Your first few jobs will be a worrie, but you find your feet and gain confidence the more you do the jobs.welldone ,much different from a work shop training to the real jobs where wells not straight or bad fixings .
Instead of grommet strip I've been using rubber car edge protective trim. A bit more robust, comes in a few sizes. Better for rounded corners so I usually take out a few knock-outs and link then together with a disc cutter with a thin cutting disc.
Well young fellow I live in Australia now - originally from Sussex and am really pleased to see that you are now on your own and doing well and am impressed by your level of professionalism - a quality sadly missed in a lot of the generation you are from, from what I gather is badly missed in others your age both in the UK and Australia. Keep it up and I wish you all the best for the future.
Great video. I would suggest put clips in for conduit first then back it up to trunking and drill it out. Think you will find it quicker and easier. Great work
Sometimes things don’t go to plan, I’ve just done a small job and one of the double socket is faulty , So have to go back and change it, . Great job Adam ⚡️👊 😊
Very nice installation, Adam. Even though some things didn't go exactly as you planned, the corrections you implemented looked good and, more importantly, were safe. Who could ask for anything more. Good on you. I'm sure the customer will be right chuffed.
How does the verso compare to other brands its not a brand ive used beofre ? Ive always installed Wylex but the last year ive been installing fusebox with RCBO £10 plus vat
Yea I like fusebox also it’s similar to verso bower I prefer the earth bar and neutral bar and shell of the verso hood thing is they both competitively priced and the verso has a range of accessories
@@AdamDunlopElectrical I’ll have to try it see how it goes, I think Wylex is still best for AFDD boards but I’ve not done many and with mostly working for letting agents the landlord always knows someone cheaper then get a call few months later saying can I do a EICR and it’s a new board they don’t have a cert for
I wouldn't be bothered about the armoured outside the trunking cctv cabling has definitely been done by diy dave the bodger P.s. Oh no he has struck again 😂😂
Adam is there anything you needed to do to start your business? How do you go about testing jobs? Napit or anything? Need the information as I’m wanting to start, thanks mate

Hello Adam you could have mounted the board on packers and gone back entry why dont the manufacturers make one so then fix to wall then mount the board to it i know wylex do one keep it simple thats what i say or just ask nick for his expertise.
Good job ad. It’s a lifetime of learning. The full verso range is hard to beat at the minute. It’s all we use
Nicee

I love your confidence when you are now describing work you do. You always knew what to do, but it was often “Nick is this ok”. All looking good.
Great point!

I'd have taken the switchgear out of the consumer unit before cutting... Metal filings are a pig
I would always take a 10 mm earth outside. If you ever need to bond anything then you are good.
