My native is Nilgiris. I can see drastic change in climate now when comparing it before couple of years. There is a dam near my native which is dry now. I don't remember it was dry earlier in my lifetime. No water in many of the areas in Nilgiris. Temperature went to 29 degree celcius this year after 73 years.

Ooty flower show starts on 17 th may goes till 22 nd may more crowd n traffic is expected on these days, immediately the next day 23 rd may The Lawrence school will be celebrating their 166 th founders day for 3 days which also attracts quite a lot of crowd n vehicles and finally most of the boarding schools in Ooty including Lawrence school, Good shepherd, Laidlaw school n for almost all schools their monsoon vacation starts so lot of logistics happens during this particular week to pickup kids for their vacation from various part of our country. Saddest part is activities of native people of Ooty is affected badly bcoz of hectic traffic.

There's a very simple solution for this PLANT AND MAINTAIN MORE TREES IN EVERY TOWN AND CITY it definitely will help very much. Lately a lot of trees has been cut down. In my town Palani very old huge trees have been cut down in the last 3-5 years and now there are no trees in the town now.

Hi I live in Belgium, Europe. The problem here is most of the house hold's 90+% don't have AC's as the electricity charges are extremely high here, but now a days they are trying to install AC's in more houses but again the govt is trying to reduce that because it causes more pollution. Since this is north europe we have extremely high temps only in July and august that too between July 10 and August 20th the temp touches almost 40 and without AC at that temp is torturous! I remember visiting ooty in 2009-2010 and use to pay like 2500 per night at most comfortable hotels!
