I don’t think the title is ironic. Although the fire destroyed much of the roof and the spire which is unfortunate, the building itself still stands. The fact that the church was able to withstand the fire in almost perfect condition, the fact that it surpassed WWI, WWII, the revolutions in France, and has lived through many impactful historical events - for me, the Notre-Dame is the epitome of “standing the test of time”.

Strange how this popped up after it burns down
This didn't age well. So sad.
The media is saying that the towers seem to be intact. Hopefully this beautiful building can be saved.
It hurts beyond words.........
Who is responsible for the fire on 4/15/2019????? We want answers.
@ClandestineOstrich thats why they are propagandists.......it was intentionally set by a middle eastern cult group...any guesses?
Chinese people hurt the feelings of millions of French people by their comments about the incident. Did ya'll French made them apologize or threaten that they will lose access to the French market?
I wish this didn't pop up on my recommended. I'm still trying to get over the fact that some it is gone now. Thank goodness firefighters saved many priceless artifacts.
10 months ago all was well. Today, April 15th, 2019 so much of it is gone !
And yesterday it was brought down, although not completely. My heart aches for you France. Prayers coming from the U.S. for such a huge loss. The world mourns with you today.
Seeing this in tact is a bit...
Odd. Now as of April 15th, 2019, this huge building is burning.
Boy this aged well
