Hey guys, I wanted to address this as it has been bought up in the comments several times regarding the difficulty, and I agree…the settings here were too easy. This wasn’t my intention. As a new player, I wanted a solid “Project Zomboid” experience, but not so difficult that I could not learn the game's mechanics. As I am sure you are all aware, there were no traditional difficulty settings. On first impression, Apocalypse sounded like murder, Survival slightly less so, and Builder sounded too easy. In the end, I selected “Custom Game,” left everything on default, changed rear vulnerability to low, and checked weapon multi-hit. I chose these as they were recommended by a Reddit post and jumped in. On a positive note, this playthrough taught me a great deal about game mechanics. Rest assured, I will be doing another playthrough where I increase the zombie count substantially. On the negative side, some of this was a little disappointing. Especially when the house alarm went off, and literally one zombie came over. Or when I barricaded both my bases and never needed it once…*mental note* the default custom game settings are far too easy. Thanks for all the positive comments and advice thus far!
You made the most entertaining newbie experience of a game I've ever watched. If you've any questions I've played so much the past month I can speedrun, there's a lot of hidden mechanics and little tricks.
For your first runs ever in Project Zomboid, you did shockingly well! My first runs never even got past day one, let alone surviving until the helicopter event
@@ki2xler502 i found a nice quiet place in a dark bathroom with no windows when i heard the sound my first time since i already saw people mentioned to avoid it as much as possible. granted it took me a few characters dying before i even managed to get to that event as i was learning what to do.

Hey, veteran of 500 hours here, 1. You can use the trunk of the car to damage zombies. It breaks the trunk however. 2. I always use the loot run if I spawn in rosewood - Garages (Anywhere) Pick up hammer and screwdriver - Fire Station Pick up jacket and trousers and an axe - Police Station Dissasemble armory doors and profit. 3. Cabbages are the best food. Always grow em. You did really, really well for your first two playthroughs. Seriously. Most new players die within a day xD.
BBQ does not make damage to the player if u use them indoors, also it doesn't spread fire. BBQs are a good option for cooking without an oven, given that it consumes any type of wood, including scraps, or charcoal. Aside from that, don't use campfires inside, they spread fire in wooden floors. I don't remember if they harm you when indoors usage, but given that even u can catch fire from it, I personally don't recommend using it.

Definitely keep playing it even after many deaths! The beautiful thing about Zomboid is that the character doesn’t get stronger. You Do. Many many hours in and I’ve become a master of “Survivalism” learning how to survive with as little as I have. Definitely keep it up!
Loved the video! I thought I’d let you know it is possible to tow vehicles, to do it you park one car behind the other and walk up between them. Hold down V and if the positioning is correct then the option to attach one vehicle to the other will appear.
Great job man this video is amazing! Can't wait to see more of it! And don't worry about the difficulty settings, it's very customizable so it's quite easy to overlook a setting that might be beneficial in making it harder. All of your experiences with the game are just practice and progress so no worries, it'll pay off in the end.
I'm queued to watch the PZ vid you uploaded 16 hours ago and now I'm more excited to do so. I love your narrative! For someone who constantly watches gameplay (due to fright of playing), it felt so immersive and real. It's always good to have that first-time feeling when you play a game or do something. This was it. Looking forward for more PZ gameplay!

If you go in your inventory and drag the baseball bat or any other weapon into slot one you can equip it on your back so you don’t need to rush to your inventory. Also you can equip your hammer onto your Belt. Good video very entertaining :)
Nice play. You can plumb a sink to a water barrel above which gives you clean drinking water. It's a bit complicated at first but it's a great option once the water is turned off. To do it you need a plumbers wrench.
I love your videos, is original and different to common gameplays. I like how you narrate the stories, I really immerse into them. Keep doing it please!
You did amazing for your first couple of runs! It took me at least a week to get somewhat competent at the game. Some tips for the game, you can hotkey weapons to 1, 2, 3, etc... by clicking on them in your inventory and selecting "put on back", or "put in holster". If you put a flashlight on your belt you can even have in turned on without needing to hold it. Another tip for barricading your base, always barricade on the outside of your windows instead of the inside because it is easier to rebuild a barricade instead of replacing your window. I also recommend that, in the setting you can turn "hit outline" or something like that to always be on sinsted of set to just firearms. This will help you tell which zombie you are aiming at or trying to shove. I hope you enjoy the wonderful game that is zomboid!

You need to boil rainwater on the bbq using a cooking pot or saucepan for it to be safe. Or the easiest would be is to get water dispensers in offices/schools. You can refill those with boiled rainwater too. Or you can plumb a sink, one floor below from a water collector. Thats tricky since the water collector should be one floor above and one tile behind/front/side but not directly above the sink. Plumbed sink automatically filters the water so its safe to drink.
