Guys, here is a top secret that I don't make any videos about because people know which pressured ponds I fish but the way I fish them makes it 10 times easier. Do you live by a pond where you can see the bass all the time but they just will not hit your lures? What you need to do is tie on a dropshot, and catch some baitfish out of that pond that they eat. Then, rig the bait on the dropshot on the hook by going in the mouth and through the roof of the mouth, then simply fish. The bait will tell you when a predator is around because you will feel him trying to get away. then you will feel the bass swimming away. then set the hook haha it's the best way I've found to fish pressured ponds, it works best if you can fish off of a bridge or gazebo and watch. It's really money
I know what you mean, the bait will let you know if hes about to get chomped. Ive had some crazy topwater blow ups where my bluegill or shiner will go straight to surface, do a little splash then BAM topwater explosion. Or like you said they will suddenly get super active underneath then shortly after your line will start running. Ive recently gotten hooked on live bait fishing because of the action ive had. Im 33 and fished artificial since i was 12 or so up until about a month ago. Only time i fish artificial now is when im throwing casts between catching fish on live bait 😂
Awesome to see you getting the little man out! My boy is 5 and asks me every time I have him "so dad when we going fishing, dad are we goin fishin today or what"? Definitely proud dad moments seeing them having a good time! Enjoying your videos!
My wifes account was signed in for the comment below. Been watching you for while trying to improve my bass game. Thought this bluegill vid would be fun to try this morning at a local spot ive nailed some 3-5lb bass. First try and ended up nailing a 7lb catfish instead but had other bites so definitley fun and got snagged alot less since the bait gets itself out of the rocks. Cant wait to see more vids! Reply
In my head I don’t understand how Max and say Lojos son aren’t constantly out bass fishing and seemingly don’t know how to use a baitcaster... is max using a spin caster lol , Ben come on brother go teach that boy your ways. It would be super cool if once a month you took him out and taught him, and tried to help him beat his PB. It could be a series!
You kept losing your bobbers because you only hooked the line onto one catch, unless there's some method to your madness of only hooking your line to one catch instead of both. In which case, I'd like to hear about it (well maybe... you did keep losing them ;)!
It's kind of cool, you took me fishing at this lake when we went to IWCC back in 09-10. I feel cool I got to fish with you way before there were any MF'ers!!
Fished blue gill perch with bobber for years. Had a lot of luck but stumbled on a better way to fish the perch. Take the perch dorsal fin up stick him in the head to kill. Now hook him like a minnow through the back no bobber no weight. Cast in areas you might throw a worm around edges and drop offs. Be sure to push release button if you set your rod down. If you don't get a bite after a few minutes cast and reel on top of water to atrack attention and stop and let him slowly sink. I have caught several big bass doing this a lot more successful than cork. Mostly I fish farm ponds. Good fishing everyone!!!!!!!
As a gamer like my self there’s nothing better then seeing kids out here fishing I been taking a break from Games and just fishing it’s do relaxing in the morning😊
Not only was this a great vid, but it also taught me everything i needed to know in order to fish like this which i was wanting to do. I am subbed now btw, great content!
I agree with Clayton Brown, if you attach the line to both ends of the bobber there is a less chance that the bomber will come of when you set the hook.
Milliken, I know you've been doing this for years but down here we have a 9,10,12 and a 14 on the wall from live bluegills. Instead of setting as soon as the bobber goes under, wait and let the fish run for 30 yards then set.
Love watching your subscribers climb buddy. I'm up near Lake Champlain actually 20 minutes from the elite series launch this weekend. May post some Video, Happy for you, Glad its all coming together.
You should hook the clip on the top of the bobber too, not just the bottom like you were. Push down the little red top to expose just the hook at the top. Do both hooks and you won't lose a single bobber. But awesome video- love seeing the joy in your sons eye while fishing too!
Fishing on my Birthday here. Nice fish. I have 3 grandsons to take fishing one day, but 2 of them live 8 hours away and the other is only 3 right now. One day it will happen.
I was fishing at the Saguaro Lake here in Arizona yesterday, and I saw a dad and his son fishing. When he said his son's name, which is also Max, I immediately looked over expecting to see you. hahaha, but of course I didn't.
I use 4 inch gills but, I hook mine just under the skin in the neck, my lake doesn't have many bass in your size range (small) has a bunch of finicky large bass in the range of 3 to 7 1/2 pound beasts. Tried hooking them in the tail, had more stolen gills than caught largies so that's why I hook them the way I do. I lost a lot of floats when I only "single" attached them, maybe it is because I use 20 lb. Spider Stealth braid. I fish in heavy weed pockets and the braid cuts weeds like a lawnmower instead of piling on the fish. Now I hook my line on both ends of my 2" float, no more lost floats.
My child is a 25 year-old girl who loves to catch fish. The only thing she likes more is out-fishing her old man. I've made sure that she catches more and bigger fish than me lots of times and whenever she does, I whine like a little bitch, and she loves it!
I use 3 to 4 inch bluegill and it typically Catch-22 4lb bass I like to cut the tail off makes them less maneuverable and they just kind of vibrate around in the water and the bass can't resist
There's a pond in TN where my bro lives where one of the only ways to get the big ones to bite is to do this technique. Saw a guy land a 4 and a 5 one day doing this. Nice to see Slaunch Hunter Jr. (aka Max) out there with you. I have 2 kids and they will be fishing soon too. Nice vid!
Fantastic video. My 11yr old and 8yr old are now MF fans and think your son is the man. All they talk about with their friends now are Jake & Logan Paul, and Milliken. So funny. Really good video for guys like us to share with our kids. Keep up the great content.
The mouth is the best place to hook a blue gill because the bass attack the head. I have been fishing forever and I use blue gill alot at my lake. I have caught 10 pound bass and 30 pound flat headed catfish, non of this small stuff.
The Story Writer he’s fishing with his boy man catching small fish is better then catching no fish. The kid wooing have fun if he wasn’t catching fish.
Blue gill is my fav catfish bait tbh. I used a bluegill and caught my pb blue catfish on a kayak. It was 16.31 lbs. and I don't catfish fish much nor kayak fish so that was the full experience
Keep it up man!!! Your doin a good job. Liking your videos. Takes a lot to do this full time. I wish the best. Keep the videos coming I'll keep watching and smashing the like button!!!!
Hey man just a tip you prob already know but just in case! But you’re bobbers keep coming off because you’re only putting it on with one of the notches there is another one on top to secure it on the line. Just noticed and hoped it helped!
If there hittin blue gill , try xlarge shiners . I live well shiners for Mo.s at a time and ad much yellow food color , it turns em gold . Kind of much work for Mins. on the hook .
I use like a 4 inch blue gill hook it in the middle with a catfish hook and cast it to the middle of my pond and there are some big catfish but I mostly get bass
"Why do my bobbers keep comin off?" You're only using the bottom hook lmao. That's like asking how come your tires keep falling off when you only use 1 lug. I love your vids bro. Your personality is perfect. I feel the amount that you tune down is just right. It has just the right amount of edge. Keep up the great work and let me know if you're ever in northern NJ. I'd love to treat you to some super quality bourbon while chillin on a bank lookin for slaunches
I have great luck with bream,,as big as I can find. Ive caught bass that you wouldnt have thought would hit the that large , but they will hit them as large a bream as you can catch. catfishing is what I only use bream for and shrimp some too
The quality time with little man is everything. This was 4 years ago your boys probably gettin big now. Hope he still loves fishing with dad
“Wonder why my bobbers keep coming off”... as he only puts the line through the bottom of it
Mll yg.j@'o
Big F
Oh shit
I was gonna say he probably doesnt fish with bobbers often huh lol
Being a father myself, fishing with your son is always a good video to watch. Keep it up!
Real shit man being there for your kid! And getting him in fishing keeping him out of trouble! Thats the way to do bruh
Yes, I also mean like you...

Love it!!! Awesome way to catch em
Thanks man!
Hi lojo u where the first fishing youtuber i watched

Team Wagy thank I will try that because the pond I go to isn't pressured but you can see them eating bluegill
oh... I do this all the time...
I know what you mean, the bait will let you know if hes about to get chomped. Love the videos with Max! Wife is due in September with my new fishing buddy. Can't wait to make memories with him like you do with Max.

Awesome to see you getting the little man out! My boy is 5 and asks me every time I have him "so dad when we going fishing, dad are we goin fishin today or what"? Definitely proud dad moments seeing them having a good time! Enjoying your videos!

Max was slaying it! I was dying with the dab at the end. Awesome!

Yo. I catch a lot of fish on my spincaster!

I live in Millard I've been to that lake and caught good fish
Throwing shade at flair. I like it
Haha it was all in good fun...and I loved it.
I agree with Clayton Brown, if you attach the line to both ends of the bobber there is a less chance that the bomber will come of when you set the hook.
Any day you can be on the lake and bonus have your kids with you is a huge joy and blessing.
Awesome video with your boy.. The frog catch and cook too.
Milliken, I know you've been doing this for years but down here we have a 9,10,12 and a 14 on the wall from live bluegills. Instead of setting as soon as the bobber goes under, wait and let the fish run for 30 yards then set.
The terrible idea it'll swallow the hook by then
@@Eiangames never happens. And we let them swim with it for up to a minute and a half.
@@MGFishin had them nearly get that hook after I left them swim with it for only like 10 seconds
I was fishing for little bluegills, much like you were, with a little dock demon deluxe, and a 4 lbs bass CRUSHED it. It is currently my PB
Another good one man. Great day with the kid. It's what makes the world go round. Keep em coming.
Love watching your subscribers climb buddy. I'm up near Lake Champlain actually 20 minutes from the elite series launch this weekend. May post some Video, Happy for you, Glad its all coming together.

I love using bluegill for bass bait, i found if i scale one side the bluegill appears injured which usually makes for a faster bite
You’ve done a great job bonding with your son, whether you catch anything of not. Good Dad, aarf.
Nice opening tunes!!! Thanks for the vid 👍👍

You are a cool daddy. That is the way I treat my kid. Good fishing Bro!
You changed my life many thanks!

dude what was with your bobber? shoulda used both clips on it. cool video, reminds me I need to go try this at some of my CO ponds this summer.
Haha great question. It didn't hold up to my 65 lb braid and hook sets too well. Thanks for watching!
Hey man just a tip you prob already know but just in case! But you’re bobbers keep coming off because you’re only putting it on with one of the notches there is another one on top to secure it on the line. Just noticed and hoped it helped!

Been using artificial too long. Great video but you need to use both sides of the bobber. Love your channel though. Tight lines

on the bottom before sunset or on cloudy days spotted bass will get the bream fast
creek chubs are amazing baits.
