For £5 of PLA filament and the cost of the downloaded STL files...if you have a 3D printer...this is a cost effective way to build your next RC EDF jet. Fantastic !

Flew great, I guess you could make your own plane design and print to fly. 👍🏻
Some skilled folks do that. Its a growing part of the hobby.
Yeah that is the future of the RC hobby. Thanks for the 3D plane link Dom.
No problem 👍
Flying is really cool
Printed both tailed versions of this model and can say I like them very much and was pleasantly surprised at how well it flew considering the little 50mm EDF. I wish the designer made it to take a 64mm EDF as it could probably be done without enlarging the fuselage itself.
I fly off tarmac so the wheels worked great and be ready because she really wants to float and will slow down more than you think without stalling. The v-tail looks cooler but I think the straight tail might fly just a bit better IMO (maybe just a tiny bit more solid feel but that could just be my own imaginings lol).
The T tail will fly better. V tails can't knife edge. Essential to good aerobatics 😉
Nice speed and size for a 50mm edf.👍
Congrats on the first ever printed plane landing without it breaking apart. 😂🍺
I got a Sidewinder printer for doing this, and got discouraged by the massive print times and videos of repeated failures. It's still great for printing camera mounts! lol
Well done.
Excellent flight and landing... nicely done. Which EDF did you use?
Printed this on my P1S.
I crashed mine at the maiden in flight. I pulled too hard and one wing flipped. The main spar is just pla - I will put some carbon in next print.
And yes - it takes some time to print, but you don't need to watch it all time. I print a lot over night and receive a fresh plane-part next morning.
Have had decent luck with Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro printer. Great bang for the buck IMO.
4S LiPo?
How slow will it go?
Very slow from what I saw
Would it work as a trainer lol. Haven't flown fixed wing rc in 20 years or so. Been fly fpv drones for the past 3 years.
@@1969jfp EDF jets are far from ideal for getting back into fixed wing flying. Best to use something slower like a high wing model. e.g. FMS PA-18
dont get the k1 shit
Scale it up to 121% an a 64mm edf fits an flys great.
I'm going to game to try this out!
Nice gonna try that still use 9g servos or something different?
12g in the wings , 9g works also just have to sim abit.
