I think that was a good decision to use the bandsaw, I have never had good luck with a parting tool on an interrupted cut. I have enough trouble just parting normal stuff. 😉 ! Finished item looks great 👍 !

I like the way you used 2 dowel pins to align the part to drill for the set screw. Bandsaw was a good call. 👍
