I learned today that muscles develop more when stretched than they do when contracted. Body builders talk about this. Presumably this applies to the embouchure muscles as well.
Hi. I got mine online from Thomann. It cost around £25 plus transport cost. So it is not cheap. But be aware that your embouchure will develop naturally over time as you play the saxophone, so you may not need it. It might be better to put the money towards a better mouthpiece. Thanks
@@VirgilioEvangelisti Hi. www.thomann.co.uk/u_trainer_u_trainer_woodwind.htm. If you go to thomann .co.uk and type in U trainer in the search bar it will come up with different types of products of this. But there would probably be a website that sells it closer to you. Thanks.
Someone struggling with embouchure from missing front tooth what is better a double or single lip embouchure? I haven't played in years and want to get back to a good embouchure. Advice?
Hi. Thanks for the question. Each type of embouchure works well. It is just a matter of which is more comfortable and produces the best results for the player. Having a mouthpiece patch would reduce the vibrations and make playing more comfortable. If it is just one missing front upper tooth, then I would choose a single lip embouchure. But if there is discomfort then know that some play the saxophone without any upper teeth contact using their lips only. You will have to experiment until you find an approach which works best for you.
Hi. I don't have a link but there are various websites that sell the product. I got mine from Thomann UK but there are other sites selling the product. Just be aware that playing the saxophone regularly will strengthen your embouchure without this. Thanks
Hi. I got mine from Thomann UK which cost £22.50 plus shipping. I bought mine along with some other products which saved on the shipping cost. Your embouchure will naturally get better the more you play your instrument. You should think about whether you will use it regularly or whether it will stay on the shelf with other gadgets. Thanks for the comment.
Hi. You are right. Your embouchure will develop over time by playing the instrument. This product is for those who don't want to wait years to have a strong embouchure and want to do some exercises to quicken the process. Thanks for the comment.
@@Saxcomprehensive I guess that makes sense for a quicker build up within a few months but after that if one doesn't play regularly enough to maintain an embouchure strong, they won't go very far in learning the instrument anyway.

Thank you very much!
Good day,

Hi. Thanks for your support as usual.
Where can I order this?
Hi. I got mine online from Thomann but I'm sure other online companies sell it. It is expensive for what it is though. Thanks
How much ?

Can't we just play the instrument to build up an embouchure? Seems like a product looking for a problem to solve.

May be helpful when you’re away from your instrument (work, waiting area, etc) and want to spend waiting time building.
