Little tech tip for ya. I carry a chopstick with me when panfishing. Cut a little "v" notch in the wider end. Great to get those deep hooks ups unhooked. They float, are biodegradable and weight next to nothing. Best part... they're free when you get your Chinese/Japanese food.
It is really fun catching bass even when they are just little guys. Just a different kind of fishing for sure. That will be one of my next upgrades to the new kayak is a Lowrance
I found this video very interesting and informative, could you do another video like this again in the future with how do you have this lowrance connected, with which battery, and do a closer view of your screen to see what you are seeing , I have a simple finder but half of the time I don’t know what I’m looking at, lol. Tight lines.👍
My first and second boat both had "fish finders" on them, but we always called them "fish liars". I used them mainly as depth finders. Now that I'm doing the kayak fishing I don't use a depth finder, as I'm always in fairly shallow water.
My brother, love your videos. I am about to purchase a new fish finder. Nothing too expensive for my hobie mirage outback. I always fish in saltwater. Jetty, by the beach, nothing too far. What would you recommend for me to get. Budget is around $250. 😁 All I really want is the depth and to see Fish clearly. Thanks 😎 keep up the great work 👍
I also just purchased a Hook 2 7X but it is not the same model as yours as I do not have split screen etc. I Do have Down Imaging and the Regular sonar. I have been trying to learn how to read it for about 3 months now. I Use it on my Kayak so I am going slow most time drifting or kind of sitting in one location tied to a tree etc. My Question is Can you make a video Showing How to use it to know if a fish is going under you or a school of bate fish etc. I find Hundreds if not thousands of videos on them but they all seem o be moving at a high speed and showing arch's etc. I do understand that BUT I cannot find informational Video On when you are not moving fast enough to produce arch's. Can You Please Help those of us who are new still. Thank You and I do find your video helpful to.
Hey mark just wanted to tell you I went to Freeport jetties yesterday evening and caught a ton of fish! Many keeper specs, lots of tiny bluefish, and even a couple of Spanish mackerel. When you going out there again? Would like to say hi!
Great view of the lowrance screen. Best kayak/fish finder use video I've seen.

That's a great idea!!!
MDLR Fishing, great when ice fishing too. Although that's not likely in your present zipcode.
