassandra: "So, you're going to kill your own sister?"
Percy: 'You were just actively trying to kill me and all my friends!'
In defense of Cass, she was under the Briarwood’s control so she isn’t completely at fault
Plus, Percy was being manipulated by Orthax as well so he didn’t had control of his own actions either
I was disappointed Matt didn't push Taliesin harder about having Cassandra on his list against his will. It would've been more dramatic if he had to face some kind of quandary but that problem didn't inconvenience him at all.
Imagine he didnt hesitiate, he stands over her, not Cassandra de Rolo but Cassandra Briairwood "I watched my sister die years ago you are a poor imitation"
percies story was already a coockie cutter "revenge bad" one. Completely unsatisfying to watch. Matt pushing more for that would have made it unwatchable
@@texteel It wasn't "revenge bad", it was more about his obsession. No one in that cast had any doubts that the Briarwoods and their agents had to die, but Percy was under the influence of a foreign entity that fed off of that anger and wouldn't let him stop. The demonic manifestation of his OBSESSION with vengeance is why they couldn't risk him being the one to kill Delilah. Revenge isn't the problem, the big smoky demon is the problem.
@drunkasaur Talesin said at one point, he figured once he cleared the list, either a new group of names would appear (vengance is a never ending circle), or his own would (when you plot vengance, dig two graves). So it honestly was a viable option.
@@negate3 this is pretty much a hard confirmation that all of percy's story is "revenge bad"
I feel bad for percy
Who in the entire fandom doesn’t😢
@@Karlz1212 lol so true👍
shoulda used the google pixel magic audio eraser to get the voices with no music.
Shame after first season percy is a dead character, without demon and vengeance he is not interesting.
His family feud was concluded and the crisis resolved. Every character of Vox Machina is a protagonist and a supporting character in their own right. There's nothing wrong with a character's role switching to that of a supportive mentor or ally
@@notsocrazytank707 agreed love the show and the characters. Although I was expecting to see some further lingering effects and symptoms in Percy after all that. Like him trying to deal with PTSD since he did see his family get killed and he was tortured. Like we get some scenes of his scars, more nightmares, the others reactions to his scars and them supporting him.
They should bring his demon back up again
wait
THERE ARE MORE
Technically, he still has Anna Ripley to deal with, who is also making guns and is a foil to his character.
